Coursehill Barn Annexe is a romantic one bedroom dog friendly Cotswold holiday barn in a beautiful rural location, just a stone’s throw away from charming villages and gastro pubs. This detached converted dairy building located just south of Witney, features high ceilings and a cosy open-plan kitchen/living room with access to a big garden. A perfect base to explore Oxford and the Cotswolds.

Scored 3 for value for money as you only really get one full day I was expecting full weekend.
Sofa was in a very poor condition ripped had to put a blanket over.
Not value for money because of the limited time you could stay in the annexe. (5pm arrival 10am departure)
Unfortunately we had gardeners with chainsaws all of Saturday the noise was horrendous and we haven't even been offered compensation of some kind therefore we would not use this company again.

We are sorry that you felt your stay was not value for money, the check in and check out times are clearly advertised in the property listing for all guests to view before placing their booking. The property owner has also confirmed that when you called to see if you could get access at an earlier time it was agreed to immediately. The property owner also discussed with you once you had arrived that the sofa unfortunately had been damaged by a previous guest and a replacement had been ordered but was unable to be delivered until the day of your departure. The owner tries to keep the garden looking as good as possible for guests to be able to enjoy, which does mean that maintenance needs to take place from time to time. Sadly, the hedge trimming had been booked in advance and it unfortunately coincided with your booking However, once you notified the owner that you were unhappy about this, he did speak with the contractors to get them to stop immediately to ensure that you could use the garden in peace. The owner does hope that you received your watch that you had accidentally left behind and which had been sent on to you via recorded delivery at no charge.

We stayed here for a few nights before journeying on. The Annexe was clean and tidy on arrival with everything in its place so no problem there. The property lacked a few facilities though. Call me old fashioned if you like but there was no teapot or any wine glasses. Also the settee cushions need recovering. For the more savvy, the WIFI is strong and the TV good. Nice and peaceful with access to large lawned garden with plenty of bird life to see. Also under the approach to Brize Norton so some aircraft spotting. Airbus A400, C17 Globemaster and Voyager aircraft. Not intrusive though. Witney is a nice town and would you believe it, parking is free in the multi story car park for four hours. That’s to be admired, a forward thinking council. The 20 mph speed limits are a nuisance though, but that’s just my opinion. Overall a good few days. Oh and take in in the owners advice and use the north entrance from the road. The track down to the place is a bit rough.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Coursehill Barn Annexe. We had pretty much everything we needed for our short break. Great outdoor space for our dog to wander, nice quiet location and great to watch the planes daily on approach into Brize Norton. We found the accommodation flexible for booking short breaks and is reasonably priced. A Cafetière would have been useful as well as a welcome pack which could give details on recycling / WiFi, etc plus any other important / useful information.

We had a fantastic long weekend at Coursehill Barn - the barn conversion is very well done and comfortable. There was also the use of the field which was good for our dog to enjoy running around in.

We have recently enjoyed a very pleasant stay at Coursehill Barn Annexe. For many years, we have loved taking short breaks in the Cotswolds, but this one was prompted by an invitation to a wedding just outside Banbury. As we wanted to spend the majority of our stay a little further into the Cotswolds, this location was ideal. It provided easy access to both the wedding venue and our favourite haunts further west.
The Annexe is easy to find (particularly when using the '3 words location app') and in a lovely location. It has the appearance of being away from it all, whilst at the same time being only a short distance from the main road. The views all round the property are very rural, and we really appreciated having access to the garden, complete with the sight and sound of the sheep grazing nearby. As it is so close to Brize Norton, we inevitably encountered intermittent air traffic at very close quarters, but we found this more of an interest than a hindrance.
With the high ceilings and sky lights, there is a real sense of airiness and space at the property. During some very warm weather, we were able to maintain the property at a comfortable temperature, especially at night.
The Annexe had everything we needed for our stay, including good quality kitchen equipment and furnishings, with a comfortable bed and luxurious duvet. I particularly liked the wooden shutters in the living room and bedroom and there was a decent sized television in the living area/kitchen. The key safe at the front door is an excellent idea and one we have not encountered at any other holiday property.
There are only minor points which I hope will be useful feedback. When we arrived, we were unable to find a dish cloth or cleaning cloth and there was only one rubber glove under the sink. There was also very little handwash in the bathroom (although what was there, along with the hand and body lotion, was lovely!). As I say, these are only minor points and in no way detract from our memories of a very enjoyable and relaxing stay in the Cotswolds. We would have no hesitation in booking the Annexe again for a future holiday.

The Barn is lovely and roomy and everything was nice and clean. Well placed for many places to visit in the area. Pleasant gardens. Ignore your Satnav if it tells you to use the eastern 'arm' of Coursehill Lane to get there, use the northern 'arm' (sorry, can't think of a better way to explain it!).

