As the name suggests the cottage is located on the slopes of Little Mell Fell in the Ullswater fells, complete Wainwrights right from your door or wander down to the lake to enjoy watersports. You can even take a leisurely walk along the bridleway to the nearby red deer farm where you can watch them grazing in the fields. The area is a haven for wildlife with red squirrels and birds including a great spotted woodpecker regularly frequenting the garden. The cottage is approached up a driveway with children’s trampoline to the courtyard. The owner lives on site and is on hand to help and advise on the best places to eat and visit to make the most of your stay.
Oozing with character including stone walls, cruick beams, wood burning stove, the upside down style spacious accommodation comprises of a double height beamed lounge with comfy seating around the wood burning stove and Smart TV. The open plan kitchen, dining room is furnished for guests to enjoy time together whilst preparing meals, equipped with electric oven and hob, American style fridge/freezer and microwave. Comfy seating is positioned in front of the TV and large picture windows open out onto the covered balcony with views over the garden to Blencathra. The balcony also has a sunken hot tub with wall mounted TV perfect for unwinding after a days adventure in the lakes. For those looking to touch base with work whilst away, there is a study with desk and wifi. A small gym has a treadmill and weight bench.
The ground floor has a master double bedroom suite perfect for quiet moments away from the group to relax with a book or watch the TV from the seats in front of the doors leading to the patio, a super king size bed promises a restful nights sleep, en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and double vanity unit and dressing room off the bedroom with ample storage. The second double bedroom has a TV and doors leading to the courtyard. Single bedroom with TV. The family bathroom has a shower over bath and hand basin.

Please note whilst the cottage does not accept dogs the owner who lives next door does have dogs kept in the out house.
