We find the cottage and the location really relaxing and hopefully we will continue holidaying there.
This is the third time we have been to Grooms cottage. It is in an excellent location in a beautiful village. The cottage is comfortable and has everything that you need. Safe private parking is a bonus. I would recommend this cottage.
A beautiful cottage off the beaten track next to a working farm. Very calm and peaceful. The cottage had everything you needed and the groceries were a lovely touch. Would definitely consider staying there again.
What a lovely surprise when we entered this barn. My friend and I were so happy. The open plan kitchen and living room was huge and comfortable. If you had children, the mezzanine, with a collection of books, was great. The kitchen provided everything you would need, including some wonderful welcome hampers - cheese, butter, wine, milk, bread, assortment of treats. They even had a couple of trays of ice cubes! The beds were really comfortable and they provided bathrobes too! Each room had its own temp control and underfloor heating. They even provided blackout curtains to attach if needed ...more
Blockley is a perfect location to explore the Cotswolds. Well stocked community shop and cafe and great waljs from the doorstep. Not overrun with tourists! Little Shrublands was a delightful and well equipped house and wd felt very comfortable in it. We visited in November so were unable to take advantage of the conservatory/dining room and lovely garden area but they would provide great extra space for summer months.
Superb well equipped cottage in delightful village, with excellent local pub. Stairs to two of the bedrooms could be a challenge for small children or the elderly. The cottage is ideal for both Summer and winter visits....warm and cosy with beautiful outside space.
Wonderful little cottage in the quaint village of Snowshill. Spacious and situated centrally in the Cotswolds so you can visit many other towns in the area.
Lovely Beautiful Home - very cosy & wood burner was fabulous, superb heating throughout the house. 5 STAR in cleanliness & everything was provided. Very large Main Bedroom & Ensuite, just superb. Beautiful walled Garden, would be so wonderful in the warmer months. Just a suggestion, probably a few good lovely hooks at the Entry for Coats, there was a shoe rack, but needed a few hooks for big coats & scarfs. Only downside was the Village, was looking forward to many Pub outings as there are 3 Pubs in the Village, was a bit let down, one wasn't that welcoming & quite a foodie $$$ Pub, love...more
Spent most of our stay in the garden enjoying the river view and watching the boats and generally soaking up the atmosphere Comfortable accommodation, easy parking and everything we needed provided. Warm welcome from the owner. Village has good pub food at the Bridge plus handy supermarket and petrol station. Ancient bridge and parkland an added bonus as are the cafe and village buildings / architecture. Close to Warwick and Stratford on Avon. Blue Boar Inn in nearby village very good for food.
Cottage has a very convenient location, five minutes walk to town centre. Visited Blenheim Palace around 40 minutes away, have wanted to visit for years. Found some lovely pubs with fabulous food, great character and good service. Recommend The Eight Bells in Chipping Campden and The Kings Arms at Mickleton. Bellini Italian restaurant have a collection service from their evening menu which was great for us staying with the dog. The parking space was welcomed. It is a characterful cottage, quite charming with the useful log burner but one or two pieces of lounge furniture could do with bein...more
Very tastefully decorated and provided with best quality fixtures and fittings. Parking right outside. Large open plan sitting and kitchen, with everything you could need provided. Small bedrooms but very comfortable beds and good quality bedding. Lovely bathroom, no room for separate shower. We did have a couple of issues, but the owners sorted them efficiently for us and at times that were right for us and while we were out. Very oeaceful with village views, very little light pollution and so quiet you really hear the birds singing. The area is very beautiful, rolling hills, beautiful...more
Cottage excellent in all facilities, kitchen exemplary in terms of appliances & equipment available. It was very cosy. Cottage is fairly remote to the closest village - as described in the instructions provided - so a long walk and back to closest pub & shop. weather quite wet for our stay so most of time [apart from two local walks] drove everywhere. The front room was nice although the radiator never really warmed up unlike others in the cottage. At other times of the year I am sure it would be perfect to be able to use outside space / garden.
We found the house well decorated (it was Christmas), spacious and well set out. All the bedrooms were very well attended. The kitchen had most of the things you need and sharp knives plus space, for when there is more than one cook. The snug was a hit with our grandsons, as they could escape the adults. The surprise was how crowded the village itself was. We had heard it was popular but we expected that to be more for warmer months. Talking to locals quickly dispelled that myth, plus all the people there. Be prepared to queue for most things, including the bridge, and you have to book the ...more
Bay Tree Cottage is a lovey little cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Good location for exploring the Cotswolds. Situated in a lovely village with a good choice of places to eat and drink…or indeed the kitchen is well enough equipped to cook in. The owner Vanessa is very helpful in understanding the local area and making sure everything is as you need in the cottage. Would happily stay again.
A few minor cleanliness issues but overall this cottage was really well kept and it ticks every box . The fire and wood area is so well kept . The location is perfect . It is so comfortable . Apart from the macerator in the downstairs toilet which kicks up a bit of a smell ( but luckily only in the actual toilet and doesn’t seep out much ) it’s all totally beautiful . We would be back again for sure . It’s hard to beat .
Great house , perfec holiday. Area in the Cotswold are wonderful for a unbelieveble holidays. will come back,
We booked this break as part of my wife's 60th birthday celebrations. The cottage, annexe and gardens were lovely. A great location for exploring the Cotswolds and the local pub, a 5 minute walk, was great for having a drink at the end of the day.
Beautiful cottage and reassuring property manager who was on hand if we needed anything. The Fox pub is 2 minutes away and is a must-visit. We will be returning next year.
