Ivy Cottage is a hidden gem tucked away on the picturesque site of Camden Farm in West Oxfordshire. This property has a warm and cosy atmosphere with country chic interiors, wood burning stove and a hot tub. The cottage is also dog friendly!

Great weekend bolthole. Lovely surroundings, well kept and easy to get to some great places to walk and eat. Double Red Duke is highly recommended.
The hot-tub is great, but takes a good few hours to heat up.
Only reason cleanliness doesnt get 5 stars is it smelt of damp dog throughout and around the kitchen.

The cottage was spacious and very comfortable. We had everything we needed for cooking as well as up to date laundry facilities. The beds were so comfortable and fresh. Outside was perfect with the hot tub put to good use and walks to the river.

We (4 of us and a Dog) spent the weekend in this lovely cottage, the kitchen is super well equipped so we were able to cook some lovely meals. The bedrooms are all a really good size and there's plenty of space to hang out in the lounge.

We took a while getting the wood fired hot tub going and then it got too hot so we had to wait for it to cool down, but once the temperature was right it was dreamy!

The garden is well contained for a medium sized dog, I was not worried about letting her out off the lead at all.

All in all a lovely little cottage for a weekend getaway

We had a few days as a family in the cottage in the build up to the Bath Half Marathon.
A perfectly peaceful location in a cottage that was excellently presented and very spacious and comfortable for six adults

Fire was not laid, had the remains of an old fire. Sofas had seen better days and weren't very comfy at all. Usually when I go away there is a book of walks but there was nothing to show where we could walk. Once again usually there are books and games to play but there was nothing other than an old jigsaw and an incomplete pack of cards. Duvets were poor quality having areas where there was no filling so bits of you were getting cold and bits were too warm. Pillows were really insubstantial too. I also found all the emails regarding portals and guide books and downloading this book and uploading VIP passes etc etc etc just complicated the whole event.

We’re very sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations, Rona, especially as you left such a kind comment in the guest book at the property. For clarification, the fire is not laid in advance of guests’ arrivals; a layer of ash is left in the wood-burning stove, which helps with lighting the next fire. The two sofas offer different levels of comfort to suit personal preference: the green one is softer, and the cream one is firmer. The property owner and manager have checked the property and can confirm that the walking guide map is in the welcome file, and we’re sorry you were unable to locate it. The property listing does not specify the inclusion of books or games. All linen and towels are from John Lewis, and extra blankets and hot water bottles are also provided if needed. The information and digital guides we provide are intended to help guests make the most of their stay, and many guests find them helpful. The owners were a little surprised by your rating for the rural location, as being situated between two organic farms is something guests usually love, previous guests have even described it as a “beautiful location.” Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts

Beautiful location and so quiet. The cottage was lovely and big. There was a welcome package, consisting of wine, milk, butter, loaf of bread and biscuits. All very welcome. All the bedrooms were beautifully decorated. The only room that could have been better would be the larger upstairs bedroom it had no drawers. That would have made our holiday so much easier. Also there was only two sun loungers in the garden when there was three adults staying at the cottage. There are activities within the site, which is nice to have available. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Ivy Cottage was in a good location for us to visit places and was situated on a nice site with walks, table football, table tennis and a sauna had just been opened before we left, but we didn't have time to try.
Ivy Cottage did however lack a few things, more mugs and a sharp knife set would have been good for preparing veg etc...for cooking. The settees need replacing as one side you sunk into the seat. There were quite a few cobwebs, one bin had not been emptied in one of the shower rooms and opened sweet packages found in one bedroom drawer. One day when we returned we found the door open of the Woodfired hot tub, so had gone cold and never got round to trying.
Saying all this we did have a lovely stay with the family, just a few updates required.

The cottage was set in a wonderful location and everything for a really comfortable stay had been thought of, especially milk in the fridge for a cup of tea on arrival.
We really appreciated fans in each bedroom as we were staying in 30+ degrees.
The only thing lacking was an outside umbrella for the patio table.
We will definitely be returning with the wider family for another stay.

Lovely comfortable cottage with an excellent hot tub. Quiet and relaxing but close enough to places to visit.

It had everything we needed in the kitchen including staples ( eg oil & seasonings ) which was nice and there was a good selection of goodies left for us including milk for a cuppa!

Very welcoming for the dog with a good enclosed garden and some nice walks down the river.

