We chose Gardener's Cottage for its proximity to Burford. The house is beautiful and was spotlessly clean. The garden looked lovely with the daffodils in bloom. We had a very enjoyable stay and shall return later this year.
we had a lovely stay here, the place was immaculate, and patricia was the perfect host. basic foods on arrival which was really appreciated. the apartment, is beautifully decorated and provides a perfect setting. such a lovely stay and would definately return.
Absolutely beautiful cottage with top quality fittings a stone's throw from the heart of Bourton on the Water. Owners are next door but do not intrude on ones privacy at all. Very peaceful and with French windows leading onto lovely back garden and view of Church Tower beyond. Everything was excellent quality and such a convenient spot tucked away so near the centre. The most delicious welcome hamper with local farm products included. We enjoyed our stay so much and would love to return. Highly recommended and company a pleasure to deal with too.
Had a lovely few days here with my mum, 2 girls and our dog, beautiful cottage and lovely surrounding area.
Excellent getaway in a quiet hamlet with great pub only 2 minutes walk. Fantastic retreat for exploring the Cotswolds.
A lovely clean house located in an excellent village that catered for all our needs. Will definitely be returning in the future
Every comfort provided even down to fresh eggs for breakfast and homemade damson gin. Would definitely recommend Grooms Cottage.
We had the most gorgeous stay here. The cottage was stunning and all the little extras just added to the enjoyment. A beautiful hamper, fresh fruit, flowers etc. The area is stunning and some lovely places to eat and drink. We will definitely be returning.
We had an amazing short stay. David is a fantastic host. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped. The surroundings are beautiful, and the location is great. We highly recommend and will surely return.
We had to make a last minute booking and everything was handled impeccably. We arrived quite late but the next morning Andy arrived with a welcome package which was really appreciated (and unexpected!) The cottage was impeccable, had everything you would need and was very conveniently as we needed to be close to our daughter which was only a few miles away. I would highly recommend this cottage if you are looking for a place to stay in the Cotswold are
Our family 3 adults and 2 dogs had a wonderful time at Diamond Cottage the consensus was one of the best yet. The cottage was really comfortable with a lovely garden where the dogs could play securely. We could walk out the door and go to 4 or 5 dog friendly pubs where we could have a meal. There was a lovely bakery and deli. Everything was so convenient an ideal place to stay.
Loved New Year and Easter here, with both a log burner and a sun trap garden. The space is small but feels fresh, uncluttered and cosy. Attractive Kingham easy to reach by rail with many good walks and pubs nearby, not least the wonderful Wild Rabbit on your doorstep.
Thank you for a lovely weekend . Coniston house is beautiful in an excellent location . So many places to eat bust and walk to.
The cottage was great and the location was great. Only a dishwasher would have improved things. The local pub is great but gets very busy on a Saturday night. You need to book to get a table. It's the only pub in Naunton so if you can't get in you have to go to Stow or Bourton
Lovely house in a fabulous location. Was a great base for a first time visit to the Cotswolds. Would definitely visit again
Excellent place to stay, quiet, a warm welcome, a great place to start a visit to the Cotswold. Very secluded you can walk your dog from the front door, straight out across fields to a major footpath, and you could walk for miles, Yet only 15 mins walk into Moreton in Marsh Had a great time! Will be back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Glen. It is a beautiful, comfortable house, brilliantly located and with the benefit of a parking space (although a tight squeeze for a big car!) We had a lovely stay - enjoying the local pubs, walking...and even attending the village amateur dramatics! We will definitely be back.
Very comfortable cottage with all modern equipment , nice quiet setting with only birdsong and the odd passing horse or tractor, Our third visit in a year .
Stephen the owner was delightful and extremely helpful! The house was a fantastic size with bathrooms for each room. The garden and surrounding land was fantastic for roaming. The location of the house to Dover Hill and Broadgate Tower was brilliant and walkable (if a keen rambler). Lovely stay!
