We wanted somewhere nice to stay while we did a six-day hiking holiday in the Lakes. Grasmere View was an absolutely ideal base. The location and the views of it are idyllic. The cottage is high enough to have a wonderful view of Grasmere and the surrounding peaks but also within five minutes walk of the lake itself and fifteen of the village with its pubs and eateries: it's a real pleasure just sitting in the garden enjoying the view. We walked from the front door on three days and had some great hikes. The furthest we drove was over to Langdale to climb up the stunning Langdale Pikes and the Crinkle Crags and that was only fifteen minutes away. The cottage itself served our purposes very well. Its spacious. The bedroom is very nice. The kitchen is well equipped although it could do with some new saucepans. The location is super quiet and private. When we arrived, there was no Wi-Fi but the owner responded quickly and worked with a friend to get the upstairs rooter running again: downstairs, in the cottage part, it was still a bit patchy, but fine if you sat in the right area. Overall, we'd certainly recommend Grasmere View. It was great for us.

This is our third visit to Grasmere View cottage. It has a great location about a mile from the village along a quiet road. A short walk from the lake which the cottage looks over. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything we need. There was a bit of a hic-up with the cleaning when we got there but after a quick phone call within a half an hour it was sorted. The cottage has its own parking space. We will hopefully be bak soon.