The cottage is set on a farm with a couple of other rentals adjoining. A car is pretty much essential as there are no shops nearby. There is pub within walking distance along the Thames path which is very nice but given the waterlogged fields, not possible in our stay. No footpaths along the main fast road so no go there. Plenty of lovely villages in the area. The cottage itself is well maintained and comfortable. The underfloorheating was great and the rooms were all decorated and furnished to a good standard. Thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack and even a Xmas tree made us feel welcome. We had 6 adults, 3 babies under 2 and a dog and all enjoyed the stay. Plenty of parking space. All in all we had a great time and would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at Ivy Cottage for the weekend and had a great stay. The house was the perfect size and layout for a gathering. We enjoyed the hot tub and views! Each room had its own en-suite and the house manager was very responsive during our stay. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed for my mums 60th birthday. 6 adults a baby and a dog and would return in a heartbeat!
All the rooms were immaculate, everything was perfect, super clean and comfortable for us all.
The gardens and surrounding area were so well kept and we even made apple crumble from the tree outside!
We know we will be booking again when we can as we had the most perfect stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Ivy Cottage. All the cottages and barns at Camden Farm are well thought out and presented. Although there were other units close to us it felt very private. The secure wrap around garden was perfect for our dog. Plenty of walks on the Thames Path possible. I wasn't sure about the wood fired hot tub but it did warm up pretty quickly and we used it several times. The location and vibe is quiet, relaxing and peaceful. Suggestion for improvement would be to offer different pillow options but this is minor

We had a great family reunion at Ivy Cottage and made lots of lasting memories. The cottage was very comfortable and the welcome pack of milk, bread etc and goodies for our dog was very much appreciated. Only negative comment would be the kitchen is not well equipped, a few more mugs and glasses would be good to safe washing up or running the dishwasher twice a day! Good location with some nice pubs nearby. Would definitely recommend for a great family holiday.

Ivy cottage is set in a beautiful area with several other cottages but they are positioned so that you have privacy and are not overlooked by the other cottages. We had 2 dogs with us and the gardens are very secure so we didn't have to worry about them escaping.
The bedrooms all have ensuite and are all very well thought out
The hot tub is wood fired and did take a while to heat up but was lovley. You should be aware that it is not temperature controlled so can get very hot.
The surrounding area is beautiful with some lovely walks and pubs if you don't mind a long walk.

On arriving at Ivy cottage you are blown away by the location - it is in a beautiful quiet spot - the cottage on entry is very well laid out and welcoming - however on closer inspection it was a little tired in places, the couches need replacing very grubby and no support especially the large cream one, throws and pillows on same need chucking as not very hygienic
The whole cottage needs a good dusting on top of lights and areas shower heads etc. places that probably don’t need a regular dust but do need a good spring clean once in a while.
We had a heatwave on our week and would of loved sun brolly - we found two round back but were covered in dirt and spiders and needed replacing or cleaning before use - and maybe a couple of sunbeds

I only gave a 3 for value has it was expensive for April. However I think this was because of the Heating which was on 24hrs per day and the place was really warm.
The TV was a challenge.

We stayed at Ivy Cottage for 2 nights and honestly we couldn't fault it.
From the moment we got there we were blown away. The property was finished to such a high standard and was really clean.
There was even a welcome basket with treat waiting for us on arrival.
Even though there we other properties on the farm we weren't over looked and felt very private.
The gardens we well kept and the hot tub really made the stay.
The garden was also enclosed so we could let the dog run free.

This was our second stay and it did not dissapoint. The property is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, the beds and bedding are lovely. The kitchen has everything you could need and our Tesco delivery worked well.

We loved the barn with table football and ping pong. The river is very close though due to flooding we couldn't quite get to it this time.

Faringdon, only a few minutes away was lovely, especially the folly on the hill, Sadlers cafe and the craft emporium (lovely gifts etc, not crafting supplies). We also really enjoyed the White Horse (National Trust car park) and the village of Bampton where some of Downton Abbey was filmed.

But best of all was coming back to the hot tub! It did take quite a bit of heating but it was well worth it!

It's rare to find a self-catering cottage that ticks so many boxes. Comfy beds, luxury bed linen, powerful showers, underfloor heating, well-equipped kitchen and an amazing hot tub.
We enjoyed the hub and spent some time playing table tennis. Ivy cottage was a great base for exploring and hope to return.

