Stayed at Holly Tree Cottage in February and despite the weather the six of us and our dog had a great time. The cottage was as advertised, very comfortable and spacious enough for six. Made great use of the Hot Tub even in the cold damp weather. Great location for visiting Burford, Witney and Bourton on the Water and other Cotswold villages, enjoyed a muddy walk around the local countryside and a lovely Sunday Lunch at the Lamb and Flag, five minutes by car or a 10 minute walk across the countryside.
Great property in a great location with all creature comforts. Plenty of parking on site and in surrounding streets. Would definitely book again
Hi I really couldn’t fault the flat. It’s ideal for couples as there are two separate double bedrooms with their own ensuite. Beautifully furnished really lovely stay and in the middle of the High Street absolutely fabulous.
My friends and I enjoyed our stay at Tansie House. It's a great location for a stroll into the town and pubs, with plenty of room to chill.
Very beautiful laid out small annexe with everything you need. Quiet and peaceful great looking out into the fields with lots of pheasants and other birds to watch. Plenty of places to visit in close proximity and nice eating places which we enjoyed. Would definitely recommend as a great place to stay in the Cotswolds
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning cottage, and I can confidently say it exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beautiful interiors—everything was tastefully designed and felt incredibly inviting. The cottage catered to all our needs, with ample space for our family to relax and unwind. The garden was a perfect size, offering privacy and a serene atmosphere that made our time outdoors truly enjoyable. Despite being right in the center of the village, the location felt secluded and peaceful, allowing us to truly escape fr...more
We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at this cottage. It was perfect. We brought our 6 month old daughter and had everything we needed for her, cot and highchair. We had a lovely bath in the cold as well! The cottage was in a perfect location close by to a couple of pubs and great walks! The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. The property manager Stuart, was super lovely and helpful too! Couldn’t recommend highly enough!
We had a fantastic weekend and the house was brilliant - we will definitely be returning in the future
Spacious, cosy, well equipped, very clean property. Very comfortable and warm. Close to all shops, restaurants. Joe and Sheena very friendly and helpful. Great location for exploring Cotswolds.
Our stay in The Old School House was perfect for our weekend to reset to the time zone coming from Australia. It is a cosy space with a functional kitchen and comfortable bed. The property is well located in a quiet street around the corner from the centre of town and the parking space is very handy.
Our family had a lovely stay over the holidays. The host was friendly and accommodating and shared information about walking trails around the property which was great for us to be able to walk the humans and the dog. It was also fun to walk to the nature reserve to see the infamous cheese rolling hill. The home was very clean, warm and inviting and they even decorated for the holiday which was a pleasant surprise! We had plenty of space, the kitchen modern, with a good size refrigerator and was fully stocked with pots, pans, and baking dishes so we would prepare meals. The sleep...more
We had a wonderful few days staying at Fox Cottage. Mark and Jenny have created a beautiful and comfortable space. The local town of Charlbury has a number of lovely pubs and The Old Shed Cafe is a great breakfast spot which you can walk to.
We absolutely adored our time at Rex Cottage. It was the perfect size for our party of 5 (4 adults + a 16-month old) and had room comfortably for 2 more people if needed. The cottage itself was so cozy and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfy, the living room and fireplace couldn’t have been better for the cold evenings, and Willersey was a great base point to explore so many of the other Cotswold towns. Would definitely recommend having a car, it would be very difficult to get around without one. Andrea was incredible, so responsive before and throughout our ...more
The cottage is clean and spacious, good cooking facilities. We enjoyed the gas fires, although the one downstairs takes a little getting used to. Lovely clean bathroom. The area is great with two very nice pubs in the area. I recommend reading the guest book. The location is beautiful make sure you get out and explore.
Gardeners cottage was an ideal home from home for our family gathering. It surpassed our expectations and we would have no reservations in returning.
We had a great couple of nights stay in the shepherds hut. Justine made sure we had everything we’d need for our arrival (tea, milk and biscuits!) and suggested places for us to visit. So welcoming! The nights were cool outside but we were supper cosy with the log burner and a comfy bed!
We spent 2 night here early Feb. This property is stunning throughout. Very warm and cosy despite some very miserable and cold weather. All the bedrooms are beautifully decorated with high quality en suite bathrooms. The property is remote but that worked for us. We didn’t want to be in a town. Worked perfectly for our family of 7 adults, 1 infant and 2 dogs. Really don’t have any complaints or areas for improvement and we all agreed we will try and visit again.
The beautiful Stonelands cottage is situated in the perfect location just outside the jewel village of Burford in a secluded area. The cottage itself is very well maintained and has all what is needed including high end equipped kitchen, two cosy living rooms, very comfortable beds, and a lovely family design. The house boosted by a beautiful garden and plenty outdoor space to enjoy. Our family enjoyed staying at Stonelands, and would love to come back again.
We felt comfortable and at home in this beautiful cottage. It is well decorated, clean and quiet. The bed is very comfortable and the living room cosy to spend the evenings watching a movie or playing one of the board game at disposal. We had a wonderful relaxing time and would definitely come back if we visit the Cotswolds again.
Lovely stay, very cosy cottage, super well-equipped house, great location. We all enjoyed the stay..
We have just spent a lovely two weeks at Pinkney House. We have nothing to say really on how we things it could be improved. We love the location and being on Chipping Campden High street, we had our dogs with us and they were fine there. It's a shame there's not a call garden for them there, but we knew that when we booked and there are so many wonderful walks locally that it wasn't really a problem. Good sized bedrooms and nice en-suites / bathrooms. Big kitchen and some lovely ares within the house to chill and relax. There's plenty to do in Chipping Campden and lots of good restaurants...more
Very comfortable and convenient. Nice place on farm; pheasants and horses, and continual birdlife visible from the kitchen.
It was booked for a family holiday. We had a great time. Plenty of of space to spread out. Great walk into town.
we had trouble locating the rubbish bin.cottage nicely appointed with more than adequate kitchen equipment
Shakespeare Cottage is excellent in all ways. Clean and comfortable with everything you could want for the ideal stay. The owners and Sharon, the housekeeper, have thought of everything and utilised the space in the best possible way. It was great for four of us but might be a bit of a squeeze for six. Having said that, I would highly recommend this property. The location is perfect for all Stratford’s attractions.
Everything about our stay at Twigs was amazing. Coral was so helpful and friendly, even putting out a sign on the street on the evening of our arrival so we would know where to turn in. The kitchen has a full-sized side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, which was great for storing food for our 6 night stay. The welcome pack was very appreciated. Best water pressure we've ever had in the shower - absolutely amazing! Gorgeous gardens to sit out in the morning or evening, after touring around the Cotswolds. Evening dinners at the Bell Inn Langford were great. Can't say enough positive things ...more
Had a great time during our stay in the Cotswolds. The Shepherds hut was super cosy , great facilities and location, friendly and helpful staff and fantastic secure garden for the dog . The manager let us look at one of the other properties that would be a great place should we return with friends in the future .
A fantastic house centrally located within walking distance of shops, pubs and restaurants. The house was warm and cosy with everything we needed during our stay. Would definitely recommend.
We had an excellent time staying here. Loved the cottage the and found it very well equipped. It was even better in person than the photos on the website. Communication beforehand was excellent. It was perfect for our party size The only thing we could think of that was negative was that it would be nice to have some Christmas decorations and one of the sofas was a little bit hard
Super cosy little cottage. Perfect for two people and a (not huge) dog. Brilliantly located, minutes walk from a number of pubs and shops in town but on a really quiet road. Everything has been thought of; pre-made fireplace, instructions to do it yourself, shoe dryer, soft blankets, games and puzzles for the inside days, guides for walks, pubs, food etc on days out. Loved it.
Rabbit is a perfect place to stay whilst visiting the Cotswolds. The property has everything that you need to enjoy your stay. Quiet, comfortable and warm. Thank you Mark and Jenny for all your efforts to make our's and everyone else's holiday special. Highly recommended.
Such a lovely holiday cottage, with everything you could possibly need. Right in the middle of the Cotwolds and within easy walking distance into Stow. Perfect!
Our stay at Old Rectory exceeded our expectations in all areas. Beautiful property with very spacious living areas and bedrooms easily accommodating 14 people including 4 children and a dog. Although it was freezing outside (middle of January) the inside of the property was warm and comfortable in all rooms. Very comfortable beds and bathrooms equipped with all the essentials. Fabulous big kitchen and dining room again equipped with everything one would need to feed a small crowd. Welcome supplies of coffee, tea, milk etc supplied and much more. We definitely want to come back and experience...more
We had an enjoyable winter week in the Highgate cottage Moreton.. It was clean and very well equipped with everything we could want . All kitchen utensils were like new, very comfortable beds , lovely bathrooms and seating with rugs for extra comfort. The log burner was also great during the cold spell while there. Location is excellent, a gated property just off the town centre. Would thorough recommend it.
