We chose Thatched Cottage as it was in an area where we hadn't stayed before, and it is predominantly on 1 level , as we have an elderly Goldie. It was a perfect choice, from the lovely welcome pack for 2 and 4 legged guests, to a warm welcome from the owner when we arrived, The cottage was very comfortable, and had most things we needed. We had mixed weather, but did manage to sit in the lovely garden on 3 out of he 4 evening with glass of wine. Thatched cottage provided the R&R we were after. Wroxham has lots of dog friendly cafes, etc, where our dog go very spoilt.

We had a wonderful stay at Thatched Cottage. It is spotlessly clean and so cosy and comfortable. Everything our dog may have required was also thought of. Dog basket, blankets, bowls, treats and poo bags
The welcome basket that was left for us was very much appreciated and catered for both us humans and our lovely dog. as it included a bottle of doggy beer! Unfortunately ours has a very delicate stomach so I thought it would be wise to not indulge him! but it was a wonderful thought. Paul, the owner met us at the property and was very helpful with lots of advice regarding places to go.

The huge front garden was great for walking our elderly spaniel around if he needed to go out , as he preferred that to the rear garden which was shingled.
The cottage is only a short walk to the town and we enjoyed walking down to the restaurants, shops and local pubs by the river.
Such a great relaxing stay.

From the moment we pulled up to the Thatched Cottage, we knew we'd found somewhere truly special – and our dog, Smudge, agreed! After two stays here Smudge thinks the Thatched Cottage is his! This particular stay here exceeded all our expectations and made for one of the most relaxing and enjoyable holidays we've ever had.
The cottage itself is simply stunning. The photos honestly don't do it justice – it's even more charming and beautifully presented in person. Every detail has been thought of, from the cozy interiors to the incredibly well-equipped kitchen.

But what truly made our trip exceptional was the genuine consideration for our furry friend. The welcome pack wasn't just for us; it included thoughtful treats and even bowls for Smudge. As we were celebrating 1-year since we rescued Smudge, Paul and Lisa treated him and us to a voucher to Wroxham hotel and a bottle of special doggy beer for Smudge.

The location is also perfect for dog owners. We enjoyed countless long walks, exploring beautiful nearby beaches and country trails.

After our adventurous days, coming back to the comfort of Thatched Cottage was pure bliss. Paul made sure that the hot tub was ready for us to use.

Both Paul and Lisa were incredibly thoughtful and responsive, ensuring our stay was seamless from start to finish. It's clear they understand what dog owners are looking for in a holiday, and they've truly created a "home from home" experience.
If you're looking for a truly exceptional dog-friendly getaway, look no further than Thatched Cottage. We're already going back here in two months time!

We have just returned from a fab week staying at Thatched Cottage, feeling relaxed and looking forward to staying again!
Paul was there on arrival and showed us around his beautiful cottage; the photos are amazing but real life is even better!
You are provided with everything you need (Paul even bought sun beds as the weather forecast was so good). Lovely welcome pack and even treats for Watson, our Dalmatian, as well. The hot tub is a must; so relaxing to come back to after long walks along the beautiful nearby beaches. Watson loved the huge garden, which has sun, front and back, all day.
Shops, restaurants, lovely pubs along the river, all within walking distance.
Thatched Cottage really does have everything, and more, you could possibly need for a truly relaxing holiday. We even looked to see if we could stay another week!

5 stars really isn't enough for the beautiful Thatched Cotsge. A home from home, - a peaceful oasis but within walking distance of all the facilities you could need on holiday.
Picture perfect on the outside and incredibly comfortable and welcoming on the inside. Everything you could need is there and the hot tub really is the icing on the cake! Perfect after all those long dog walks.
The dogs were incredibly well catered for with throws for the sofa, treats, a toy box and the most fabulous garden for zoomies! They felt instantly at home!
Paul the owner was wonderful - welcomed us on arrival and showed us where everything was and then checked regularly to make sure we had everything we needed as well as maintaining the hot tub.
A week really wasn't long enough so we will definitely have to come back!

Thank you Paul and Lisa for making us so welcome.

The cottage was perfect providing everything we needed and more. It was the ideal place for a relaxing break for both us and the dogs and the goodies were very much appreciated and the hot tub was the icing on the cake.
It was perfectly clean and well equipped and the garden was just beautiful and relaxing with so many areas to sit with the boys and watch the world go by as the weather was great, and the enclosed rear garden was perfect for the boys to wander around freely.
The cottage isn’t just dog friendly it’s dog welcoming as you have thought of everything for the them, from crates, throws for the sofa, towels, mud daddy (luckily we didn’t need it), toys and bowls and the they loved the doggy treats.
The location is ideal just a short walk into the village with lovely shops and cafes/takeaways and a short drive to some lovely dog friendly beaches. We even saw hundreds of seals which was an amazing sight.
We enjoyed our stay so much we didn’t want to leave.

I wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks for the wonderful stay we had at Paul and Lisa’s charming cottage. It was the perfect getaway, and we truly appreciated the warm hospitality you provided.

Our rescue pup Smudge had an amazing time and clearly celebrated his birthday in luxury. The cottage was incredibly pet-friendly, and it was such a relief to find a place where Smudge was so welcome. The thoughtful touches, like the dog bed and treats, made our stay even more special. And what a generous hamper for us! Thank you.

The cottage itself was cozy and well-equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We particularly enjoyed the comfy and very stylish lounge, well equipped kitchen, everything was spotless and it made the day so much more enjoyable. It was a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.

Thank you once again for making our stay so memorable. We look forward to returning really soon, maybe in a month or so, and will certainly recommend your lovely cottage to our friends and family.

Absolutely beautiful cottage, Paul couldn’t do enough for us. Was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the space was amazing. Everything you needed was there and Paul was only a text away if we needed anything. The hot tub was a lovely way to end a day of dog walking at different locations and it’s only a couple of minutes walk into Wroxham. We had a fantastic time and would love to return.

We absolutely LOVED our short break at Thatched Cottage. The owners had thought of everything, and it was so clean, warm, welcoming and very well equipped. The dog beds and bowls were really useful. Huge comfy sofa, very comfortable bed, excellent shower, and the hot tub was just the icing on the cake. Very private and secure back garden, huge front garden perfect for non-escapee dogs! Great location with Roy’s of Wroxham a short walk away and some great eating places. 20 minute drive to the dog friendly beaches! Very highly recommend this lovely cottage and would love to come back. Thank you!
