Heatheryhaugh lodges are a hidden gem in the countryside, but just a couple of minutes, by car, from the centre of Moffat.
We stayed for a week in lodge 4 which was clean, comfortable and spacious. We found that while there wasn't an overabundance of kitchen crockery, etc there was everything needed. The only thing missing was a dishwasher and really we managed fine without one. The grounds are lovely, with the only sounds being the bird song and the shallow river. As we pulled up to Lodge one the bird song, the trees and shrubs were so beautiful and a world away from the hustle and bustle of home, I even started to cry. We could see this was going to be the perfect getaway for some much needed rest and relaxation.
The personalised note from Lydia and Ben and the delicious shortbread was a lovely welcome and the bungalow was decorated beautifully and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