Really lovely place. Very clean and had everything we could need. It was very close to Cirencester it only takes around 15mins to walk over. The fireplace was lovely and they sell wood at the spar literally 30seconds walk up the street. Would come again :)
We booked Nursery End House with StayCotswold. Booking was very easy and they sent lots of useful information. Would definitely book with them again. Now for the house itself… Wow absolutely amazing. We booked for a 50th birthday and it was just perfect. So spacious with a lovely homely feeling. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Spoke to the management team once and again very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect for a break in the Cotswolds. The only downside to this house was having to leave at the end of our stay. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again. Thank you
Well equipped and comfortable property, worked very well for us for family get together. Extremely comfortable beds, high quality bed linen, generous utensils etc. Lounge a bit on small side for 6 but living kitchen huge.
Overall this is a lovely property in a great location. We wanted a quiet stay in a warm and inviting property and this certainly fulfilled the brief! We loved the log fire. If we had gone at a later date I’m sure we would have appreciated the large garden. A few small touches would make it more welcoming eg there was little or no hand soap in the bathroom but such small things didn’t spoil our stay.
Absolutely gorgeous cottage, warm, cosy, home from home. Everything from kitchen to bedroom immaculate
Thanks Steve, for a very comfortable stay. Great central location. Really appreciated the offer of an early checkin and the gorgeous Christmas tree that created such a festive welcome.
3 couples met up and all agreed that we had a fabulous stay at Owls Roost. Surburbly comfortable beds with beautiful bed linen. Warm on the coldest weekend of the year. Beautiful views over the fields. Quiet surroundings. Helpful hosts when needed and on arrival. Well equipped. What was not too love. 5
Our Grandson entered the property and said WOW, which basically summed up all of our family’s thoughts. Beautifully styled and maintained to a very high standard. The property caters for every need with sufficient space for everyone to chill out if necessary whilst also having a brilliant location for exploring both idilic Burford and the Cotswold’s in general.
Lovely spacious well maintained flat, with a very good bed. When we stayed the temperature outside was between -4 and +2 and because of this the supplied portable heaters were needed to assist the storage heaters to bring the temperature in the flat to a comfortable level. The setting/ location is superb, and having access to the beautiful gardens was a great bonus. Nice woodland views from the flat. There were laminated maps with local walks supplied and we were able to enjoy a couple of walks without having to drive from the flat. Overall, an excellent place for a relaxing time a...more
Our family had a lovely stay at Molls Yard. It is a great location to explore the Coltswald when renting a car. There are a few local pubs in the area we really enjoyed. The flat was well-equipped and very comfortable.
Overall a lovely clean cottage ideally placed in the centre of Stow. We found the downstairs cold and had trouble lighting the fire. We appreciate our stay coincided with a particularly cold spell of weather. We have open fires at home and are adept at fire lighting but it wouldn't get going even after buying our own kindling. We suspect that the logs weren't seasoned. Some minor points. The extractor in the bathroom doesn't work, one of the dining chairs is unstable and a mirror in the double bedroom would be useful
Beautiful little cottage in the heart of Tetbury, the cottage has everything you could want home from home. The beds are so comfortable and warm, Exactly as described and pictured, Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side but this made us do things we may not have done in the dry, we went on a tour of the spire of St Mary’s church and had a turn of bell ringing, that was amazing! Visited nearby high grove, the residence of King Charles, also visited some of the filming locations of Rivals We would definitely rebook this cottage, Thank you Frances for thinking of everything! Just right for what we needed. Cottage had everything. No complaints whatsoever. Hope to return again.
This property was ideal for a week's stay with our border collie. We've stayed in various properties throughout the Cotswolds for many years, and this one was definitely the best, with comfortable furniture and modern kitchen appliances. The large area of grass round the property, and the easy access to a local footpath, meant exercising the dog and ourselves was very straighforward. Being able to park the car right outside the door made loading and unloading easy.
stylish apartment , minutes away from main high street with lots of coffee shops, restaurants and shops. Comfortable bedrooms. Enjoyed sitting out on sunny terrace.
Knoll Cottage was just perfect, we walked into the cottage and just felt instantly relaxed & at home. It had everything you wood need. It was clean warm, the bed was so comfortable . Great spot to the local pub The Crown 18 steps from the cottage. Would definitely return and stay again
Another lovely stay in The Smithy - clean, comfortable & cosy. Lovely meal in Alberto's & great Sunday roast in The Blue Boar. Couple of very nice independent shops for gifts, jewellery or to treat oneself. We'll be back.
This cottage absolutely lived up to the hype and was just like the pictures. Self check-in was easy. Allison was a lovely host with good communication. The whole place was so charming, I was so happy to be there. I was obsessed with the wood fireplace and the spa pool. The cakes and bread on arrival added a wonderful homely touch and made us feel very welcome. The Christmas tree made our stay feel extra festive. I felt like Kate Winslet in The Holiday. I only wish we had discovered the parking permit for the car before paying for parking elsewhere. We stayed at the cottage 4 nights but it simp...more
Gislebertus House is a delightful spacious, well-decorated and well equipped apartment right in the middle of the lovely town of Stow. Although within easy walking reach of all shops and restaurants it is tucked away in a quiet courtyard, so makes for a very peaceful stay. There were just two of us in the apartment, but the second bedroom was also a good size, and would have easily accommodated a second couple. With oak panelling, interesting pictures and a log burner (bioethanol fired) it is full of character and a lovely place to curl up on the comfy sofas in the evening after a long day o...more
We enjoyed our stay in Chapel House which is located in a lovely village with a Co-Op, Bakers and plenty of pubs. The house is 30 min drive to some of the lovely Cotswolds villages which we really enjoyed. We also had some nice walks around the outskirts of the village. The only real issue we had with the premises was the heating. We were unable to adjust the under floor heating and it became unbearably hot in the evenings.
Walltree House is a beautiful house to host a family get together in. 4 well appointed bedrooms and several rooms to be together or to do different things in. The kitchen/diner/sitting space is well designed for large groups to chat/cook and eat in. There is also a more formal dining space, a cosy bar and conservatory for quieter times as well as ample grounds to explore. Our family, comprising 3 generations, had a wonderful and memorable stay. Thank you
We could not have asked for a more pleasant cottage to stay in. It was cosy and comfortable in a lovely little village with plenty of walks close by. Also within easy reach of other Cotswold villages and to my wife and daughter’s delight Bicester village. As our dog has recently gone blind the garden was ideal for her to stumble around without fear of injury, whilst we sat with a glass of wine. Shop across the road was well stocked and pub two minutes away served good beer and food. Only ten minute walk to Hook Norton Brewery, can recommend the tour and breakfast. We would definitely recommend...more
We loved the set up with the open plan living room. Well stocked with kitchen stuff. Lovely pub close by.
This was our second stay at Ridge Barn and we had another wonderful weekend. Location is perfect for exploring surrounding areas, and house comfortably had enough room for 6 adults 3 kids and 2 dogs! Everything you could need is provided and the house is clean, comfortable and just a real home from home. We look forward to returning next year!
Thank you for a great long weekend at The Old Post Office. We were a group of 7 family members enjoying a weekend together. The accommodation was spacious and immaculate. It had everything we needed. The location was peaceful with a lovely local shop/cafe and pub where we enjoyed a tasty roast. We enjoyed walks in Ilmington, Broadway to the tower, Chipping Campden and Moreton in Marsh. I would highly recommend The Old Post Office if you are looking for a lovely place to stay.
Absolutely loved our stay. Everything was perfect. Fantastic cottage and was a fantastic Christmas. Only down side was the smell from the toilet downstairs but owner had this attended to and unfortunately the smell had not gone away by the time we left. Would highly recommend staying here.
Puddleduck House was nicely decorated and everything well presented. The property was perfect for a family weekend together to celebrate a 21st birthday. It was in a good location to explore the local area and easy to walk into Bourton on the Water. A morning dip in the hot tub was very therapeutic. Our checkout time on the Sunday was extended to 12 noon, thank you. This allowed us to have a relaxing morning before heading home. We would definitely like to return at some point to further explore this beautiful area in the Cotswolds.
I stayed here with my family over the Christmas holidays 2024, Beautiful open fire , spacious bedrooms & a gorgeous kitchen . Very cosy & comfortable. Stunning place to stay & very central to lots of local places to visit . We visited Blenheim palace & it is well worth a visit .
