Surrounded by woodland and offering picturesque views, it serves as an excellent starting point for countryside escapades with convenient walks right from the doorstep. While access involves several steps, making it less suitable for those with mobility challenges, the cosy lodge itself is all on one level and furnished with everything necessary for a rejuvenating getaway.

Neaum Crag provides woodland trails, a swimming pool with sauna, a table tennis area, and comfortable seating for guest use. Just a brief 5-minute walk away, guests can find a pub offering local ales and the renowned Chester’s Tea Room with a bakery for takeaways.

Electric heating is available throughout the lodge, which boasts an open-plan living area. The well lit lounge has access through French doors to the patio, offers cosy sofas and armchairs arranged in front of a Smart TV. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge with a freezer compartment, and a slimline dishwasher. The dining table, seating four, is perfect for enjoying home-cooked meals or planning the day's adventures over a morning cuppa. The double bedroom includes built-in wardrobes and patio views, while the small bunk bedroom is ideal for children. The contemporary family shower room features a shower cubicle, Bluetooth mirror, hand basin, and WC.

Included in the stay are electricity, bed linen, and towels, along with private parking for two cars. Guests can relax on the patio with table and chairs, access the onsite swimming pool, and utilise the shared laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Neaum Crag Lodges, located near Skelwith Bridge, offer ample walking opportunities right from the lodge. Take leisurely strolls along the River Brathay to Elterwater, where the Britannia Inn awaits with local ales and delectable meals. Ambleside, with its array of shops, bars, restaurants, and attractions, is a picturesque 45-minute walk via Loughrigg Tarn and Loughrigg Fell. A 10-minute walk leads to the "Langdale Rambler" bus route, providing an hourly service for guests to explore the area without relying on their vehicle. Popular destinations like Grasmere, Ambleside, Windermere, and Coniston are a short drive away, offering lake cruises, museums, galleries, and boutique shopping opportunities before returning to the serene ambiance of Neaum Crag.

Beutiful location with a clean and tidy property.

Very well appointed accommodation with wonderful views, a sunny patio and easy access to all towns and villages in the Lake District. However, although it is a short journey by foot into the village, the public pathway is very steep, difficult to walk on and with running water in places. The alternative is the road which is extremely steep and not for the faint hearted.

Thank you for your review and we are pleased you enjoyed your stay at the accommodation. Unfortunately the location of the lodge being in an elevated position does allow for views but does also mean the access to the site is steep which is quite common in most places within the Lake District.
