Had a much needed 5 day break in East Cottage, Walnut Farm, Waxham. It was everything we hoped for. We have an exempt XL Bully and the secure high-fenced (landscaped for us and him) gave us great peace of mind to let him have freedom in the garden. Walks to the beach mapped out on a little welcoming postcard along with walks around the farm. Everywhere was very clean and extremely ‘home from home’ . The Welcoming pack was well-received and enjoyed! If our dog could talk he would say that the owners had definitely thought of his needs too, toys, bowls, treats, lounge rugs and great garden/grounds to explore. 5* from us xx

Wonderful stay with my two dogs at west cottage. It was the dog’s first holibobs and they had a fantastic time. The garden was secure and both dogs had lots of fun and I had peace of mind, which is important to me particularly as I have an exempted dog. Would highly recommend we had a great time despite the rain ☔️ secure paddock was an added bonus. We’ll definitely be booking again.

We enjoyed a fantastic stay here in this fabulous location for exploring all the great things Norfolk has to offer. The house is spacious and the garden was beautiful to sit and relax in and watch all the wildlife coming and going. The site the cottages are located in is very peaceful and quiet and kept very tidy and clean. Our Dog fell in love with the goats (especially Colin - who is very affectionate) which were located just outside our back gate. There are direct walks from the site to the beach and a circular walk by the river that are very pleasant with an abundance of Wildlife to see. This is just what we wanted on this holiday, a place to relax with a spacious garden to sit in and for the dog to roam and sniff. Places we could walk to without having to drive, but also located close enough to other attractions and places we could visit within a short car journey. The owners live on site and can be seen most days tending and maintaining the site and are very happy and friendly to answer any questions you have. There is a reception on site that is open during the day, but also has a contact number if needed out of hours. I can highly recommend a stay here for the peace and tranquility and the great location with lots to see and do all within a short travelling distance.

A wonderful cottage , dogs so happy in enclosed garden ( as we're owners) spotlessly clean , loverly welcome pack , comfy beds , just everything you could want , and more .Lovely location , central for exploring countryside and tucked away beaches.

Beautiful cottage. Superb location on this very quiet, tranquil and serene site. HIGHLY recommend it was well laid out, large enclosed garden and well stocked shop on site. Lovely welcome and welcome pack. Beautiful empty beaches a ten minute walk away and national trust places to visit nearby too.

Very peaceful. We loved the garden, a nice little sun trap. Poppylands cafe, dog friendly and seals on the beach minutes away. Also waxham barns and beach just down the rd We had a lovely time. ThAnkyou

Enjoyed a lovely weekend away at west cottage.

The location was perfect with a nice walk to a very quiet beach which was ideal for the dogs to enjoy a run around without worrying about them running over to people. Beds were really comfy and house and garden was spacious for us and our big dogs. The goodies in the welcome hamper was also nice to arrive to

There were a few things that meant this wasn't my favourite cottage I have stayed in so far. The stairs were very short and steep and not ideal for our dogs who love to sleep in our bedroom with us. We all had to be very careful coming back down the stairs including dogs and adults. The WiFi was also very poor. A fire stick is provided but the network meant nothing would connect. I did leave a voicemail with the owner in case they could rectify but didn't get a call back. In the end I managed to hotspot off my own mobile signal which was frustrating but manageable in the evenings to enjoy a film after a long walk. There were plenty of dvds available for anyone that cannot do this. We also struggled to find the charger for the hoover so struggled to keep the space clean from the dogs.

The small things that would have made this better include the oven which could do with a good clean. A foot stall would also have made the room comfier for 4 adults (but perhaps I am too spoilt at places like Dormy).

Overall however, we had a lovely trip away and I would recommend the cottage to others, especially given the location is remote but easy access to all of our favourite spots.

Hi Kimberley Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay overall. We totally understand that the steep stairs can be a bit of a challenge —our charming old farmhouse does have its quirks! As for the Wi-Fi, we know it can be a bit spotty in our peaceful countryside and seaside haven. All part of the charm of being tucked well away from the hustle and bustle! Regarding the hoover, we apologize for any inconvenience. It was a stand in replacement for the normal one that needed repairs. We're always working to keep everything in tip-top shape. We hope to welcome you back for another stay and hopefully you’ll find more to love about our lovely coastal cottages.

Perfect cosy cottage at the back of a farm that offers camping and pitches. Easy to get to Horsey to see the seals and I discovered more wonderful tearooms!
Woodburner was fantastic addition, but the cottage was nice and warm anyway. Garden is huge for a semi detached cottage! Thank you for having us.