Heather was so helpful. The place is immaculate. My whole family loved it so much we came back again. Hope to return next year.
A lovely place to stay in the centre of Tetbury with friends and family. House is great and has a bit of outside space.
We really loved our stay. The cottage was gorgeous and perfect for 6 people. The kitchen had everything you should need. The village itself was perfect - The Tite Inn is a great place for a drink, and the staff are really friendly. The Chadlington Quality Foods deli is just a minute's walk away, and is perfect for morning pastries, bacon from the butchers, and quality ready meals if you want to avoid cooking. We ordered pizza from the coffee shop opposite the cottage on Saturday night, it was fantastic. Note - book your slot during the day as it gets booked up. Chadlington as a location is per...more
The pictures do not do Cross Keys cottage justice. The place is stunning! If you’re looking for a comfortable retreat for a large family or group, I could not recommend it highly enough. The location is also perfect, right in the middle of one of the prettiest towns in the Cotswolds, surrounded by walks, pubs, shops and so much more. We had the perfect long weekend away.
Wonderful stay over Christmas for family of 7 plus pooch. The barns were warm, comfortable, clean, spacious. We felt immediately at home with very comfy beds, excellent en-suites, lovely wood burner, great laundry and pantry. The barns were ideal for hosting a group, with great space to gather together, especially the round table for Christmas dinner. The little barn even has its own den for kids/teenagers. There are lots of riverside walks, including to the local pub and the games barn (table tennis and table football) was good fun. No issue with other barns nearby. The owners were very helpf...more
We had a lovely stay in this beautiful cottage in the (close to the) centre area. Well and fully furnished. All needed was available. Good beds and sanitary facilities.
Everything about our stay at the Tew Farmhouse for a special family birthday was perfect. The Farmhouse was immaculate and more than surpassed our expectations. It easily accommodated our family of 15, including young children and three dogs. The farmhouse was finished to a very high standard and supplied everything that was needed on a day to day basis. The arrival and departure were very smooth and we particularly liked the freedom of arriving and being left alone to settle in. Contact numbers were available if any help or assistance were required. Great location 2 minutes walk to a great pub which does good value food. 15 minutes walk into Burford which great shopping and cafes. The Reading Room is super comfortable, nicely decorated and is very well equipped. The owners are across the courtyard and checked on us once to introduce them selves. Off road designated parking spot which was ample for our large car. There are some great circular walks from the property. Many interesting places to visit within 10-20 min drive including Clarkson’s Farm Shop and Pub.
Family of 5 staying for a wedding Had everything we needed and was a lovely stay Only recommendations are a visitor guide book with all instructions for appliances and where things are in the cottage and any advice or recommendations for the area. Also some UHT milk or creamer would have been welcomed for a cuppa after a long drive. Otherwise all was great and would stay here again. Thank you
I really appreciated the space and quietness of this property. Located at the bottom of a cul-de-sac with many country walks literally on the doorstep. It is a great base for the beautiful surrounding area. The property itself offers what you might need when you stay. The Kitchen is fully equipped including washing machine and dishwasher. The shower is really good, there is comfortable bed(s) and the large garden is a lovely asset. I will also add that I feel the property would be good for people with disabilities (there is a small threshold to step over to access the property.
We had a lovely long weekend at Fury Barn. The cottage was the perfect size for 3 generations to enjoy the Cotswolds. We had everything we needed in the cottage and even cooked a roast dinner. There were lots of fun things to do for little ones within a half an hour drive so we were very busy!
Keeley Cottage, is in a great location. Very clean, comfortable and cosy. The kitchen had everything you could want or wish for. We had a fabulous time and will certainly book again. Thank you.
Vine Cottage was a fantastic place to stay during our trip to the Cotswolds. Excellent location close to brilliant walks, lovely pubs and local attractions like Diddly Squat Farm. The cottage was superbly equipped, very clean and the addition of a hot tub was a great feature. Already planning to come back!
This was our second stay at The Old Dairy and yet again it really didn’t disappoint. It’s in a fantastic location, quintessential Cotswold village, very good walks from your doorstep plus so many places to visit not far away. The Old Dairy is so well equipped with a very lovely enclosed garden and very safe for a little dog too! I’m very sure that we will be returning yet again!!
We loved this property. It was very smart, well decorated and in a great location. We loved the kitchen which was well equipped and had a good flow. The heating system was spot on and felt very comfortable. The separation of 2 houses in one was very clever. Although the lounge area was spacious, it probably needed more seating for 10 people. I would highly recommend this house. Very lovely.
What a wonderful setting to stay in, our dog loved it as the garden is fully enclosed so we could let her out and explore the garden. The shepherds hut had everything you would need for a holiday. A microwave, hob and all the utensils and condiments you would need. We got there and it had a bottle of wine, tea, coffee and some milk. The wildlife was amazing, hares, owls, rabbits. The list goes on. A picnic area at the side of the Thames was a great spot to watch the boats go bye. Overall a wonderful stay in Vespers!!!
My daughter and I stayed here for a birthday treat and it is a fabulous property, right in the centre of Stow. Everything you could possibly want is on your doorstep and also close to other villages and attractions. Very spacious and comfortable property, and it also felt very secure being in the enclosed courtyard overnight. Great communication from StayCotswold. We will definitely book again!
I booked Fosseside House to get the family together to celebrate my wife’s 70th birthday and we had a great time in this excellent property. The property is very well positioned, excellently presented and maintained and in a great location within 5 - 10 minutes walk from the centre of Bourton on the Water. As we arrived in the dark our only issue was locating the property initially but we quickly resolved that and would very definitely go back to the property in the future
Perfect for the short course we were running. Comfortable accommodation, great space and good kitchen that allowed sharing of learning over supper. Could not have been better.
Excellent in every way, perfect location for a village stay, everything we needed was provided, everything worked and was clean.
We very much enjoyed our holiday n the Shepherds Hut. It it beautifully fitted inside. We hope to stay again. The only downside was the tiny fridge, which for us could have done with being larger.
Had a fantastic stay, became poorly while there, but local surgery were amazing. The house was huge for two of us, but we had four nights in front of the beautiful log burner. The manager dealt with a request very quickly and we had a wonderful stay. Everything on your doorstep, yet quietly tucked away, we will return again.
Macs Leap was beautiful. It had everything we needed. The rooms were bigger than I expected and the beds were really comfortable. We stayed here to visit most of the cotswolds which made it the perfect place to stay.
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage. The views are absolutely stunning—such a lovely sight to wake up to each morning. We were fortunate to have some good weather too, which made them even better! The cottage itself is spacious and well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The off-road parking is a great bonus, and the location is ideal for exploring the Cotswolds. Banbury is just a 20-minute drive away, for supermarkets and shopping. Overall, a perfect getaway accommodation—highly recommended!
We stayed recently for a weekend birthday celebration. The house was truly beautiful and all communication from the agency and owners was excellent. I would highly recommend.
I booked Fuchsia Cottage to celebrate my birthday, on arrival the cottage was immaculately presented and the whole of the cottage is furnished to a high standard, it comfortably accommodated 4 adult guests, the garden area off the kitchen was perfect for our dog and is very secure. I own an award winning self catering business myself in Ironbridge, Shropshire, so it was lovely to be the guest for a change and I really appreciated the effort the owner has put in to make this a home from home for their guests. The Hare is just a short walk along the High Street and was very welcoming and the foo...more
We had a fabulous few days in this lovely property. Great location in the village of Blockley. A very cosy, comfortable stay and we loved the attention to detail in all the rooms. Everything you need for the kitchen, and beautifully laid out. One recommendation would be a mirror above the table in main bedroom (mainly for the using of the hair dryer.) We made great use of the log burner and our little pooch enjoyed laying in front of it after long walks. We would definitely come back and recommend this property to family and friends.
We were here for 3 nights for my wife’s birthday. It is beautifully decorated and well equipped although we only used the kettle! It is so close to great places to eat but still fairly quiet. The hot tub is really big and we used it twice a day. Absolute bliss. We slept well in a very comfy bed and used the log burner every night. We took our smallest car which easily went in the garage. A few minor niggles though. There was no milk in the fridge for a cuppa and no firelighters and a tiny amount of kindling. Tesco express was shut for improvements for 2 days so we had to drive to Coop - not ...more
Folly view was the perfect house for my party of 10, the bedrooms were lovely clean and warm with beautiful decor. The welcome package was a lovely surprise. The kitchen was very well stocked with crockery and cutlery, pots and pans etc. Would definitely recommend this company and accommodation and looking to book another weekend away at Folly View in the summer .
