Everything just as advertised (photos/reviews etc). We had a great stay, very peaceful and nice view. Easy walk 30 minute downhill walk to Bowness-on-Windermere - quite steep coming back!
We have had a very comfortable 3 night stay in Cherry Cottage with our family of 6 adults and 5 young children. The property was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed and was lovely and warm. Everything to make for a good stay has been thought about. The Oaks is in a picturesque and quiet area and Bowness is only a few minutes drive away. We would love to come here again.
Everything was top notch, my family will be returning to the Oaks Country House. Excellent facilities and location.
9 Guys in the lakes riding bikes and the cottage was great, really tidy, clean, great facilities lovely location.
Such a lovely little cosy cottage with stunning views of the fells. We felt at home right away. The hot tub was an additional treat after a long days walking.& we weren’t overlooked. I thoroughly recommend this place & am sure we’ll be back. The kitchen is v well equipped & all you need to bring is food staples. There’s not a lot of storage space for clothes & shoes but we did have a lot of stuff! Thank you Jo & Sarah.
The location of the property was brilliant,the grounds were lovely and it was quite at night. We enjoyed the hot tub most days despite the weather and found enough space surrounding the houses to set up a mini badminton 'court' so the kids could have fun! The house is well laid out, with decent sized bedrooms. The single room is actually quite lovely - really nice and bright so my daughter was happy despite not having a double bed! We go away every year as a family and have stayed in many cottages. To be honest it was a bit disappointing. The beds were uncomfortable and I've never stayed anywhere that doesn't have salt and pepper!
