Located in the quaint hamlet of Hidcote Boyce, Letterbox Cottage, a Grade II listed property, promised a cozy retreat. The beds were very comfortable, and the hot water supply excellent.

However, the cottage fell short of our expectations for a typical Cotswold charm. The decor felt outdated, with curtains that seemed to belong to another era and did nothing to enhance the stunning windows. The window seats have such great potential.

While the cottage's location was convenient, with easy access to local attractions and charming pubs, and the garden offered a pleasant retreat, some aspects left room for improvement. The dining room's inglenook fireplace, for instance, could be made into a decorative feature for added character, rather than just left empty.

Though we didn't have the chance to enjoy the summerhouse, it seemed in need of a bit more charm to make it inviting.

Incorporating some historical background about the house would make an interesting read.

Despite our mixed feelings about the property itself, we appreciated Welly Boots' excellent customer service and timely communication throughout our booking process. Their attentiveness undoubtedly contributed to a smoother experience overall.

Nice quiet location good for a getaway from London. Only downside is the low ceilings in some areas of the property - not just low, but lumpy and irregular.

What an absolutely beautiful stay my mom and I had at Letterbox Cottage. This was our first visit to the UK and we could not have picked a better place to stay. This cottage is situated just close enough to Chipping Campden and surrounding towns, but offers a rural escape when you want quiet. Everything was provided to cook any meal you could want. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the scenery cannot be beat!

Enjoyed our short break in the Cotswolds very pretty comfortable cottage ideal for 4 people. Old and characterful would have been good to know a bit more about the history of the cottage/ local village. Walking distance to hidcote gardens, 10 mins drive to chipping Camden and can recommend Howard arms at Ilmington for a good Sunday lunch.

This amazingly charming cottage is idyllic situated just close to Hidcote Manor and beautiful surrounding. We will for sure be back again.

A great place to stay for a few relaxing days, with some good opportunities for day trips. We went to Blennheim palace, Warwick castle, Chipping Campden town over hiking trails, horse riding from Stanton and to the lovely Hidcote gardens. The cottage felt like a home from home in the meantime. The low ceilings of the cottage lend character and the occasional bump to the head...

We enjoyed it thoroughly.

Our time at Letterbox Cottage was beautiful. It was everything we hoped it would be. The cottage is straight from a fairytale and we had such a lovely time during our stay.
From the beginning, the communication was accessible and very clear. We had no issues whatsoever and were pleasantly surprised at the thoughtful details Welly Boot Cottages puts into everything.
I cannot recommend this stay enough, and I'm counting down the days until we get to go back.