Found Website to be very easy to assess all the homes available throughout the area. The central staff were very responsive. I couldn't get in touch with the property manager beforehand. And the instructions to open the door were not complete. We couldn't get into the house without instructions. More foodstuffs should have been provided in kitchen for at least one breakfast with snacks at the price we paid. We ran out of firewood before the end of the second evening. We booked 2 nights. The bed in the Master was very comfortable as was the temperature throughout the property.
Great house and location ideal for a family get together. Comfortable and warm parking was ok by using the public car park nearby. Local bakery is excellent and supplies your milk!
Beautiful accommodation as described in the marketing. Wood fired hot tub and the use of the paddle boards made our stay perfect! Perhaps the only comments from the guests were that it would have been nice to have a shower downstairs to shower off before/after the hot tub and paddle boarding but this was not a problem as all bedrooms had an en-suite which were lovely.
Despite Storm Bert best efforts to disrupt our stay in the Cotswolds he did not win!! With advanced warning of the weather we stocked up with all the essential. We hunkered down with a nice bottle or 2 and a log fire what more did we want!! It was a very nice family get together. Would recommend.
A good base to tour the Cotswolds. Very well equipped with parking space. I have nothing more to say just making up the number of letters.
The Hayloft was clean and cozy and a perfect spot to stay in while we visited friends in Cold Aston. (Bonus walking distance!)
I cannot recommend Masters House more highly. We had a fantastic stay and would return in a heartbeat. The cottage is centrally located in Stow on the Wold, making it an ideal jumping off point for exploring the Cotswolds. It is spacious, extremely clean and very comfortable. Kevin was a great point of contact and was keen to accommodate us in every way. Truly a special holiday. Thank you.
I recently stayed in a lovely cottage in Bourton-on-the-Water, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The cottage's location was perfect—extremely close to the village center, which meant I didn’t need to use my car at all during my stay. The village itself is stunning, with its charming stone bridges spanning the tranquil river that flows through the heart of the town. The center was bustling but never overwhelming, offering a great selection of pubs and eateries that served delicious food at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere of Bourton-on-the-Water is magical, and it tr...more
We were delighted by the cleanliness and condition of the Barns. We rented all of them (other than there was no access code for Pony) other than through the Barn. The Hub and Bathroom were well stocked with glasses and kitchen utilities were ample for our purposes. We had a reception on the lawn for all our guests plus the Brides family on the Friday which worked well. The bed in the Main Barn above the kitchen is terribly hard because the mattress is far too thin /worn for the quality of accommodation. I didnt try the others.
We had a wonderful stay at Pear Tree over the Christmas break. There were enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. 3 of the bedrooms have en suites which was a bonus. We loved the location - a great base for walks and close to a fun pub for lunch or dinner. We did not get to enjoy the fabulous back yard as it was cold and wet but can imagine how wonderful it would be in the Spring/Summer. The kitchen is well equipped and the property manager was very responsive to all our asks.
Six family members stayed for a long weekend, and we were each wowed by the impressive quality of fixtures and fittings, beautiful decor, and spacious accommodation. We loved our stay, from the warm welcome on arrival (lamps and heating already switched on, and soft music playing throughout… lovely!), to the walk around the corner to the lovely village pub one evening (log fires, friendly staff and excellent food). Just a couple of tiny additions would have made it even more perfect… an extra armchair in the lounge (the settee realistically only seats four comfortably), and a washing up spon...more
Lovely cottage and location in the heart of the Cotswolds. Big kitchen and lovely cosy lounging areas. Local pub nearby offering delicious food and allows dogs and children in the restaurant. Have booked again for next year so would highly recommend.
We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Glen in Ilmington. Lovely, spacious, well appointed and the open fireplace was greatly enjoyed. Plan to book again for a girls trip later this year. Thank you for having us!
Everything was perfectly arranged and ideal for 6 adults and a dog. We appreciated the welcome basket and additional provisions, such as coffee, tea, sugars etc. This saved us the expense, particularly helpful for a short stay. Provisions for the dog was also a very nice touch. Good people and a very comfortable stay.
Beautiful cottage in a great location with lots of shops pubs and restaurants close by. We had a wonderful weekend and hope to return soon .
We arrived at the cottage on a very cold winter's night to no heating on whatsoever, and only one small log in the 'starter pack'. To say the cottage was cold was an understatement, it was positively baltic. However, once we bought some logs to get the fire going and put the heating on, it wasn't long before the cottage was warm and cosy. It was our 3rd visit to Honeysuckle Cottage, and even though it is a small property it has everything you need there and is a very comfortable space. It is very clean and well maintained with good quality furnishings. The location is great, extremely qui...more
A lovely quiet place to stay with lots to do. Stow has all the amenities you need with a fantastic range of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Trinity was a lovely place to stay. Clean, tidy and functional. I would definitely stay here again if and when we return.
This was the perfect house for to have our annual girls school reunion. This is our 7th year of doing this type of weekend and The Manor House was by far the best accommodation we have had. Very comfortable, spacious and perfect for what we wanted from the weekend. We felt completely private with our own gated entrance and private garden and the hot tub was great, a must for our weekend. Very well equipped and had everything we needed. Location was great in terms of walking options and access to the many lovely areas the Cotswolds offer but slightly disappointed the local pub wasn't o...more
The cottage was as described, ‘ A typical Cotswolds Chocolate Box cottage’ in a great peaceful location. Warm, well equipped and just lovely. The living space was comfortable and characterful. Perhaps a Bluetooth speaker in the snug would be a useful addition, as this is a great room to relax in after a days walking. As walkers we new the area well but again some walking maps etc would be helpful for visitors. Thank you for a lovely stay, we walked, cooked( well equipped kitchen) went out to eat in kingham and spent a day out on the train in Oxford. We will be back. A great week, thank you.
Recently 7 of us spent 4 days at "The Farmhouse" to celebrate a "round" birthday. It is a lovely spacious house with plenty of room to spead out in. The kitchen / dining room has all the amenities - there are a good selection of quality wine glasses etc so you dont have to bring your own and loads of cutlery / plates etc. The mudroom / utility room with its own entrance is brilliant for the Winter. Bedrooms are spacious and well appointed. Neil is a gracious and attentive host without being intrusive in any way. The welcome pack is very generous and another lovely gift was provided for ...more
The location of the flat in the village of Winchcombe is ideal for trips into the Cotswold. The flat was only superficially clean. The kitchen is well equipped. There were enough towels in the bathroom. There was a lack of tea towels. You have to come to terms with the steep staircase to the upper floor, the steps are very high and narrow.
Fabulous 3 king bedroom property with en-suites in all rooms made for a perfect stay for 3 couples. Great living space and large kitchen. Great cosy escape for winter with the log burner and great heating, but we can imagine the garden being great for summer use. Big house, car parking for one but plenty of space at the front for more cars. Excellent location for the Cotswolds exploring. Highly recommend this house to stay in and we will be back for sure! Only recommendation is some more mirrors and more than one (better quality) hair dryer. Thank you for the milk and biscuits!
Perry Cottage was even nicer than the photos. It was warm, cosy and comfortable, we enjoyed using the log burner. The garden was lovely, with a rural outlook,we can imagine how lovely it would be relaxing there in the warmer months. Plenty of wonderful walks locally.
We had a wonderful family holiday in Abbots Cottage, with our 2 small children (aged 5 and 2). The cottage is even more beautiful than the photos and felt warm and cosy. We would love to come back. As a suggestion we would like to suggest perhaps installing a coffee maker, we missed that a bit. For the rest everything was fine!
Photographs didn't do it justice. Amazing house with everything we needed. Very comfortable bed too.
We had a fabulous stay at Blenheim Cottage - it is clean, comfortable, well-appointed and beautifully presented. Although it has 2 bedrooms, we found the space ideal for two of us and thought it might feel rather cramped with four. The outside space is charming (note, there are some steep steps and hazards for children), but, again, not spacious and with no seating for lounging. There is no permit to park on the street outside the house (restricted between 6pm and 8am), but there is detailed information inside the cottage on parking options. We were lucky to find a space on the street a few mi...more
Prince Barn in the Goodlake Barn complex was a wonderful place to stay on the outskirts of the Cotswolds. It was within an hours drive of all of the key towns within the Cotswolds. The barn conversion has been done very tastefully with lovely furnishings within the "barn". A very comfortable place to stay for an extended period.
Stayed with whole family so glad to have somewhere that could accommodate us all. Unfortunately we did not receive email until we had left which was a shame as we did not need to take tea towels etc. Location of barn fantastic for exploring the Cotswolds. Love the unique touches ie Boule. Would recommend to anyone.
