Thwaite Hill Barn, Thornthwaite, is an upside-down barn conversion where guests can relax in a peaceful village in the heart of the Lake District, yet the bustling market town of Keswick is just 5 minutes by car. The traditional stone built barn has contemporary furnishings to provide a warm and welcoming home away from home at any time of year. Spend summer evenings relaxing in the garden watching the sun set whilst admiring the views to Skiddaw or snuggle in front of the wood burning stove catching up on the latest film release on chilly winter evenings. With a super king size zip link master bedroom which can convert to twin beds on request (please advise at the time of booking), The second bedroom has a double bed. The family bathroom has a shower over bath and hand basin.
The cottage is ideal for couples or a family looking for a base from which to enjoy the northern lakes with easy access to Keswick, the Newlands Valley, Bassenthwaite and Derwentwater.
The first floor lounge has comfy seating around a Smart TV and wood burning stove. The breakfast kitchen is equipped with everything needed to rustle up an evening meal with electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine and microwave. Gather everyone at the dining table to enjoy meals together or linger with a morning coffee whilst planning your day ahead.
All gas, electric, bed linen, towels and an initial supply of logs provided. Private parking for 1 car. Garden with seating and views to Skiddaw. Sorry this cottage does not accept children under 5 years old.
