Lime Kiln is a two storey barn conversion, with a spacious open plan living and kitchen area, two bedrooms (a queen size bed and a single) and an enclosed garden. The bathroom includes an over bath power shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a dining table which comfortably seats four, and two double sofas.

My family and I had a lovely stay of 4 weeks at the cottage.
The entire team on site were incredibly helpful and attentive, the grounds were amazing with a lovely sunset to be seen from the garden.
Downstairs was very spacious with lots of room for the dog and baby. Upstairs slightly on the small side, but functional.

The staff and the whole farm were welcoming hospitality and went out of their way to help and sort out any questions asked.
Would recommend any section of the farm to anyone. Young and old alike.

We spent a couple of weeks in Lime Kiln whist our house was being renovated. Lime Kiln is in a corner of the farmyard so you can park right outside. The open plan living area is light, airy and the back door opens onto a lovely terrace and grassy area with views of the farm and the Chiltern Hills. It is especially lovely in the afternoons as it gets the sunshine.
Although Lime Kiln is a little dated, it’s spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped too. The upstairs bedrooms have velux-style windows but are surprisingly light and airy.
The Town Farm staff are welcoming and very helpful, I can’t recommend this place enough!

Very pleasant cottages which we stayed in whilst having renovation work done at our house. The property covered all of our needs and the team at Town Farm were extremely helpful with any issues or questions we had.

Thank you to the team.

Our third stay at Town Farm Cottages so we must like it! First time staying in Lime Kiln but found it to be like the other cottages ......fully equipped with everything you could possibly need...... Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Tumble Dryer, Hob/Oven, Fridge Freezer, Wifi, TV/DVD. Spotlessly clean, sturdy furniture and well maintained. Patio and garden to rear which unfortunately had about 4 inches of snow when we were there so it didn't get a lot of use but would be marvelous in the warmer months.

Well equipped cottage, had slight doubts about being part of 16 other properties but it was not a problem, all the kitchen equipment worked well.Garden out back was a definite plus given the excellent weather we had!
One slight observation if table and chairs could have been provided instead of an uncomfortable picnic bench it would have been perfect!

The only local option for short term rent, I’d be disappointed if I chose to holiday here tho :-(

We rented for three months whilst we had some building works done, I gather many of the residents are there for similar reasons.

As there is a lack of short term rental properties in the area, Town Farm was getting on for our only choice. For the job it served us, as a stop gap without great expectations, it was adequate. It had a play lark for kids and the location/surrounding countryside and views are lovely.

However if I’d paid similar money expecting a lovely holiday cottage for a holiday, I’d leave fairly disappointed. The fixtures and fittings were of fairly cheap standard and the cleanliness wasn’t of a very high standard. What appeared to be a few years of food crumbs etc remained down the side of the oven, whilst one cupboard housed a spider’s web complete with dozens of babies. The toilet was of a design that ensured the bathroom smelt of urine after a day’s use, no matter how clean you were.

This all being said, the staff were pleasant enough, and on that fact alone I guess I would consider staying again. In almost every other area though, I would investigate other options further.

This Cottage has a very good view and looks out across a small garden area to a field and towards the Chiltern Hills. Although the field is part of the camp site tents were far away and were not a problem. The staff and owners are very pleasant and helpful.

The Accomodation was well presented, clean and spacious. It is close enough to visit relatives in Dunstable easily as well as travelling around to many other locations such as Oxford and Windsor. Easy access with no fuss.

My family and I are local and stayed at lime Kiln as we were having work done to our house. The staff and owners were very friendly and the cottage was amply equipped for our needs. During the summer bank holidays (peak time) the cottage was quiet, sheltered from the camp site, comfortable and had some great views and outdoor space. Also the evening hog roast and marbled meats food was great. We stayed for 8 weeks and would highly recommend the property for locals seeking a short term let or holiday goers.
