Stunning house with beautiful gardens. There were only six of us celebrating a 70th birthday therefore we didn’t use all the house. Could not believe the lovely welcome basket Prosecco and flowers that were waiting for us. We cooked steaks and a lovely chicken dish plus breakfast each morning. There was so much equipment there for our use. Would definitely recommend this beautiful cottage

We were attending a wedding locally and decided to stay the full week to explore this part of the Cotswolds. Barnsley Cottage fully lived up to our expectations; beds very comfortable, great showers and plenty of space for everyone. Great location just a few miles from Cirencester town and park, both worth visits. Easy access to beautiful walks from the cottage meant happy dogs too! Thanks to the host Annabel for her local knowledge and efficiency. Hopefully we’ll return one day!

Lovely cottage in a pretty location for a family of ten and two dogs. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated and fully catered to our needs. Will definitely be returning.

May I start with saying the cottage was in a great location for walks .The beds were clean and very comfortable with beautiful bed linen, the bathrooms were also clean.

However overall the cottage was extremely cluttered with the owners personal items so much so we felt like we were intruding in someones home.Unfortunately we were most disappointed with the cleanliness of Barnsley cottage, it needs a thorough & deep clean.

Lovely house & village. Great place for a gathering & catchup whilst attending a family wedding at Cripps Barn wedding venue ( approx 1 1/2 miles away ). November rain prevented too much sightseeing but the house provided home comforts. ( Forthcoming bathroom make over will only improve the home comforts )

This cottage was a perfect location for our annual cousins get together this year. It had loads of character and felt both spacious and cosy, and there was plenty of room for the ten of us to socialise and eat together. The location was beautiful and we found lots of great walks starting from the cottage.

Seven of us stayed. All very comfortable and the house had everything we could wish for. The dog loved the garden. Giffords Circus was on at Cirencester one night and was really fun. Beautiful walks from the house too.

Lovely house for our family get together. The house was exceptionally well equipped and a good size for a group of 10 + baby + dog. The owner was very helpful and dealt with a couple of minor niggles promptly. Would thoroughly recommend.

We spent an excellent weekend family get-together in Barnsley Cottage. Initially we expected 9 adults but due to illness we were 7 in total. We felt that had there been 9 of us, we might have felt somewhat cramped, and the small bedroom in the loft space would have needed to be used, compromising the privacy of the other loft bedroom. The loft space was uncomfortable to stand up in and would possibly have been more suitable for children.

We were a little concerned that we did not correctly recycle our rubbish. Instructions could have been more specific. We arrived from four different counties, and each county has its own rules!

Lovely location with a lovely garden and beautiful countryside. The Village Pub was very welcoming. We would certainly recommend Barnsley.

We appreciate your feedback about the recycling and will share this with the owner to see if the instructions can be made any clearer, thank you. Barnsley Cottage is well equipped and laid out to comfortably accommodate 10+1 guests in 5 generously sized bedrooms with 4 super king beds, 1 king bed and 1 additional day bed (3 of the super king beds can be made as twin beds on request). As detailed in the photos, 3D tour and description, bedroom 5 is accessed via a small corridor from bedroom 4. Overall, we are delighted that you had an excellent weekend stay and enjoyed the local area and beautiful garden.

Stayed with extended family over February half term to celebrate a big birthday. House was very homely and comfortable and host was always on hand to answer any questions. Bedrooms were all nice doubles and beds very comfortable with good bed linen. House was in a nice village outside of Cirencester.
My only negative comment would be that in places, particularly the kitchen the house was a little cluttered. which at times made it difficult to find things.
My Grandaughter enjoyed the snug with all the toys and we all enjoyed the log fire during the evening.
I would recommend this house to anyone looking to go away or celebrate with close family.
