We found the Milking Parlour to be an excellent property for our visit to Suffolk. The owners were friendly and helpful and cleanliness and comfort were obviously a high priority. The open plan kitchen, dining and living areas were well designed and there was also a very comfortable bed and efficient shower. The accommodation was ideally situated for visiting coast and country.
An amazing yurt to experience clamping with kids .the whole family had a great time. Disconnected from the digital world.highly recommend
What a lovely cottage! It was comfortable and clean. The hosts were very helpful and accessible which made everything go smoothly. The location was central but quiet and having horses near was an added bonus. The local pub, The Queens Head, was delightful and the publican Steve made us feel like locals.
The Woodshed exceeded even our high expectations! A privilege to be able to wander through 250 acres of mixed woodland including an arboretum of exotic trees and shrubs and a secret water garden more beautiful than Giverny (Monet's garden). Surrounded by the green of our Woodshed's yew-walled garden and its clever foliage, backed by nearby tall deciduous trees, we spent most of our time in the courtyard of the property, or walking barefoot on the springy lawn and relaxing under its smaller trees. We lived outside! We took frequent exploratory walks through the woods and onto the racecourse...more
I recently spent five weeks in Box Cottage and experienced all the comforts of home. The cottage is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. The garden is lovely with good seating a place to relax at all times. A long stay which turned into a very enjoyable holiday. I will be back.
We have just spent a week at The Dove House, the second time we have so. This is excellent accommodation which would be hard to better in south Suffolk. A Lovely location at which to spend a relaxing time, but near enough to Ipswich and Sudbury if more facilities or shops are needed. Plenty of interesting places and pubs to visit are nearby. We feel any guests booking The Dove House for a relaxing Suffolk holiday will not be disappointed.
Lovely interior designed loft overlooking a wonderfully rambling garden. Hosts were very friendly and encouraged us to roam anywhere we liked.
Warm, comfortable, extremely spacious and had everything we needed - including a welcome pack for the dog! Highly recommend this beautiful property.
A lovely cottage - clean, well maintained, and very quiet - in a lovely location: a great place to return to after a day out visiting local attractions, pretty much guaranteed a good night's sleep.
Great position in outskirts of friendly village of Nayland. Lovely walks and pubs (one walking distance - all documented in beautifully informative and extensive folder). The Mill St Deli was awesome - sourdough a must, sausage rolls are divine and basic groceries incl toothbrushes are reasonably priced. Everything in the house and garden worked brilliantly. I especially liked the automatic lights in bathroom and plug in auto nightlight in hall. Garden perfect for when my dog needed to have a nighttime tiddle. The log burner was the highlight for me. Hearing owls, flocks of geese fl...more
This is our third stay across the halls accommodation. Thoroughly enjoyed the building & area. Great
The Hayloft is extremely well presented, with a blend of the old, retro, new features and decor. The location is perfect for walks, sightseeing and discovering the local history. What made it extra special for me was the fact that i am a massive fan of the Lovejoy TV series from days gone past. to be able to stay in his workshop, in the grounds of Belchamp / Felsham Hall, was a dream come true. Would highly recommend a stay there. Thank you for making it part of a perfect experience.
Looking to book a small cosy cottage with wood burner and large comfortable beds in village location and Swans Nest met our needs. It also had a bathroom for each of the two bedrooms as, at the weekend, our two daughters came to stay, So quite unusual to have these facilities for a small cottage and it also had a downstairs loo off the kitchen. Although wanting a log burner to sit by in the evening we only lit it a couple of times as the sitting room upstairs was so comfortable with lovely views we sat here most evenings. The kitchen area is very small but quite adequate for us as we ate o...more
Tea Caddy Cottage is quirky, idyllic and just right. It would be hard to imagine a more perfect place to take a break.
This is a really special place and everything was perfect. Stylish, well equipped, comfortable and in a beautiful, tranquil location. Dog walks were literally on the doorstep which as well as being convenient, was ideal to explore the surrounding countryside. Am already thinking about when I can return...

We were fortunate with the weather and had excellent days locally in Lavenham, Boxford, Long Melford and Sudbury itself. Further afield we visited Constable Country - Flatford and Dedham. We also had a very instructive day at Sutton Hoo. Although we live in Somerset, we had never visited this area before so it was all a real pleasure. Our Australian friends, with whom we shared the rental, also hugely enjoyed it all. The cottage was perfect for our needs. Just one small quibble - there seemed to have been a mix-up between cottages.com and our hosts (Alex and Alex) because they weren't ex...more
We felt privileged to stay in this historic gem of a cottage. It is a beautiful example of the architecture of the period whilst being very cosy and homely. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner in the garden just off the kitchen at the back of the cottage, which is sunny and private. The kitchen was well equipped and although I’m unused to an aga, it proved easy enough to master. The two bedrooms upstairs were light spacious with comfy beds and quality bed linen. The downstairs bedroom with en-suite was a necessary feature for us as one of our party has restricted mobility. It was as described and ...more
• The owners left us a welcome package of apple juice, bread, biscuits and eggs. All very welcome, especially the apple juice which, although looking challenging, was total nectar! • Yew Tree Barn is very well located for the “Constable Country” of Stoke-by-Nayland / Flatford / Dedham / East Bergholt etc. • Yew Tree Barn (YTB) is spacious, beautifully appointed and well equipped. Many places we stay are pretty but clearly have not considered that, having unpacked, you need to leave the suitcases / boxes and bags somewhere. This does not apply to YTB. We used the second bedroom but there w...more
We enjoyed our stay at the Coach House. The orchard was very inviting and generally it was a great place to unwind. The bed was comfortable but in such a big room, why not have a king bed? There was attention to detail but a few things were missed: the telly command stopped working and we had to buy batteries for it, one of the frying pans was bent, rendering cooking with it impossible and the general bin had a mind of its own. We had to plead with it to open, it was temperamental. These are small things but one would expect the place to be spotless at all levels. Hence my mentioning these ...more
We enjoyed our stay and the complimentary items were a surprise and nice touch. I wished I had longer in the property by getting access earlier which would have made it more value for money
Lovely village and location but cleanliness could be improved especially kitchen stuff. Feels like it needs a deep clean.
