We absolutely loved our stay in the shepherds hut everything has been thought of what it lacks in space is made up by the attention to detail everything you need is provided the location was amazing looking out over fields we used the fire pit every evening and enjoyed the tranquility
Spent 4 nights in a pod for the first time and throughly enjoyed it. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Literally thought of all your needs for a lovely break.
We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here. The location is amazing, so peaceful and quiet and you really feel like you are getting away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The hut was very well appointed with everything we needed, and the outside bath and kitchen were nice touches that enabled us to stay outside as much as possible. We enjoyed cooking the contents of the BBQ Retreat Box that was waiting for us when we arrived on the fire pit. We will definitely return.
Best friend’s birthday treat and it was just perfect, Well thought out shepherds hut anyone would be hard pressed to find fault we will be back.
We had a wonderful 3 night break. Lovely open site with so much space. Everything was thought out. Having a private shower room was wonderful as all damp stuff was kept out of our tent. We love to have a fire when we can and consider it part of the joy of camping so the provision of a fire pit and supply of wood kindling fire lighters and even matches was a wonderful touch. I can highly recommend this site for families. The local pub The Ostrich Inn is walkable to and serves really good food.
The safari tents were even better than the photos! Really clean, cosy and well equipped. Jono was really helpful and there was loads to do in the surrounding area.
Our only thing was we couldn't light the pizza oven as alot of the wood provided was too wet. Apart from that we had a lovely time
Myself and husband love staying here, will make it a yearly visit. Lovely walks to pub. Yurt is lovely tidy and clean.
Very nice, clean and comfortable accommodation in a quiet location. Alison the host was very welcoming and very pleasant to talk to and deal with. It's around 40 minutes or so from Ipswich, Aldeburgh and Bury St. Edmunds but did not find this an issue. Thank you for hosting us for the weekend. Highly recommended.
really luxury glamping accommodation with lots of great touches, not least the electric blankets to warm all the beds on a chilly british evening! great home cooked food was lovely to arrive to. fantastic to have electricity, but the most beautiful attraction is the setting ... breathtaking and well maintained.
We received a warm welcome on arrival the milking parlour was everything we hoped for and more. I booked this for my parents as my Mum has walking difficulties and it was ideal clean and spacious we everything you could need for a stay great location
A lovely location with relaxed atmosphere. All the facilities were clean and we had room to store food with local amenities not too far away. Space for children to run around. You felt like you were camping but with extra home comforts. The hot tub was lovely once you got it going after a few hours. Would love to come back!.
Was an amazing stay the owners was very welcoming and helpful, the pod was so cosset and warm was such a peaceful weekend. Highly recommended
This is one of the best places,we have stayed if you like to unwynd and gerenally not have to worry. John the owner was always happy to help and very welcoming. Hot tub was easy to operate and very handy Enjoyed it that much we stopped on for a few more days,,which John sorted for us.we are going to book for next year.
Had a lovely 2 night stay, beautifully kept accommodation and grounds with a great host. Perfect location for relaxing or exploring.
Greeted by Paula who is the perfect host we then looked at the beautiful views of the Wolds from the veranda. The 3 pods have plenty of space for privacy and the only sounds you will hear is from the sheep and birds in the adjacent fields. All pods are extremely clean and spacious, with all amenities including fantastic WIFI! The only thing we found uncomfortable was the sofa, but the bed was extremely comfy and the pod was warm with the underfloor heating...which was used in September! The dog had plenty of room too and the pods are situated within a field where the dog can exercise on a lead...more
A cute and cozy lodge. My partner and I went all over the lakes from the location too as it’s very close to drive to lots of spots for walks or to check out towns. The owner also left a folder with lots of info on activities, places to eat and things to see all around the area. There was also plenty of info on how to use the appliances etc. I was also given all the info needed to get to the location by email. All in all, a great experience and the owner went above and beyond to provide as much info as possible. I highly recommend staying here if you want a lovely secluded spot to stay and look...more
Absolutely delighted with this location. It's new, comfortable, secluded and quiet. Everything you could need is provided. Highly recommended
We recently stayed here for one night and what an absolute gem of a hideaway. Not only the location, just a five minute walk away to the harbour, but also the accommodation…I have never stayed anywhere so quaint. Although the hut appeared seemingly rather cosy, the bed opens up to the size of a double and was ultra comfy. There was also everything you could need inside…including a fantastic goody basket. Many thanks to Christine for showing us the inside to her house and enlightening us on the fantastic story behind it. The entire trip was incredible and would thoroughly recommend.
We stayed a couple of nights, luckily in good weather and with the site to ourselves. The eating area was a nice place to relax during the evening.
Absolutely loved our stay at Tall Trees! Everything was perfect and we couldn't fault a single thing! Beautiful location and gorgeous lodges. Every detail was carefully considered from the positioning of each lodge to allow for privacy, down to beautiful bedding on THE most comfortable beds. Loved the wood burning stove for the chilly evenings/mornings and must mention that the bathroom was as good as any top hotel. This was glamping at its best! Jono the host was the perfect mix of attentive whilst allowing us the freedom to enjoy our surroundings. We booked 3 of the lodges with 11 family m...more
Great place to stay, lovely hosts. Only fault we found was that the fencing doesn't stop small dogs running out of the meadow onto the road. Other than that it was perfect
Vale view is the 2nd Pod I have stayed in over the last 4 years and this one was the best of the 2, fantastic view from the decking of the pod where you can see literally for miles. Loved the outside furniture, quality chairs and long bench with a nice table and Fire pit supplied. It is a must for star gazers who don't like light pollution, a real treat at night as you sit in front of a roaring fire pit. The pod itself is roomy enough for 2 people, I came here on my own with our dog for 3 nights for a break as my wife was away with her sister in York at the same time, pleased I picked this pla...more
A very nice stay at the Shepherds Hut. Very comfortable, clean and a lovely experience. Good views too! Thank you to Jackie & Alan for their kindness. We will look forward to going back.