We got sent a text message from StayCotswolds with a link to what three words to navigate to the property. Not being local, I simply clicked the link and followed it, sadly it took me to the middle of Oxford at rush hour, I had 2 young children in the car which was very difficult. I then navigated myself to the property postcode and it was another hour driving. What should have been a 20 minute journey from Burton on the water turned into 2 hours. This was a very bad start to our stay. I contacted Stay Cotswolds who were pretty dismissive saying it was what three words issue and not theirs, ev...more
The cottage is set on a farm with a couple of other rentals adjoining. A car is pretty much essential as there are no shops nearby. There is pub within walking distance along the Thames path which is very nice but given the waterlogged fields, not possible in our stay. No footpaths along the main fast road so no go there. Plenty of lovely villages in the area. The cottage itself is well maintained and comfortable. The underfloorheating was great and the rooms were all decorated and furnished to a good standard. Thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack and even a Xmas tree made us feel welc...more
We stayed for a month in Manor Farm cottage and could not have been happier. The location was perfect for us, a tiny hamlet, that was so peaceful but only a few minutes drive to the nearest town. The cottage was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. Unfortunately it was too cold for us to enjoy the outdoor space but it was lovely and would be wonderful to enjoy in good weather. Staycotswolds were responsive hosts and I have only good things to say about them. We had an absolutely wonderful stay and would definitely love to return.
On arrival we were struck by the way the original cottage had been renovated and modernised to such a high standard. The fixtures and fittings throughout were all of a very good quality. The heating system worked very well but we found it rather noisy but it was very simple to control so we could turn it off to allow us to sleep. The kitchen appliances were modern and good brands but we were unable to get the lower oven to work and there were no instructions provided. Although it didn't affect the enjoyment of our Cotswolds break we felt that it would have benefitted from a thorough spring cle...more
Firstly, Stay Cotswolds customer service communication is excellent. They provide all the information you need and in a timely manner. The accommodation is more than adequate, however the kitchen work surface space is very limited indeed, so if you are planning to do a lot of cooking you need to bare that in mind. Most kitchen equipment was provided, except for vegetable peeler and vegetable knives which provided very frustrating. Unfortunately, the sitting room windows were filthy and especially when the sun shone through you could not see out. Very disappointing when you are there for Xmas...more
The cottage was very welcoming & cosy, perfectly located to experience the village & local sites. A home from home. The owners were lovely and it was reassuring to have their details, they clearly care about service and care for guests staying at North House. Had a beautiful family trip where we explored, bonded, reconnected with nature and discovered a whole new area. We will definitely be back for more.
The property is very tastefully appointed and in a lovely village. Everything that we needed was in the house and a nice touch was essential groceries etc. It was secure for our dog once the gate was closed. A great base to explore the Cotswolds areas with nice pubs within a short drive. Stay Cotswolds were very friendly and efficient.
We stayed for a week during January. The Barn was modern, well finished and the underfloor heating throughout the property was fantastic as our stay was during a very cold week. We've stayed in Churchill before and it's a lovely village, and would highly recommend to anyone.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is in a beautiful location close to lots of places to visit. Wonderful cottage and very cosy, welcoming pack was much appreciated.
Perfect location, very comfortable, clean and warm apartment with lovely interesting decor. Even parking was easy.
Just had to provide a review as my extended family and I (5 adults, 4 kids) just stayed at the Courthouse to celebrate a wonderful Christmas. Property was perfectly placed (steps from great pub) in small town with kids parks and rambling pathways, and really close to motorway access to lots of attractions. Property was really well furnished, super cosy yet lots of space, and the host was unbelievably attentive and proactive in answering or resolving any question / ask we had. And of course the pool was amazing for tiring out the younger kids.
Beautiful cottage. Perfect location for our needs. With everything we needed. Within easy reach of many cotswold attractions and even the coast
We had a wonderful stay at Lower Barn. Instructions for finding it & parking were clear and helpful. Great communication from the maintenance team to let us know it was ready and a nice surprise to have a later checkout on Sunday! Gorgeous cottage, it was lovely & warm inside which was a welcome respite from the -5 frost! Beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a weekend. The beds were also really comfortable! Perfect location for exploring Chipping Norton and surrounding areas - lots of supermarkets close by and we had a great meal at the Blue Boar pub a 2 minute walk away. Wo...more
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage. The house was clean and welcoming. Only difficulty we had was trying to get in. The lock was extremely stiff and it felt like we were going to snap off the key it was that difficult to turn. We found some WD40 in the garage and used that which helped. From then on we didn’t use that lock. Would recommend this cottage for a quiet countryside stay.
We stayed last year for our wedding week and found the house to be perfect! We were too busy with family to spend much time at the property so returned for our wedding anniversary. Absolutely perfect, and even better than we remembered! Very nice property, everything we needed for cooking, appreciated the treats left on check-in, comfy and cosy, love the mezannine!
Had a great few days, brilliant location, loads to see and do locally, the accommodation was perfect, just right for a small family with great facilities.
We had the best time the cottage was amazing , if we had to be really picky I’d say a downstairs loo would of been great and also a tv in the main lounge as we found where the tvs were there wasn’t enough seating for us all , but other than that we had a fab stay and would highly recommend x
Great house for 4 couples for the weekend. Many lovely pubs close by witb open fires and a warm welcome. Quiet location, with fabulous open plan kitchen/dining/sitting area perfect for slow mornings.
We loved the modern decor, the warmth on arrival, comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen and Welcome Pack. Some small touches would help- a clean oven, vaccumed under mats and appliance instructions.
The Bakehouse is perfectly located on the hill of Burford. With three double rooms 6 adults were comfortably accomodated. A separate dinning room off the kitchen also allowed us to enjoy breakfast around a table with the separate lounge and fire a great retreat at the end of the day. This is a period property, so for those over 6 foot like myself there are a few beams and door ways to duck through including a narrow twisting staircase. However it does add to the charm.
We had a great time in the Forge in upper oddington ! It is an amazing location, and the Forge is just beautiful little cottage with lots of character! Beds are so comfortable and the whole time we felt so relaxed! There was few things which do need an improvement like the taps in the shower were leaking the whole time and the sink tap in the kitchen too. I scored 4 for cleanliness due to few cobwebs on the walls, but it was very clean. For the amount of money I would provide logs for the log burner , as when you come in colder months and the weather is not great you want to relax by the log ...more
The cottage is very beautiful and has been styled perfectly. The positives of the cottage were its location. The layout was very comfortable and very clean. Plenty of room for our family to stay for a weekend. The negatives were that the heating was unreliable (which wasn’t ideal when travelling with a young baby), the temperature would drop dramatically as times and the only solution was to reboot the boiler (not ideal at 2am!) the oven initially took quite some time to heat up, so when trying to cook dinner on our first night caused unnecessary delay. There are a lot of steps up to the cotta...more
Booking and arrival were all straightforward and the cottage has a welcoming feel. The garden had lovely views across the surrounding countryside and provided a practical space for a dog, although an active dog could get out via the decked area so it is not totally secure. The cottage is beautifully and tastefully decorated throughout, the beds are very comfortable and all furnishings and equipment is of top quality. We visited in a rather cold week so would have appreciated a few more than the 4 logs provided. More can be bought from the village Coop (at a cost of £11 per bag in Feb 2025), bu...more
We stayed in Bea’s Cottage for a few days in November whilst visiting family in Cirencester, which is only 8 min drive away. We travelled with our two little children and got there in the dark, but the property manager had left the light on for us and the heating was on so it made for a really nice welcome. Darren, the property manager, was great throughout and communicated with us well. Even gave us a bit more time on the last day as he knew we needed to pack everything up with the kids! Beautiful cottage, very characterful and cosy! Lots of low ceilings and the stairs are a bit tricky wit...more
Lovely clean comfortable cottage with everything you need. Location good for walking and going into Stow
My partner, our dogs and I stayed in this lovely cottage to welcome in 2025 and very much enjoyed our stay. It is centrally located in Chipping Norton, has a lovely (and huge!) back garden and a wonderful wood burning stove to enjoy a cozy night in front of the fire. It’s within walking distance of two grocery stores, a great pub (the Fox) and a wonderful independent coffee shop. The hosts were very communicative and warm and I would stay here again!
spacious for 4 guests with fully furnished interiors. 20 minutes drive to Cotsworld animal farm. Host is accommodating
I booked this house to celebrate a family birthday and we had ten people ranging in age from 1 year to 70 years It fitted our criteria very well with plenty of room for everyone. Nice walk into Bourton with plenty to occupy the children We had an issue with the front door on arrival as it didn't close properly but it was dealt with within 30 minutes, thank you Eileen and her husband After that, no problems at all, lovely welcome pack and very comfortable
Stayed as a family to celebrate a 75th birthday. A lovely house with plenty of space, clean and well furnished. Feels like a real home with two cosy living areas. Excellent location for trips to other areas of the Cotswolds. Pub opposite is well worth a visit, very welcoming with good pub grub. Parking is tight as called out in the info but is ok for mid sized cars and plenty of space in the lay-by opposite
Strange damp smell in living/dining room. Not enough space for 4 people to comfortably watch TV. Boiler in twin room very close to the bed head! and makes humming sound at 4 00am and 5am disturbing sleep. No hooks for coats etc. Soap holder needed in shower in twin room. Unable to close bathroom door in double bedroom.
