Tucked away in the idyllic countryside of Shebdon in Staffordshire, Heron's Hide is a beautiful shepherds hut in a remote, private and peaceful location, with stunning waterfront views. Set in a woodland adjacent to a private lake, you have use of the outstanding facilities including a Scandinavian log-fired hot tub and access to the lake for fishing and kayaking. Enjoy a relaxing night's sleep in bespoke super-king sized bed under the stars.

Booked this for myself and my partner fairly last minute, we fell in love with the place.

This place more than lived up to our expectations.
The cabin was one of 2 around the same large pond, but you can't see or hear the other guests somehow? We found it incredibly private and relaxing, the ducks as our only company. They are bold and fearless, they did invite themselves into the cabin when we left the door open while hot tubbing and left us a lovely green present on the floor!
The hot tub was absolutely lush, though it did take us a while to get used to it - it needs a LOT of wood, as the instructions said!
The cabin was so comfortable, the bed was INSANE in a good way and the cabin itself wasn't too small.
The land is literally in the middle of nowhere, head to the nearby town of Newport for a touch of civilisation, the other little towns are really out of touch and nothing in them worth visiting...
The literal only thing I can complain about is that the listing did say toiletries were included, but there were none. There was a slither of soap left in the handwash bottle, no bath/shower toiletries - so make sure you bring your own.