My family and friends stayed at Black Pig Retreat and had a wonderful week. The safari tent was thoughtfully supplied with everything we could possibly need and the kids loved bug hunting in the meadow and walking through the woods. It was wonderful having a fire in the evening and toasting marshmallows and sitting on the veranda with a coffee in the morning. The accommodation was comfortable and I loved the wood burner. Only two suggestions. Little lights on the steps at night as it was very dark going up and down the steps and a flatter area for the fire pit as chairs kept rolling down th...more
Great get away! Only criticism is we wanted to try out the Spa but seemed a little difficult to organise.
We had a wonderful weekend glamping in Bleasdale. This is an amazing site with everything that you need. The area was beautiful and the tents were amazing. We are used to camping in our own tent so this felt luxurious! I would highley recommend this to anyone! It was expensive for us but we do hope to save up and go again at some point.
The tent is on a beautiful site, very peaceful, surrounded by woodland for walks. There are 6 tents I think, but all very well spaced out and you couldn't hear each other at all. There is a pond at the bottom of the garden, which is fenced off, but still has a steep drop, so keep an eye on smalls heading down there. The tent itself had a great fire pit, a picnic table (very handy), enough patio furniture for lots of people, and very comfy beds with lovely white bedding, and lots of fluffy blankets. The fire worked very well, the wood is plentiful and free, which makes a nice change, and we man...more
Loved everything about it. We were so impressed how clean everything was and how much was fitted inside the yurt. We loved the location as we love walking to country pubs but if you don't like walking you will need a car to get about. I cannot say anything negative about this lovely place to stay.
This accommodation is beautiful. I loved the extra touches, all paying homage to the history of the carriage as a genuine old passenger carriage. Chris and Polly have pulled off the trick of making this a thoroughly comfortable place to stay with all the modern conveniences but without compromising on its unique character. Although we had mixed fortunes with the weather, it was still enjoyable to sit at the window of the carriage in the warmth with a glass of wine and just watch the rain. And when the sun shone the paddock where the carriage is set was a great place to sit outside. G...more
Our stay was good, positive customer service. There are a few cosmetic changes that would be great e.g. the heights of mirrors, Some people may be too short or too tall so the mirrors may need to be bigger in length. The tent was secluded which was lovely but having to carry our luggage to the tent from the car was bothersome and would not suit those with physical disabilities.
We loved the glamping experience and enjoyed the peaceful setting at Black Pig Retreats. The safari tent was well equipped to a high standard, with attention paid to detail. The hosts were friendly and helpful. As a family of 6 it was a little more cramped in terms of the 'kitchen' area for cooking and the fridge space was very small. Additionally, there were only 4 chairs at the table inside, but that wasn't a big deal as we didn't eat inside very often. As the great British weather was a bit disappointing it was lovely to have the wood burning fire inside in the evening when it turned mo...more
We had a two night stay at the accomodation it was just as we imagined. It was a little chilly at night but the hut had an electric heater which helped. There was plenty of room for two and the dog. Outside there was enough space for the dog to run around too. If you want to go to the pub which is located on site it's best to book a table in advance. Thankfully the weather stayed nice all weekend so we were able to get out and explore
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this luxurious shepherd hut. All the added extras that were laid on to welcome us were a beautiful and appreciated touch. The host was always contactable and on hand to offer advice on places to visit. For gin lovers, a trip to the Bombay Saphire Distillery is a must! This beautiful hut really does have everything you need for a relaxing escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life.
The Pheasant provided a lovely place for a weekend away. It has everything you need in it and every little detail has been considered. Definitely worth a visit. Thank you!
There were only a few things missing in the cabin, that I thought should be there everything else had been thought of. We thought it was in a quiet area, and lucky with the sunshine. We had booked 3 nights and stayed only the 2 due to being poorly from a local eatery so no fault of the stay we had at First Carriage. Something I really want to mention & is easily resolved - I felt like the bedding was very uncomfortable, the mattress itself was fine but the quality of the bed sheets were very poor which made the cabin much hotter at night, we had the hottest weather that weekend this su...more
Location a lot smaller than expected with cabins cramped in together, nothing available to eat out within walking distance. Well kept cabin and was nice and quiet for our stay despite the close proximity of other cabins & pods.
So as you can imagine 12, 40 plus ladies all getting away for the weekend was excitable to say the least, we chose The Cluster at Queens for our first glamping experience, on arrival we were surprised that the bathrooms and kitchen were no where near the sleeping area we thought it would all be together, anyhow it was ok, The biggest surprise is that the camping area is smack bang in the middle of houses, your surrounded, to cut a long story short we had a man shouting at us and peeking through the hedge telling us to shut up and our music was a load of rubbish, personal opinion, then at 17.30...more