Orchard Cottage was as clean, comfortable and warm as we remembered from our first stay. Both visits were a cold week in January. Although you are told there may be noise from the horses, they are very quiet and did not disturb us at all.
Upper Barn is a beautiful property in an excellent location just off Chipping Norton high street. The Barn is excellently presented and was a cosy stay for a weekend with friends. There are a couple of improvements areas - the toilet seat in the main bathroom was broken and the shower seal was coming loose which meant water was seeping on to the floor. The hairdryer provided was also faulty. The kitchen was faultless though - fully equipped and some lovely additions of local butter, crumpets and milk was nice. Beds and sofas were also very comfy.
Excellent accommodation, very welcoming and easy access highly recommend to his place Nice touch of adding a Christmas tree in the barn for the couple of weeks before Christmas
Other review comments about poor internet (probably the whole village :(, the sitting room low uncomfortable sofas as well as the poor quality lumpy mattress in the 1st bedroom off the kitchen are agreed by our group as well. None of these issues (you might say) should be part of expensive holiday accommodation in 2024 - 2025 and could be addressed. One other issue hygienically wise was the cracked basin in the ensuite upstairs and the shower there needs are really good mould clean. Ambivalent about recommending cottage but will do so but the above feedback needs addressing.... How...more
We had a lovely long weekend stay at The Old Brewery house. The location and setting were both perfect. The house was lovely and warn day and night, used the log burner which gave out a warming glow. The Arga in the kitchen worked well which warmed the house up too. We did some lovely walks from the house. A circular walk to Longborough which has a nice pub and great Sunday roast, walked back via Donnington. Andy at the brewery was worth his weight in gold in helping us sort out a car breakdown. Thanks again Andy for your help and local knowledge, hope to return.
An ideal location for a reunion of five couples. Good walking with various pubs to visit. One or two minor issues such as lights above bathroom mirrors did not seem to work and the kitchen mixer tap was missing a hot water lever. Bedrooms very comfortable.
The house was warm and inviting on arrival which is always important to me. The beds and sofas were comfortable and the house had everything you needed from kitchen equipment to several toilet rolls! The village is beautiful and the locals very friendly. Lots of alleyways to walk down to find interesting paths without going too far from the house. The Red Lion was wonderful for a Sunday roast. They had live entertainment in the pub and lots of locals attended. It was great. We will be back.
We just loved every minute staying in Ivycroft cottage .It was so spacious and comfortable .I especially loved the conservatory in the afternoon .Our toddler grandson loved the horses’ daily visit at the wall and he hasn’t stopped talking about them ever since The cottage is well located for trips to other villages and not too far for those essentials . One special trip was to Sudeley castle Spectacle of light .Magic! We would love to stay there again ……..
A cute little cottage which is a great base, close to cafes, restaurants, shops and pubs. Plenty of lovely walks to enjoy on your doorstep. Only downside is the parking, although Sharon gave really clear directions to where we could park the car there were no spaces as there is currently lots of building work going on nearby and the workmen’s vans were taking up most of the lane. Thankfully after 5pm we managed to park once the workmen had finished to go home and they were not there over the weekend. It just made it difficult to drop our bags etc off.
Lovely cottage in a nice location. Although the place was nice, let down by TV not working properly and blocked sink in bathroom, which I cleared. Other than that, great.
We hade a lovely and cosy stay at the Norton Cottage. With the 6 of us is was perfect. It was a pity the fire place did not work. And we smelled some of the cooking of the neighbors. But we really enjoyed our stay and location was good near the village.
We can't recommend The Byres highly enough. The cottage was so comfortable, clean and well-presented. Every detail was catered for and made our holiday very enjoyable. Located in a very pretty Cotswold's village with an inviting pub at the end of a scenic walk through the surrounding hills. Thank you for a great stay!
Enjoyed our return to the cotswolds and couldn't have chosen a better cottage. All facilities you need and most importantly it was spotless on arrival with the heating on and a very nice Christmas welcome pack. The owner Paul communicated with us on arrival to confirm we had everything we needed and kept in touch without intruding on our stay. Highly recommend cottage, well done Paul.
Lovely cottage great location. Bread eggs milk and fruit juice nice welcome touch. However the bathroom sink was disgusting. The plug hole was full of hair and sink hadn’t been cleaned properly. Very disappointed especially as rest of the cottage was clean. No feed back from the owners regarding this.
Our stay at Brook Cottage was a winter warmer, the cottage itself is delightfully decorated and very wholesome. We loved utilising the log fire, the smart TV and comfy sofa. The arrival gifts of eggs, milk, bread and orange juice was a lovely touch from the owners. The management team were always on call to answer any queries or questions about the facilities, which was very handy! We had some issues with the bath dripping through the ceiling, and a plumber was organised to visit the following day to sort it out. The location of the cottage is fantastic, you are within a 25min drive...more
This house was absolutely perfect for a family gathering of adults with dogs. The house was very comfortable and well provisioned. Walks from the house were great with the dogs. The pub in the village was welcoming and the Post Office shop/cafe and farm shop provided some extra treats! With the location only ten minutes from Stow, we had everything we needed close by. The Fox at Oddington was an excellent venue for supper. A welcome and information book would have been useful. The week was a huge success so thank you!
Excellent property Waterhead Barn is in a wonderful location for our family reunion & 60th Birthday celebration. There was plenty of room for everyone with comfortable bedrooms. The kitchen was equipped for all our needs with plenty of fridge & freezer storage (Tesco grocery delivery arrived without a hitch)
We arrived at Star Cottage on a blustery December evening and has we stepped into the cottage were welcomed by a beautifully decorated ,cosy comfortable and warm home from home feeling. The cottage was well equipped so we were able to cook. It was ideally located so we did not have to travel far to get to some of the villages. Our stay was delightful and a lovely star to the Christmas festivities.
Thank you so much for having us stay at the beautiful Old Farmhouse. It was everything I had hoped for our family Christmas. It felt like a home and we enjoyed our stay here very much.
We booked Cedar Cottage last minute as Sykes Cottages cancelled our booking at the last minute, and while it wasn't the idyllic cottage in the Cotswold that I had hoped for, it was a very warm, cosy and comfortable retreat. We were a party of 4 adults (2 couples) and found the house to be the perfect size. Could be a bit tight with 6 adults. It was well equipped and contained everything we needed (basic instructions for the oven would be helpful). Being a new build it was modern, in excellent condition and warm with plenty of parking. The house is well located on the edge of Bourton on t...more
Lovely place to stay with nice walk across fields to Bourton on Water. Rainbow Barns is a lovely little staycation. Very comfortable a d clean. Has everything that you need. The dogs loved it and were very settled. Would definitely recommend!
The property was excellent well presented and clean the instructions given before our arrival were very helpful. I would think this property would be a great place to stay in the summer outside look great.
Whilst the cottage is very pleasant and for the most part comfortable, it is in need of a little TLC. The use of cream carpet on the stairs and throughout the upstairs seems a bit silly in a rental property as it was really quite grubby and stained throughout. The decor needs rejuvenating along with some attention to the smaller problems ie: there is no plug in the kitchen sink (this was mentioned in a previous visitor’s feedback). Furthermore, there was no bowl either - they don’t cost much, please provide one or the other. There must be something about plugs in this cottage: the one in t...more
We had a lovely long weekend at pyatts pad! Living space is much larger than pictures and the log burner was lovely! Perfect location for trips out to cotswolds. In walking distance of local pubs and take aways Despite kitchen being small it is well equipped and was not an issue! Host left milk, wine and logs for the fire which were much appreciated! Highly recommend!
Brilliant. Loved our stay and the location could not have been better. Customer service was excellent
The cottage was a big hit with all the family. It had everything you might need and what you might not think you need. We all enjoyed our stay and all the home comforts and we would definitely recommend the cottage to all.
A beautiful cottage with all the character and quirks you’d expect from a property of its age. The 1st floor bedrooms were bigger than we expected. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was a delight for those of us who like cooking. The cottage is big but still has a really homely feel. Location is great. Very peaceful, but just a short drive to the bustling high street at Burford. The fox pub is dog friendly and less than 10 mins stroll from the property. They do great food (try the fish and chips!). We stayed at Greenview as a group of 5 adults and would love to go back.
