Converted in 2009 from a two storey stone stable built in 1797, our Grade II listed cottage combines the character and appeal of an historic building with all modern comforts in a secluded courtyard of mellow cotswold stone buildings.

We stayed at The Stables with our daughter, son in law and their 4 month old twins. The accommodation is spacious and there was plenty of room for us all to spread out. The beds in all rooms were very comfy with lovely linen. The kitchen is very well equipped and there was fresh milk and tea and coffee left for us. The village pub, The Baker’s Arms, is a 10 minute walk from the cottage and well worth a visit, we ate there twice during our stay. Would recommend if you want to stay in the Broad Campden area.

We stayed at "The Stables" for a family wedding at a local venue. It is a spacious house, with a good sized garden, and was very suitable for our two small grandchildren. The house is extremely well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beds were super comfy, with lovely linen and there was a generous supply of towels. It is ideally situated for a range of Cotswold attractions as there is easy access to main roads. We can recommend it.

We enjoyed four memorable nights at the Stables for a surprise birthday treat with family and friends. The cottage is well located in a very quiet corner of this beautiful Cotswold village. It’s really spacious downstairs with plenty of room in each part, plus a lovely secluded garden. The bedrooms are well equipped, two with sinks, and very comfy beds and bedding. Shared bathroom and large downstairs shower worked ok for us. We’d recommend it strongly.

Our stay at The Stables was lovely, June 22-24, 2023. We thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous scenery of homes, rolling pastures & livestock. Being able to walk to the charming pub “Bakers Arms” was a treat for us & we had a great dinner for two nights. After all, we were Americans adjusting to driving the UK roads (sorry for all the angry round-about drivers we caused). The walking path by the house was so convenient & pleasant! It was a welcome break of driving for us!

We enjoyed the large kitchen and dining room at The Stables. Our bedrooms were also nice with comfortable beds. Plus, the backyard garden was so peaceful & relaxing. We had been traveling the UK for days and were so excited to have a washer and dryer to use.

Going to the Cotswolds was a dream for us & it did not disappoint! The area of Broad Campden & the local town of Chipping Campden were so nice to explore. We enjoyed eating a sandwich at Victor’s in Chipping Campden, ordered pizza from an italian restaurant, and picked up groceries there. It also was a reasonable drive to Blenheim Palace where we were thrilled to see this year’s flower show. Diddlysquat Farm is another stop we made.

Thank you so very much to the owners and cleaners of The Stables. Our stay was very special. We highly recommend this experience to our friends.

We had an amazing stay at The Stables for three nights. There was more than enough room for our family of 6 with three separate bedrooms and a large kitchen and dining area as well as a sitting/reading room and a very large formal sitting area with multiple sofas. There was a beautiful garden at the back as well as at the entrance. There was also ample private parking available in front of the door. The village itself is also very beautiful with many thatched cottages that made our trip to the Cotswolds an extra special. Communication with the host was also very easy.

We arrived well past the check-in times and had no issues retrieving the keys to check ourselves in. Upon entering, the open-plan kitchen and dining area welcome you. The kitchen had all the essentials including ample plates, spoons, knives, wine glasses and some milk to get us going. The front reception room is nice and large with comfortable seating for a large family gathering. All three bedrooms had space heaters and under-floor heating that kept the rooms cosy and warm. The bathrooms were clean and there was adequate bath linen for six adults.
The internet in the main reception area was choppy and given there is little to no cellular connectivity, it was the only link to the outside world. The furniture on the ground floor can do with a bit of a facelift and/or replacement. In addition to the ground-floor shower room, it would be nice to have a shower curtain for the first-floor bath which otherwise limits its use in the mornings.
With some minor improvements, this can be a gem of a getaway. Regardless, would recommend the place to anyone looking for the charm of a Cotswolds cottage and would go back another time. Thanks for having us.

We had a marvellous stay!

This cottage is in a lovely village location within walking distance to Chipping Campden and all it has to offer. Very comfortable and spacious and offering all mod cons. Lovely garden which could probably be made more of.
I would say that although we were allowed to arrive at 3pm, the advertised arrival time of 16.30 is too late for most parties particularly if only there over a weekend, and in winter would be pitch black.
We were left coffee, tea & milk which were appreciated, but after many, many rental holidays, a personal welcome note can make arrival somewhere new, much more welcoming. Just a thought.

We had a fantastic stay at The Stables. Plenty of space for 4 adults, a 5 year old and a 4 month old. The pictures really are deceptive about the size of the downstairs space, it’s much bigger than it looks and perfect for children and adult’s alike. We loved the exposed beams all over the cottage and the garden space was lovely. Our son especially liked seeing all the bees gathering pollen! We initially had a little trouble find the cottage, but on reading the instructions from the owners we were able to find it. Though an additional note about the small wooden sign would have helped! On arrival we had a little trouble with unlocking the door and phoned up for support and despite it being a Sunday, Nick said he would come and help get us in. Thankfully we sorted it and didn’t end up needing his help, but we were so grateful that he was willing to come over. You immediately walk into a lovely hall space with the kitchen to your left and the living areas to your right. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped and we loved the cooker, a fantastic space for cooking family meals. We didn’t really use the snug space or the fire but loved the comfy big living room. Very light and airy. A fantastic property in a beautiful Cotswolds village.