The cottage itself is beautiful. Tastefully done and in great condition. The grounds are also pretty and it’s a nice walk (15 mins) down to the Thames and back.

Location was good. We loved the Riverside pub in Lechlade and the Swan down the road was a 20 min walk away. Highly recommend pop to the Cotswold Animal Park as a great day out!

Dog loved it, baby loved it, parents loved it xx

Cottage was brilliant from every aspect, could not fault it at all. There were mixed feelings with some of the family as to the location personally the wife and I enjoyed the peace and quiet. We have just returned from a wonderful week spent at Ivy Cottage. We travelled with our two dogs and can highly recommend as being dog friendly with a secure enclosed large garden. The cottage whilst in amongst other accommodation felt private and not overlooked. The property was well equipped though a few more towels and some robes for the hot tub would have been very welcome. We had a lovely time and will return.

We had a wonderful stay at Ivy Cottage. The property itself is beautiful with good size rooms and it is tastefully decorated throughout. It is also really well equipped including in the kitchen for those who want to cook.
The only slight issue was the amount of time the wood fired hot tub took to get warm - it required a lot of time and effort! But is a nice addition. Also as we had babies a bath would have been very helpful, but we realise that showers are often more to people’s taste.
Overall the house was perfect for our stay. We really enjoyed it.

A wonderful cottage with excellent amenities The hot tub was a real hit, only needed a couple of hours to heat up and then you are set for the weekend. Lovely log fire in the sitting room and excellent kitchen with seating for six, The bedrooms were very spacious and the beds extremely comfortable with excellent views. Caroline our contact at the cottage was excellent before and during the holiday. Would recommend the cottage very highly.

Perfect cottage for our break away with my elderly mother and our cocker spaniel. Comfortable, spacious and very well equipped with everything you might need during your stay. We loved the cottage location, very quiet with great amenities on site. The thoughtfulness of the small details were much appreciated from clingfilm and dishwasher tablets in the kitchen, to a special towel and nappy sacks for the baby. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed the barbecue and hot tub during our stay. The overall cleanliness and condition of the property were good. The local pubs and supermarket were excellent. Would recommend staying here.

We stayed at Ivy Cottage over the bank holiday weekend to celebrate my mum’s 60th birthday and it couldn’t have been more perfect!

The cottage is clean, cosy, spacious and well equipped - a home from home. It is also perfect for any doggy companions as the garden gives them a secure space to run around. The three double bedrooms each have their own separate en-suite.

The cottage is located a 5 minute drive from Farringdon where you will find a Tesco, Waitrose and Aldi plus various eateries and takeaways and it is only half an hour/ forty minute drive from various local attractions. I highly recommend visiting Bourton on Water.

The hot tub was a lovely treat and we were all very sad that we had to leave! I can’t recommend Ivy Cottage highly enough and I would like to thank the owners for a truly wonderful weekend - if you are reading this review, go ahead and book, you won’t regret it!

Just spent 4 nights hanging out and it's a great place to chill. Beautiful property that I couldn't fault. Very comfortable with big sofas, underfloor heating and of course the lovely log burner. Four toilets so great if you're with a group but it was just 3 of us and our dog. The garden is completely fenced and a lovely country aspect.
The hot tub is blissful but takes hours to get warm and you have to be comfortable starting fires and keeping on top of them as it's a balance to keep the temperature right and not too hot or not warm enough.
Initial logs are provided but then you need to purchase them for £20 cash only per wheelbarrow. Would be helpful if this information was left in the property as we had to research how to get more.
If you want walks from your door it's pretty limited so you'd need to be prepared to venture out in the car for more interest.
For us it was a pretty perfect break that we were looking for after some difficult times.

A wonderful stay at Ivy cottage. We were two couples and a single.
A beautifully decorated warm property. Only a few downsides. The dishwasher didn't work and had to wash up all week. The bedroom we stayed in above the lounge was beautiful but the bed was very uncomfortable and even springs poking through into my knees. This is the bed on the left as it's a zip together.
The shower head needs a very good clean as lots of the streams don't run downward when turned on and soaked you before you got in the shower and the floor.
The cottage could really benefit an end of season clean as cutlery draw was dirty all cupboards inside and lots of cobwebs. Even managed to get a spider on me in bed!
But I also know we have all had a busy season.
We were a bit disappointed the truck by the river wasn't there as we had planned a night by the pit fire in there. I'm not sure why it's shown on the pictures if it's not offered.
The cottages were really beautifully done and the total cost was very reasonable we all loved the apple trees also to cook with any that were left on the floor!
We would definitely come back.