The annexe was a good distance from main roads so very quiet and situated in a small complex of buildings with good parking,the barn was well equipped with underfloor heating and kitchen equipment that was of a high standard even the Tv was connected to the internet I give full marks to the Coursehill barn annexe

Excellent location for exploring the Cotswolds. The Annexe is cosy and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The garden is enclosed and ideal for dogs. It is a little remote but not a problem if you have a car. We did have lunch at the Bell in Ducklington and the food (and beer) were both excellent. Very quiet (we heard 3 or 4 planes but it was never an issue).

We stayed in this Annex as it was close to landmarks we wanted to visit within Oxfordshire. The Annex is gorgeous, very spacious and very cosy. It's in a very tucked away location yet close to amenities. Its surrounded by a few other beautiful properties but nonetheless very quiet. Only thing we picked up on was the dog hair on the bed throw and on the mat on the living room. All in all, a lovely place to stay and would definitely stay again!

Nice property in a good location for touring the Cotswolds and the Thames Valley. We enjoyed watching the big planes going over the house into Brize Norton and the occasional noise was not a problem. It was quite entertaining. The property is tastefully decorated and has plenty of windows to enjoy the country views. The location is very quiet except for the occasional plane noise. It is only a couple of miles from Whitney with a good selection of shops and supermarkets.
There are some improvements that could make it perfect. The property would benefit from an information book for operating appliances like radio and shower. An ice box in the fridge is really needed for making ice cubes and storing any frozen food. Also a non-slip bath mat for the shower is needed. A cafetiere or coffee maker would be helpful - we had to go and buy a cafetiere to use the ground coffee we had brought with us. The bathroom towel rail did not appear to work. Some folding sun chairs would be helpful for summer days. Apart from these few things it was an excellent cottage for our 5-day stay.

This is a spacious barn annexe with lots of equipment and a comfortable bed. High shelves and a deep bath were a bit of a challenge for a short and mildly disabled person but the only significant problem I had was the close proximity to RAF Brize Norton. I was woken 2 nights out of 3 by planes going over in the middle of the night. Not a place for a light sleeper

The Annex was in a good location and the field for dog walking was ideal, one thing to be aware of is the farm complex is on the flight path for low aircraft going into Brize Norton, but being a aircraft enthusiast I was able to get some good photos.
The rooms were clean and the large lounge/kitchen area were ideal for our Spaniel.
Would like to come back.

This is a lovely place to stay. Idyllic location on a farm. Ideal for dogs due to large garden and field adjoining the property. Inside was tastefully decorated and well appointed with everything you need for your stay. Plenty of room for parking. You do get the occasional noise from planes at nearby RAF Brize Norton, but that didn't bother us.

Super barn conversion - ideal for a couple. Use of large garden and adjoining field a bonus for our dog. Only 5 minutes to A40 and 15 minutes to Burford gateway to Cotswolds. Plenty of planes overhead from Brize Norton which added to the fun of our stay - warming up for the airshow. We were very lucky with the weather so would recommend this cottage for an outdoors holiday.

The barn was lovely and clean,when we arrived,though some of the light bulbs in the bathroom and hall way and the shower
didn't work,but didn't make a difference to us,left a note to let the owners know. The bed was comfy and the barn had everything you needed. I would just say it would be good to mention,that the duvet and maybe pillows are goose down,as some people could be allergic to them.Brize Nortonis nearby,so you do get a few planes come over. We ould definitely come back.

The annex was lovely. Quiet location. Lovely big garden for the dog to play in. Close to lake walks and fishing lakes if that's what you like to do. Didn't take advantage of the local area as we were unable to take our dog to many places but was ideal to de- stress and unwind.

Everything you could want from a holiday cottage. The setting was gorgeous, tranquil even though you it is in the flight path of Brize Norton. Ideal location for exploring Oxfordshire. Look forward to returning if or when we are in that area.

The annexe is a lovely compact cottage in a beautiful rural setting and only 5mins drive from Witney and it’s good selection of shops and places to eat. There were only two downsides to the property; firstly the sofa is too far away from the tv (we moved the sofa to the middle of the room and put the dining table in its place which gave a much more cosy feeling, obviously we put everything back before we left) and secondly no site of the outdoor chairs and table. There was some in the drive way to the garage on the far side of the annexe but these we through a driveway gate on one side and through a gate with a key code lock on the garden side. If those are the chairs for the annexe then it would have been better for them to be in the garden.

The table and chairs by the garage are for guests use and get the sun from midday onwards. It is private to the cottage and is not overlooked by the main barn. If the owner of the main house is away, guests are welcome to use the table and chairs by the main barn which overlooks the garden. Superb place to stay! This was our first time in the Cotswolds and Coursehill Barn was a great place to stay. Plenty of space inside and the surrounding gardens made this the ideal location for our dog too. You are only a short car trip away from the nearest supermarket for supplies; there are plenty of pubs to choose from as well. Lots of walks nearby for our four legged friend and plenty of fresh air for us, 10/10.

We had a brilliant time. The garden and outdoor space was beyond our expectations and really made the holiday for us. Our puppy loved it and could run around happily. We couldn’t ask for more and we hope to return soon!!
