We find the cottage and the location really relaxing and hopefully we will continue holidaying there.
This is the third time we have been to Grooms cottage. It is in an excellent location in a beautiful village. The cottage is comfortable and has everything that you need. Safe private parking is a bonus. I would recommend this cottage.
Stunning home and in really beautiful grounds with tennis court and a little orchard. Our dog had a good run around. Lots of space for everyone to spread out with 2 separate living rooms and a large kitchen where we could all help with meals. Really beautifully furnished as well. Some of our group had to work and there are quiet areas to set up a mini office in addition to the 2 living rooms. WiFi worked well. Very thoughtful and generous welcome pack left by Ali. Lovely local walks and a great pub with all day dining about 5 mins away. We went in October and the weather wasn’t great but for t...more
A beautiful cottage off the beaten track next to a working farm. Very calm and peaceful. The cottage had everything you needed and the groceries were a lovely touch. Would definitely consider staying there again.
Blockley is a perfect location to explore the Cotswolds. Well stocked community shop and cafe and great waljs from the doorstep. Not overrun with tourists! Little Shrublands was a delightful and well equipped house and wd felt very comfortable in it. We visited in November so were unable to take advantage of the conservatory/dining room and lovely garden area but they would provide great extra space for summer months.
We picked Nellies Barn as a great central location to explore the Cotswolds and it didn’t disappoint. Very good value for money and really practical layout with many of the creature comforts enjoyed at home.
Superb well equipped cottage in delightful village, with excellent local pub. Stairs to two of the bedrooms could be a challenge for small children or the elderly. The cottage is ideal for both Summer and winter visits....warm and cosy with beautiful outside space.
We loved our second stay at Apple Cottage. We wanted to see it in December and it was everything we thought it would be. We were sad to learn that Lati was no longer there; she was an exceptional caretaker. But Donata was great and had a Christmas tree and decorations ready when we got there. Real garland and holly on the fireplace…we couldn’t have asked for more. Please never change! We just love it there. All our very best wishes and thanks for another wonderful stay. Tracey and Ken.
Well located, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Lovely garden with quality garden furniture. We had a great stay.
Clean, spacious, well located accommodation. Good range of appliances etc. All 3 bedrooms are a good size. The extensive informal garden is ideal for sitting out. Located down a narrow lane in easy walking distance of Moreton-in-Marsh centre. Adequate parking in front of the property. Note that properties have names but no numbers, so locating the specific house could be tricky, but I hunted it out on Google Street View before setting off. One minor limitation - there is a shower in the communal shower room. The en-suite bathroom, however, has a bath but no over-bath shower and shower screen,...more
Spent most of our stay in the garden enjoying the river view and watching the boats and generally soaking up the atmosphere Comfortable accommodation, easy parking and everything we needed provided. Warm welcome from the owner. Village has good pub food at the Bridge plus handy supermarket and petrol station. Ancient bridge and parkland an added bonus as are the cafe and village buildings / architecture. Close to Warwick and Stratford on Avon. Blue Boar Inn in nearby village very good for food.
Very tastefully decorated and provided with best quality fixtures and fittings. Parking right outside. Large open plan sitting and kitchen, with everything you could need provided. Small bedrooms but very comfortable beds and good quality bedding. Lovely bathroom, no room for separate shower. We did have a couple of issues, but the owners sorted them efficiently for us and at times that were right for us and while we were out. Very oeaceful with village views, very little light pollution and so quiet you really hear the birds singing. The area is very beautiful, rolling hills, beautiful...more
We loved our stay once we finally arrived! The location was rather difficult to find and Quenington, the village, does not have cell service, only land lines, thus the navigation in our auto failed us and it was near darkness. Julia, wonderful Julia, manager at The New Inn (great food by the way) came to our rescue by guiding us there with her own auto. It being a weekend and the staff at Cotswolds Hideways was for the most part on weekend, after some time and several pleas for help, we all resorted to WhatsApp but by that time we were wonderfully ensconced in Hope Cottage. The cottage is...more
excellent place for getting the family together, plenty of space and large table to get all 10 plus a 5year old around.
Perfect 3 nights stay. Lovely cottage, and nice to meet Vanessa the host. Stairs took a bit of getting used to as very steep but that’s to be expected in old cottage. Charming place and village and 4 pubs in walking distance. Peaceful. Very clean and loved the mini food hamper for our stay and dog treats for Ralph our fox terrier.
We enjoyed staying in the cottage, which was tastefully furnished and with a homely feel. The cottage was reached down a long driveway which meant it was surrounded by beautiful countryside. Plenty of local walks to be had. A couple of good pubs serving great food within walking distance and others within a short drive. A very enjoyable week.
Well located near Snowshill and with views of the countryside. However, the owners made no effort to welcome us as guests and not even a minimal welcome pack was available. Having been guest accommodation for many years it would benefit from modest investment in some new pillows, kitchen crockery, cutlery, utensils etc. During our stay the owners should not have entered the property without informing us in advance.
We booked this break as part of my wife's 60th birthday celebrations. The cottage, annexe and gardens were lovely. A great location for exploring the Cotswolds and the local pub, a 5 minute walk, was great for having a drink at the end of the day.
Beautiful cottage and reassuring property manager who was on hand if we needed anything. The Fox pub is 2 minutes away and is a must-visit. We will be returning next year.