The cottage is cosy and homely and well equipped with great indoor and outdoor space, which worked really well for us when travelling with dogs. The walks from the doorstep are amazing and the maps provided were appreciated, we did the 7 mile river loop twice in two days (quick pub stop on the way home!) and then had a very sleepy dog in front of the log burner! The properties are close to each other as described but you aren’t overlooked directly and we rarely saw the neighbours.
A minor detail - we would have liked the BBQ to have been available to use with our own charcoal (the booking site said charcoal would not be available after September but hoped the bbq itself would be) and ideally for the window cleaners/lawn mowing to be done on the changeover day rather than during our booking.
All in all it was a wonderful stay and we would love to visit again in the future.

Great location with the Thames a couple of minutes walk away and pretty countryside views. Comfortable cottage with all the amenities, everything was high spec.

Even though we arrived (and departed!) in the rain, we loved everything about Ivy Cottage (we did get sunshine in-between!). The large and fully-enclosed garden was perfect, and safe, for playing with the dog, and a riverside walk just steps away was an added bonus. The children loved the table-football too! The inside is so well laid-out and comfortable, and the bi-fold doors from the kitchen are a great feature but don't diminish the cottagey-feel. A lovely big kitchen with all amenities and a 'welcome basket' which included a bottle of wine was a great surprise! A small, but very welcome, feature for me was the radio :-) We highly recommend Ivy Cottage/Camden Farm to anyone looking for short or long term rental in the area - it was perfect for our needs. Thank you.

From the minute we arrived we loved everything about Ivy Cottage. The outside space is perfect for playing in the garden or sitting in the sun. Beautiful walks on our doorstep made for an adventurous lockdown! Inside this cottage is bigger than the photos make it look. 3 very comfortable bedrooms all with ensuites, spacious living room with plenty of seating for everyone, lovely big kitchen with all amenities. The host was very accomodating and easy to communicate which always makes staying somewhere that's not home better. We would not hesitate to stay again or recommend Ivy Cottage/Camden Farm to anyone looking for short or long term rental in the area. Thank you.

Our stay in the beautiful Cotswolds at Ivy Cottage was pure luxury! We stayed in autumn during October half term, so made the most of the cosy log fire and enjoyed delicious meals in the spacious kitchen (ideal for the dogs). The cottage had 3 fantastic sized rooms which were absolutely perfect for the 6 of us, all with an ensuite! We loved the attention to detail with the fleece blankets, underfloor heating of the gorgeous stone floors and our hamper of goodies on arrival.
We usually holiday abroad during October but with this pandemic, our stay at Ivy Cottage made for a great alternative! Thank you Caroline & James for such a perfect stay x

Stayed at the Ivy for one week. A lovely cottage on the border of Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds. Cottage was lovely and ideal for guests it’s dogs as there is immediate access to fields to allow the fur child’s to run free. Only negative is you are in close proximity to the other properties so privacy can be a little bit of an issue. Recent pictures on website do not show the placement of the Shephards Hut. Owners are growing new hedgerows which I’ll improve this in the future.

Apart from that, no faults with the cottage at all.

My family and I had a wonderful time in the Ivy Cottage. It felt like home from home - very comforting and cosy. Amazing setting and absolutely loved the kitchen with the bi-fold doors. I would love to stay in the Ivy Cottage again.

Ivy cottage is a lovely, quaint, cosy cottage on a farm. It is well furnished, very clean and a really nice space to chill with family and/or friends. There are plenty of walks and a local pub you can walk to over the fields. Burford is only a short drive away for shopping and coffee/lunch.

A fabulous safe location for all 7 grandchildren (6 months to 18 years) on our big family celebration, paddle boarding on the Thames and playing in the meadows. The cottages are well equipped and really comfortable. Excellent for small or large parties, winter or summer, and the 'party barn' is a bonus for special events!
Highly recommended.

Initially I stayed for 4 weeks and when I had the opportunity to spend an extra couple of weeks there I jumped at it. A lovely, comfortable barn conversion with a fabulous garden and views towards the Thames. Lovely outdoor seating area with the early morning sun which was perfect for my first coffee of the day. It was perfect for family and friends visiting and the dog loved it... In addition all the ‘locals’ were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Perfect.