Nice cottage in a pretty village called Avening.Comfortable, spacious and despite previous reviews on parking I could have got my grandland on the drive and a decent parking space at the back.Perfect location for 7 walks straight from the property and a pub at the bottom of the street .Ideally situated for Tetbury,Bath and Westonburt arboretum.Ideal size for 3 people though with a bit more cutlery I thought it would be okay for 4.
A friendly welcome. A lovely quiet and attractive location. Perfect to return to after a day visiting busy villages! The annexe is very comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean.
Had a great time at the organic wagon. The view is great and it is in close vicinity to numerous spots to visit. The bed was in incredibly comfortable and completed the stay.
The property met all our expectations and was ideal for our large family gathering. The bedrooms gave privacy and the dining area worked really well for gathering, playing games and, of course, eating. The kitchen is very well equipped. Other highlights were the beautiful outlook, the spacious grounds, the charms of Blockley village, and the scope for nearby country walks.
The Byre is an old property reinvented to the highest standards within an idyllic farming hamlet. It’s the old Cotswolds with a new twist and within 10 mins drive of the town of Cirencester where dining and shopping rub shoulders with Roman history.
Wonderful cottage everything we needed and more. The beds were so comfortable and cosy. Close to everything we wanted to do. Enjoyed a meal at the village pub so nice to be able to walk there in this cotswold village. Will definitely go back there again thank you
Had a great stay here with family. Absolutely fantastic, cottage was extremely cosy and well cleaned
Just ideal for what was looking for in stay, great location for Oxford, very comfortable accommodation, hhgelpful contact. Thank you
Lovely cosy house, was very clean and well equipped even down to those little things like bin bags, cling film and salt! Great location for exploring the Cotswolds with Stow on the Wold only 5 minutes drive. Good secure garden for our dog. We enjoyed our stay and would stay at nursery house again. Only comment is that a Christmas tree would have looked lovely in the big lounge!
Lovely little cottage in an idyllic Cotswold village, the perfect setting for a peaceful country getaway
Great home and layout - this review can be split into 2 - the agency accepting the booking was OK - but they dont take calls on the evenings or weekends, which is disapointing as that's when I like to book my holidays. As soon as the booking was made, they couldn't offer any service, and the team it was handed over didn't pick the ball up until 2 weeks before arrival, so if I wanted to know the type of coffee machine 3 weeks before arrival, I was out of luck! I would rather the people taking the booking also managed the property - that way 1 company has responsibility for the entire proc...more
Clare's cottage was conveniently located for exploring the surrounding area and directly across the road from the village pub which was perfect given the torrential rain that arrived on Sunday afternoon just as we were heading there for Sunday lunch. The cottage is bijoux and generally well maintained and equipped and also has the advantage of onsite parking. Unfortunately we were not able to use the fire as there were no matches or kindling - this was a bit of a shame. The beds were comfortable which is very important... but what is equal important is a good shower and unfortunately t...more
We had a lovely stay at Guddlebrook two, it was a much needed break in the country. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Thank you!
A lovely comfortable cottage in the heart of a gem of a Cotswold village. Two pubs and two cafes within walking distance. A top tip for the perfect stay is to bring your essentials with you as there is no get you in pack. Highly recommended.
Cozy comfortable cottage. Comfy beds. Well equipped. Fab shower. Close to market town. 5 mins walk. Would stay again. Nice area with pubs, cafes to walk to. Only issue we had with cleaning. The Kitchen Bin was dirty on arrival
The apartment was quite nice but a bit soulless.. not very clean either.. lots of cobwebs. It’s situated right on the A40 very noisy, not well signposted either. The shower temperature in the en suit was broken, and the place was boiling when we arrived, struggled to turn the heat down so had to open all the windows, except in the 2nd bedroom where there was no window only French doors which obviously you can’t have open all night ♀️ All in all, not worth the high charge £560 plus £80 for 2 dogs, this was from 5pm Friday to 10am Sunday, so not even 48hrs
We had a super time at Burghfield Cottage which is ideally situated for Bourton on the Water. The cottage is spacious inside with a lovely garden outside to enjoy. Both StayCotswold and Zoe, the property owner, were most helpful and we would happily recommend their services and the cottage.
This is a beautiful cottage and very cosy and comfortable for 6 people. The kitchen/diner is perfect for cooking and socialising over dinner. The living room is very cosy and nice to have a log burner for those wintery evenings. It is also great that they had plenty of seating in the living room for more than 6 people to comfortably sit. The village is very quiet but has a lovely pub and the Pig is on the doorstep if you wanted to visit for lunch or dinner. I would highly recommend and hopefully will be able to return soon!
We had a fab time at Elm Barn. It was well kitted out and perfect for our family week away. The grounds were lovely. Only downside is that it said it was walking distance to the local pub but this would have been on busy main roads so not ideal with small children.
Really lovely space in the Cotswolds to relax and be in nature. Hot tub in the woods and very warm cabins to come back to make it homely.
The Nook is a 10 minute drive from Burford and is well located to explore the rest of the Cotswolds. The apartment is clean, comfortable, quiet and well equipped. There is a small cafe / bistro located at the entrance to the residential estate where The Nook's located called the "Cotswold Outpost" which serves breakfast and lunches till 4pm everyday except Tuesday's - The full Cotswold breakfast was very good!
We travelled from Australia and stayed here for a few days with family at Xmas time, what a beautiful home and amazing location! Walk into village was lovely passing by some beautiful spots. Home was lovely with a log fire which we all loved! Would have loved a larger Xmas tree (it was 2-3 ft tree) to make it feel on par with how beautiful the village was decorated but that just because I’m a big Xmas fan, apart from that we were very happy!
Thanks for yummy treats left on arrival. Very thoughtful Really enjoyed our stay. Location was great. Staff really kind and helpful. Cottage very sweet and characterful. Struggled a little with stairs as very steep. Always good to show a picture. We travelled with our adult special needs daughter and had to use the stair gate at night. Thanks for the gate it really helped.
Bunt Barn is a premium building in a lovely location. We really appreciated the space, three generous double bedrooms, lots of living space and a good size kitchen/ diner. For a winter letting, the underfloor heating was a god send, very cosy. However, it is in desperate need of an update; a mix match of glasses (if you like a decent size wine glass take your own), broken waste bin, oven trays well worn, broken scissors, non dishwasher safe plates that must have been put in dishwasher as they we crazed, lack of decent size dinner plates, broken lamp shades on bedside tables. Great weekend with family , cottage in good location ,plenty of room just some TLC required . Bedroom door wouldn't close due to screws missing on hinge , cupboard door not fixed on just slotted in ,unused aerial cable just spread on floor ,downstairs bathroom ceiling got damp mould , Old property but damp wall areas need attention there is just lots of small details need sorting , Furniture in there saying fragile do not use ? Garden great even though winter and secure for dog .
I had a wonderful stay at Rose Cottage! The facilities were excellent, and everything was well-maintained. The cozy decoration added a warm and welcoming touch, making it feel like a home away from home. Overall, I was very happy with my experience and would highly recommend it to others.
We stayed at Honey Cottage as a couple with a toddler and our dog. We found it a to be a lovely cosy retreat and base for exploring the Cotswolds. Nice touches with some essentials being provided and a bottle of wine. A travel cot, high chair and extra towels were provided for our little one and clearly lots of thought has gone into making sure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. We shall be returning - thanks!
We was meant to stay Friday to Monday and we wasn’t there even 24hrs. First I understood there’s a check in time but 5pm is late. When I emailed to see if we could get in early there was no reply till 4:13. We opened the door to the cottage and the cold hit us straight away (it was warmer inside). You’d like to think the heating would be on prior to guest coming to make it nice and welcoming. There wasn’t a nice clean smell when we walked in like you’d think there would be also. I was so glad we took our own heater and heated blanket just in case, because they came in very handy! We went to be...more
Myrtle house is in the perfect location of Shipton under Wychwood. Plenty of amenities in this lovely Cotswold village. Excellent pubs within easy walking and a little shop directly opposite. The house itself was perfectly adequate, but could do with an update. Carpet and soft furnishing’s definitely in need of replacing. Major issue was the shower in the main bathroom. Impossible to use as thermostat was obviously broken and I would say a definite health and safety risk. The water is scalding!!
