Pear Tree Cottage, which is located in Upper Oddington, boasts a modern interior mixed with traditional Cotswold features. The beautiful garden and terrace is the perfect place to relax and put your feet up after a busy day of exploring the Cotswolds. Located just outside the market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, where there is a plethora of restaurants, pubs and eateries.

The cottage is well equipped down stairs. The tray of goodies on arrival were excellent and very appreciated. On arrival we noted that the outside area was not well swept and the chairs round the bar area need repainting. One of the cushion boxes was left open and the cushions we’re full of water, we reported this and attempted to dry off the cushions. One of the wooden loungers was broken. Apart from the main bedroom the furniture in the others needs updating or at least proper bed side tables provided, there is no hanging space in the top bedroom. Finally it would have been useful to have some information on how the burglar alarm, lights and heating work plus what was expected on leaving the house, eg, should we have stripped the bed.

Despite the niggles above we did enjoy our stay. The location is excellent and the pub over the wall very good.

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay and found Pear Tree Cottage to be in an excellent location and well equipped. We are sorry that the previous guests had left one of the cushion boxes open and that the cushions were damp. The garden chairs have been used throughout the summer so are showing signs of wear and tear which will be addressed once the summer season comes to an end. The owners have confirmed that the gardener comes on a weekly basis to tidy the garden however the trees have been shedding their leaves significantly and unseasonably due to the hot summer. There is a small hanging rack in the top floor bedroom however due to size restraints the owners were unable to add a full-sized wardrobe. There is a copy of the welcome information at the property which gives instructions for the heating, hot water and alarms systems, also a phone number and email address were provided for the Property Manager who you can contact should you have needed any further assistance with the heating and appliances. We do hope that you will be back to stay at Pear Tree Cottage again soon!

Our only negative comment, and it’s not really that negative is,……be careful of the hood top over the range, the scars on my forehead will attest that cooking can be hazardous!

Please don't stay here. Otherwise it may not be available for me! Just the most stunning house and location. The Stay Cotswold team, the owner and the house keeper were fantastic throughout. One of our best staycations ever. Will definitely rebook.

Pear Tree suited the 8 of us beautifully. A great location for walks and cycling not to mention the pub!
The house is very comfortable with plenty of space to gather, or relax We had a couple of questions whilst there and they were addressed promptly and were very helpful.