We stayed here at the end of February to celebrate a friends marriage. It was the perfect stay, on arriving don't be wary about driving into a farm because as soon as you enter the property you will be wowed. The main house is stunning and the perfect space for entertaining, the ktichen well stocked and enough cutlery to fit the enormous dining table. Hirons Piece was amazing for the older members of our party and those with children, the kitchen/dining area was really beautiful. The main house has so much character and is the perfect place for entertaining, the location is great and its abo...more
Very nice cottage with some lovely features. All of the amenities and equipment you could wish for. The location is incredible in the quintessential Cotswold town of Stow on the Wold. There are an abundance of excellent places to eat and drink on your door step. We also found the locals to be very friendly and helpful.
House was amazing the only thing that was a disappointment is the fact that this cottage is still advertised as “within walking distance to a pub” the pub closed down over 2 years ago and is not expected to re open in the near future. As this was one of our requirements in our cottage search this was disappointing. Everything else was perfect.
Super stylish, comfortable, quiet, roaring fires, lovely walks, great for kids - so relaxing. Visited Cirencester and the wildlife park, but really didn’t want to leave the cottage. A real home from home, Bella (4) loved her room and all the lovely toys.
This has been our second stay at Apple Cottage. We love the location and the cottage is very well provided for, and very tastefully done throughout. Good kitchen and comfortable beds. We will be booking again.
Lovely few days away - great place to stay. Warm, comfortable and everything needed was provided. Thank you
the Lowfields Cottage is in an ideal location to explore all the wonders of the Cotswolds and is in such a peaceful setting that it was easy to unwind and relax during our family stay. We never tired of the beautiful views across the fields from the back garden. The facilities provided within the cottage are very good and we would certainly consider returning to Lowfields.
Enjoyed a very pleasant break in early May. Really enjoyable evenings relaxing, enjoying the fantastic views and listening to the birdsongs. Cottage has everything you need and great attention to detail with a lovely hamper of goodies provided on arrival. Highly recommended and we will certainly visit again.
Lovely cute cottage in a perfect location for exploring the nearby beautiful landscape and attractions. We were able to visit many places with our dog including the cotswolds wildlife park. The many touches at the cottage made this a home from home experience which we loved.
Excellent stay, good facilities. Might be helpful if the owners are aware that several of the doors have stiff door knobs, and the external doors are difficult to lock. The blinds in a couple of the bedroom let in light, waking us up. Apart from these points all was excellent. The games room was fun,
lovely cottage in a good location It would be more flexible if one of the bedroom had a larger double bed and the other bedroom twin beds rather than two standard doubles and an open fire would be great otherwise a very well appointed property
We stayed at Compton House for four nights. It’s a great base for exploring the Cotswolds. Good parking provision. It’s a large house although in practice we mainly used the kitchen and tv room rather than the formal living room (no tv for the evenings). The centre of Chipping Campden is easily accessible with a car or a 10 minute stroll across the meadow. Our toddler son loved playing in and exploring the garden.
Beautiful cottage, light and airy, in an excellent location, from which it is possible to take several good walks. The contents of the hamper were very welcome. For the convenience of guests I would suggest relocating the microwave in the kitchen to the other side of the sink to give more room for access and to avoid banging one's head on the stair case. Cutlery, crockery (including the cake tin and saucepan) were less clean than we would have expected. We noticed a small gap in the floor tile grouting near the shower door; in time this could potentially lead to a leak to the fl...more
A perfect, large house for partying and clearly used as such. Lovely big entertainment rooms, fabulous giant dining table and all bedrooms ensuite. But not the house for discerning guests. We had many issues with the plumbing, general state of repair and cleanliness. Our greatest concern, though, is for the dangerous state of some of the beds. Linked beds are fine if they are securely linked. A very nasty injury could have happened when one of our party fell as the beds parted as she sat down caused by a broken link bar.
Steep spiral stairs to all floors not suitable for a couple of 88 year olds but we managed. Lovely garden to sit in the sunshine. Daughter and granddaughter enjoyed it immensely. Perfect for relieving the stress they have been under. Lovely and warm in the property (early April). Many interesting places to explore nearby. Would recommend Ask Italian restaurant in Morton, good food and ambiance. Nice staff. The key holder in the porch was a bit of a fiddle. Put the code in and press the top button. The keypad comes away to reveal the keys inside. Enjoy!