This property has the potential to be fantastic. The location is superb! With the added benefit of off street parking, which is in demand in Stow! However, there are areas of the property that make it fall short. 1. Condition of the property - the walls, skirtings and paint work feel old and well used with lots of marks and scuffs. There are areas of damp and leaking in the upstairs bedrooms which we weren’t pre warned about. 2. Cleanliness - we are a very clean household and expect properties we stay in to be clean upon arrival. The shower was very clean but all other areas showed dust and a ...more
Lovely cottage but we had 2 criteria for our stay, enclosed garden and log burner. We were told 40 mins before we could arrive not to use the log burner, we asked when someone would look at it so we could but there was no one. The only reason was a report from the previous guest. Really disappointed, this was a joint wedding, Christmas and birthday present for my husband that I saved for months for. For the cost someone should have been in better contact/come out to see or it should have been looked at by a professional.
Perfect location for a fab girls weekend with there being 3 of us and a 8 month old dog there was plenty of room and had everything you could need for a short stay, with it being dog friendly but practical it was a relief with a little enclosed garden too, great little welcome pack with milk & eggs, overall a fab stay
Willows house is a beautiful large property in a great location. The open plan kitchen/ sitting area worked so well for our group of 6 friends. The logs left for the fire were much appreciated in January. We had a minor issue on arrival which we were able to resolve following a prompt call back from the management team. The beds were all comfortable and the bathrooms modern and very clean. We enjoyed the close proximity to Stow and walked there and back for some shopping and an excellent pub lunch at the Bell.
Quite honestly, the home has a ton of potential. Great layout and location with parking was fantastic. Bourton is a beautiful village and being walking distance from town centre was great. 3 bedroom set up with a living space was great. However, the house is in a major need of a face lift and clean up. The walls all needed to be repainted as there were scuff marks everywhere, the beds were terrible at all and needed new mattresses, pillows were falling apart, and linens (we didn't even have a top sheet on the primary room upstairs and linens had holes in them), the furniture in the living...more
Couldn’t fault the accommodation. Everything you could need was provided, lots of space, great condition. Lovely big garden. Really cosy in the evening with the fire. Will definitely come again.
Perfect location for a family covering 4 generations within level walking distance that all Bourton on the Water has to offer. Well laid out flexible accommodation and the bonus of parking for at least four cars. Communication with the letting agent was excellent and would certainly look to rent their other properties in the future. Good welcome pack including a bottle of wine! Powerful showers with plenty of hot water, very effective central heating. On the whole a very comfortable stay but lacking a little care and attention as the property is looking tired in places.
The cottage was very cosy. Kitchen and bathroom needed some tlc, but on the whole we had a very enjoyable mini break. The location was very quiet, but only a few yards from the town centre with is various bars/restaurants.
We stayed a week here, the house had everything you would need for the stay, the kitchen had all the utensils needed, although the Aga took some getting use to. Upstairs bedrooms were a good size, the biggest "But" I have is the smaller of the double room Upstairs desperately needs a new mattress my back was in pieces by the end of the week ( and no the other guests would not swap) or a new mattress topper.
We had a great stay here, it is so convenient to walk into Stow itself and did a great 6km loop walk around the local countryside. The house was comfortable and located opposite Majestic Wine and M&S which was great for picking up food and drink whilst we were there. A few extra loo rolls, bigger towels for longer than a 1 night stay, and mini shampoo/conditioner would have been great for that extra special touch.
The cottage has a lot of character, but not sure it fits with the description of “luxury cottage” as it says on the website. It needs a bit of TLC and a good in-depth cleaning. The house was full of cobwebs and spiders, and they were big and thick cobwebs, that had been there for weeks. The cushions available for the garden chairs were in the kitchen and in a very poor state, some of them ripped. The kitchen floor wasn’t clean at all and it was sticky. The kitchen utensils and cutlery were dirty and greasy, I presume the previous occupants didn’t clean very well but this is not something you e...more
The cottage had all the facilities we needed. Very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and wood burner. The location was great for getting around the Cotswolds, especially the arboretum nearby, Stow and Chipping Campden. The main road outside is very busy and used by quite a lot of lorries. Unfortunately, due to road works, there was standing traffic outside, including very early in the morning, which was quite disruptive.
We enjoyed a good week at Kings Cottage with our dog Cilla, comfortable cottage in a good location for exploring the Cotswolds. Very clean on arrival and all the facilities we required for a good stay including the lovely hot tub which was ready to use when we arrived.
The cottage was fine for 2 people but would have been a squeeze with 4. It had all the amenetues we neededThe cottage was clean on the surface but could do with a deep clean. The windows and window frames were very dirty. The "garden" was full of weeds. The gas hob igniters and the cooker hood were not working and he hive thermostat was not connecting so no central heating. The management came to sort this but neither was fixed. At the end of our stay I emptied out a completely full vacuum as I found there was barely any suction. The hoover couldn't have been emptied for a long time . It fi...more
Two failed attempts to communication with the manager before arrival - email/telephone. The agents could inform the property manager of the email address of the client to avoid Spam folder issues (if they don't already). A multi zone heating system is much too complicated for people arriving after a long journey to grapple with. Some of the zones were set for 16 deg between 9am and 5pm as if we were going out to work during the day! Consideration must be given to babies/ the elderly/infirm who sleep/rest during the day. Old buildings with thick stone walls only retain heat if they are conti...more
Check in at 5pm meant arriving in the dark, location sent via What 3 Words, which we do not use and therefore couldn’t find The Nest. Following a telephone call and guidance we managed to find it, signage needs improving as impossible to see In the dark Great little place to stay to explore the locality. Wouldn’t want to stay longer than a weekend as sofa not comfortable for relaxing. lovely and clean, all the essentials provided, could do with a large wall mirror near a plug for drying hair etc. Heating was a bit random and unable to change it due to needing a passcode, not sure if timer ha...more
We had a great stay, the accommodation was lovely and the updates from those managing it was great. On the day of check-in we received a message to say we could check in early (before midday), however on the website it says 5 o'clock check-in (which is quite late). We were also allowed a later check-out which was a bonus. The only downside is we had not made any plans to arrive earlier than 5, so the only improvement would be to give a little more notice on check-in and check-out times so we could make the most of it. Otherwise it was what we needed
The property was tired and not very clean. Towels from the previous guests were left hanging on the back of the bedroom door. Carpets still had dog hair on them. The sofas are uncomfortable. The bins outside had not been emptied for some time and there was dog poo in the recycling bin. The kitchen was lacking in equipment.
We appreciate the cottage was old and quirky but we should have been told it was unsuitable for the elderly! My 86 yr old mom struggled to get up the stairs as they were old, sloping and had no handrail. There were large black flies continuously flying around in all the rooms. The carbon monoxide monitor didn't work and when we got in there was a worrying smell which we reported but it wasn't investigated.. We didn't see a smoke alarm. There was a hole in the floor under the bunk bed and also water damage to the wall in the same room. Lovely old cottage tho in a great part of the Cotswolds...more
My general rule of thumb when booking and paying good money for a holiday property is that it needs to be as good as, if not better, than my own home. Sadly Orchard Cottage, although a lovely little Cotswolds Cottage in a great location, does not meet that standard. The whole property inside needs upgrading, it looks as though it was made ready as a holiday let about ten years ago and has not been touched since. We stayed over Christmas 2024, therefore this review is based on a winter stay. Firstly the heating was struggling and only one radiator upstairs on the landing, no heating in the bed...more
Lovely cottage in a nice location with super views from the back over the fields and village below As can often the case, the photos online give the cottage a larger feel, whereas in reality, it is quite compact - fully functional just a bit cosy in places, such as the three bedrooms and the stairs to the very top twin room - not a problem for us, however if you had limited mobility, perhaps not the cottage for you We could not find a key to open the back door to the garden or the lock has had it On arrival, in the dark, there was no sign of the keybox - it turns out it is out the back by ...more
Arrival was a bit fraught. Instructions tell you that the arrival point is the garage but there's nothing to identify the garage doors as belonging to the cottage and we're not really familiar with using "Just Three Words". Getting into the garage which is right on a very busy road involves a very tricky manoeuvre. We found the keys to the house door but couldn't open it. Eventually we rang a contact number who said that the door was probably already open. We had been locking an unlocked door. We were a bit stressed by now but wanted to put our food away before having a relaxing drink. ...more
Booking process and pre-stay information was spot on, can't fault it. Great location for Bourton-on-the-Water, Burford, Cirencester etc. We stayed at the cottage as we had a family wedding in Burford which is only a short drive away. Bourton-on-the-Water is a beautiful village, lots to do and see. The cottage has rustic charm with lots of great features i.e. an abundance of plate and glassware and nice touch having a canteen of cutlery for use. The cottage on the surface was fine; however, it is a bit tired and would benefit from a deep clean and better quality pillows. Apart from this we ha...more
