Nestled amidst rolling countryside, four charming holiday cottages await, each uniquely styled and brimming with character. These stylish homes, thoughtfully converted from 17th-century farm buildings, offer a tranquil retreat perfect for unwinding and exploring. Imagine yourself strolling through the cobbled courtyard, surrounded by flourishing gardens, and stepping into your own private haven. Each cottage boasts its own private patio or garden with outdoor seating, perfect for al fresco dining, and you'll also have access to a shared garden with strategically placed seating for enjoying the breathtaking views or simply finding some peaceful solitude.

The eco-friendly ethos of the owners ensures a sustainable and stylish stay. Indulge in homemade treats and fresh flowers upon arrival, a warm welcome from the owners who are always on hand to share local tips and recommendations. Enjoy the shared BBQ and laundry facilities. Explore the nearby villages, each with its own inviting pub serving real ales and friendly locals. Discover the beauty of the Eden Valley, with walks right from your doorstep!

Step into a world of romance and relaxation at this charming cottage, built from local sandstone and once a bustling milking parlour. Now, it's a haven for couples seeking a peaceful getaway, no matter the season.

The spacious ground floor is bathed in natural light, creating an airy and inviting open-plan living area. Cosy up on the comfy sofa in the living room, warmed by the crackling fire in the wood-burning stove. Let the melodies from the Roberts Bluetooth radio or CD player fill the air, or catch up on your favourite series on the Smart TV with Netflix. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare delicious meals, featuring an electric oven, gas hob, fridge with a small freezer compartment, and microwave. Linger over breakfast at the dining table, enjoying your morning cuppa while planning your day's adventures. Or, step out onto the patio, where the morning sun will warm you through. The spacious bedroom boasts a king-size bed and an en-suite wet room, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep.

All electric, gas, logs, bed linen, and towels are included. Cot and highchair available upon request. Two medium-sized dogs are welcome. Private patio with garden furniture and mature plants, surrounded by a lawn and stock-fenced for your furry companions. Access to a communal freezer shared between Geltsdale Hows, Hazelrigg, and Inglewood.

We had a lovely time away at Hazelrigg cottage. The accommodation was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed. I particularly liked the guest area and thought it was a great addition to the Howscales site. The hosts have made part of the site accessible for all their cottage users and it included things like leaflets, games, toys, puzzles, a washing machine, drying room and extra food for guests. The food had been left by previous guests and included things like cooking oil, ketchup, tinned food, etc. Our property had a private garden but there was also a wraparound shared outdoor space with its own orchard too. The hosts were thoughtful and welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. They made some yummy shortbread too!
