We absolute love this place. The lodge itself is comfortable and fully equipped with everything you need. Hot tub is great. It’s so peaceful. Beautiful views. Not far away from Bowness, 5 minutes in the car or a 25 minute walk. Staff are welcoming and really helpful. Can’t wait to return.
Maple cottage was a wonderful lodge for a family of 9 - three generations- lots of space and very well equipped- the hot tub an added bonus which everyone enjoyed. A lovely small estate surrounded by relaxing countryside yet close enough to access the more popular sites. Staff are unobtrusive but on hand and very helpful if needed. This is our second visit and we have already booked our third.
Fantastic place to stay. Good choice of accommodation options and size. Friendly, helpful, professional staff who are there to help from the point of booking to leaving. Great location with Bowness-on-Windermere within walking distance. We have stayed there two yeas in succession for New Year and on each occasion cannot fault. Accommodation very clean with everything you need. Fantastic views. Great hot tub and great log burner. Great place for groups and families Would 100% fully recommend anyone to stay here. You won't be disappointed. We will be going back.
We stayed in Elm Cottage which was spacious and very well equipped. We were a family of 9 - including baby and there was more than enough room for us all. The hot tub was well used, magical on a cold, clear night looking up at the stars. Location is great for walking into Bowness or driving further afield. This is our third stay here and we will definitely return. Thank you to all the helpful and friendly staff from The Snape family.
We all really enjoyed our long weekend stay. A group of 16 similar ages and all enjoyed the facilities of the country house. Great location being only a 15 minute leisurely walk into Bowness. Couldn't fault anything at all.
Our stay at The Oaks Country Estate was so good. The accommodation, the staff on site, the grounds really everything was outstanding. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to my friends.
We had a wonderful stay at Beech cottage over the new year period. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, well equipped with everything that you would need. Just a couple of negatives we noticed, the handle on the log burner kept falling off and requires repair, the oven doesn’t seem to heat to the correct temperature possibly the thermostat needs replaced.
Such a lovely little cosy cottage with stunning views of the fells. We felt at home right away. The hot tub was an additional treat after a long days walking.& we weren’t overlooked. I thoroughly recommend this place & am sure we’ll be back. The kitchen is v well equipped & all you need to bring is food staples. There’s not a lot of storage space for clothes & shoes but we did have a lot of stuff! Thank you Jo & Sarah.
Beautiful place to stay, good kitchen , comfy beds and great hot tub. Good customer service too. The only niggle was what I assume was one of the cleaners parking in one of our designated parking spaces most days , which was a little annoying.
We had a lovely week staying at Rowan cottage. We were there with our children and grandchildren. The kids especially enjoyed the outdoor space. The house was very comfortable and suited our needs. Would definitely recommend it.
