A cosy, fully equipped self-catering apartment in the heart of Jersey’s countryside,Hamptonne is a beautifully restored farm with a collection of thatched granite houses, stables and meadows. The Stable Apartment is one of two well-appointed apartments which has been lovingly restored with low- hanging wooden beams in the open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area. The apartment provides a comfortable space for the whole family to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. There is one snug double bedroom and one bunk room with two single beds, both overlooking the north courtyard and thatched roofs.

We enjoyed our stay at stable apartment. It’s a great location, fantastic for children - a great entry level for animal contact and farm life. The staff were very friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. Mattresses are a little soft which can be uncomfortable if you prefer a firm bed.

We rate the stay as a 100%. We loved the wake up call from the chickens in the morning. Everyone was friendly and appeared to enjoy their work. The site is brilliant if you want to spend time out in nature with so much to see and explore. To find the inner child and awe again.

Only suggestion please could you put in a tray so as to take early morning coffee outside to the tables. Our grandson thought the bed was too hard on bottom bunk but no other issues at all.
We want to return in the autumn.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was lovely waking up in the morning and being able to walk round the farm and see the animals. Be warned the cocks start crowing very early in the morning so if you are a very light sleeper you might want earplugs but it was no problem for us. The apartment is very clean and well laid out.

Was a wonderful stay at Hamptonne. Felt as though you weren’t really in Jersey and was incredibly unique to be in an apartment within an enclosed farm complex.

Beautiful location and a timeless stay made really memorable by all the delightful chickens and their chicks as well as the resident pig. I’m only hoping being a vegetarian that they don’t end up on someone’s plate. Really interested in the history as I have Jersey roots that go back generations. Thoroughly recommend Stable apartment.

Wer kann schon von sich behaupten, in einem Museum geschlafen zu haben? Die Unterkunft ist schön gelegen mit kurzen Wegen quer über Jersey. Der Parkplatz ist auf dem normalen Besucherparkplatz. Die Wohnung gut eingerichtet mit allem was man braucht. Es ist ein Erlebnis abends noch in Ruhe die Tiere zu verabschieden oder den Spielplatz zu nutzen.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hamptonne and would recommend it. The location is superb for exploring Jersey. The apartment was perfect for our needs. We especially enjoyed the freedom of the grounds after hours and making friends with the chickens. The staff and volunteers were particularly helpful and friendly, suggesting the best places to visit. A great place to stay!

Lovely staff

We were not informed about a huge chicken shed behind the property. 100s of birds.

Woken from (times and frequency of noise vary) from 3.15am and kept awake till about 6am every morning from very loud and incessant cockerel cries and chicken clucking.

Unfortunately this put a damper on the holiday.
Some cleanliness and maintenance issues, but overall we went with it and had a great holiday.

A lovely apartment perfect for a couple and two children (in bunks). Well equipped and cleanly. Watch out for the low beams if you are over six foot! Very special to sleep on site once all the visitors had left. Our girls loved feeding the animals with Warren in the morning. Warren really went the extra mile to make the stay special for them.

We had a very nice time at both apartments that we hired: stable barn and cider barn.
Staff was very friendly, the apartment was well kept and we felt very welcome. There is a nice lunchplace in the museum where the apartments are located. We would definitely return if possible and when we are at Jersey again.
Location is perfect. It is a nice place to start biketrips from. All corners of the island are on a good distance.

Wonderful staff and charming surroundings steeped in history. Paradise for the children with animals everywhere, quirky buildings to explore and an adventure playground.

Great apartment. One suggestion - please apply the same padding treatment to the low oak beam in the kitchen/lounge area as has been done elsewhere. Two of us hit our heads quite badly on a number of occasions.

Highly recommend Hamptonne as a magical place to stay. Thank you.

I can't fault this place as a lovely place to stay.
You need your own transport though and watch your head on the beams if your more than 5 foot 2.

This is overpriced for what it is - we have paid much less for larger self-catering properties with pools / games rooms etc. Beautifully decorated and equipped (excellent shower!) although some additions would be useful to aid functionality for guests eg. Fish Slice, a little shelf and mirror in the bedrooms (possible over the radiator), more rails to hang towels from and a bathroom cabinet - not very hygienic to have toothbrushes right next to a toilet! Clean enough - although I wouldn't have missed the cobwebs on the walls had I been cleaning it and the beds and sofa need hoovering under occasionally. Television reception was awful so thankful we had brought a box set along. Very noisy early in the morning with the building works (not acceptable as not told about until after we had booked), farm (which can't be helped) and staff opening up and shouting across the courtyard. Fine for families with younger children but not if you fancy a leisurely morning routine whilst on holiday. There is a frog trail starting from the footpaths at Hamptonne - it would be nice to have had a map / information on this within the cottage pack.

We loved our stay at Hamptonne, the flat was well appointed and comfortable, all items provided were of a very good standard. Bread butter milk washing up and cleaning products were provided inc dishwasher tablets. In such warm weather we were glad that we were in a cool stone building and on the first floor for the breeze, a fan was also provided.
The on site staff were very helpful, it was great to have the place to ourselves each evening!

Some suggestions to make it perfect - more glasses, cups and cutlery would be good as there's a full size dishwasher to fill. There's no clothes washing machine? During our stay the broadband was unreliable, no chance of TV streaming or WiFi calls, this was reported so hopefully fixed for the next visitors.

We chose this let as it offered the best value for money for three adults. Two sharing the bunk beds and one double room. The rooms are small but perfectly ok. You are only in there to sleep after all. The bunks are fine for small adults but anyone tall would struggle. I wouldn't recommend this let for anyone very tall as there are low beams in the bathroom and lounge but aside from that the ceilings are high as it in the loft of a stable block. The apartment is well fitted out with a kitchen comprising all the usual necessities. Beds are very comfortable and the apartment was the right temperature even when it was raining and when it was hot. A wonderful central location with easy access to most of the island and lovely walks in the area. You do need a car really. Not sure where the nearest bus stop is. Hopefully we can go again soon.

The location of the Stable Barn is centrally situated on the Island, giving very good access to all attractions within a short space of time which is essential for holidays to get the best results.
The Barn itself has got everything you need for a comfortable stay, & the staff are full of useful information about Jersey & places not to miss & recommend.
