The COACH HOUSE master bedroom has a king-size double bed with deluxe en-suite shower room. There is also a new, deluxe, family bathroom. In addition, there are two single beds in the bunk room plus a king-size double in the gallery and the cottage also has a folding single bed. The kitchen is new with granite worktops, under floor heating and American style fridge/freezer. We have installed a new (biomass) wood burning stove in the lounge and the cottage has been given a GOLD award by the Tourist Board.

Really helpful hosts and a beautiful property set in a lovely location. The welcome pack on arrival was much appreciated as was the flexibilty of the hosts to allow a change of some of the guests part way through the stay. Considering we were staying in peak season the many lovely walks in the vicinity were nice and quiet. Really couldn't fault the property and I would imagine that in the winter with the biomass boiler running it would be very nice and warm. Also plenty of hot water which is important with 6 adults sharing. The only very minor negative point I would give as feedback would be to try and provide a few softer pillows and maybe update the towels which were a bit old and scratchy. Otherwise the cottage was well equiped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay.

A truly beautiful location - absolutely stunning. The house is very clean, nicely appointed and beds comfortable. The only downside was having to strip the beds when you leave.
Thoroughly recommend for a weekend away with friends

This is a lovely place to stay. The views are stunning. The owners have thought of everything to make our stay just perfect. The house is warm, comfortable and clean, and suited our 3 generation family. Use of bikes to explore the area and a hot tub if required. Plenty of places and pubs to visit nearby. In fact the house was just perfect. We hope to return. Thank you Liz and Chris.

We had the most wonderful time at the Coach House - the home is spacious, warm, cosy and clean, and had everything that we needed for our stay. The hot tub area is lovely and the water stayed hot all evening. The location is absolutely stunning with lots of lovely walks on the doorstep, as well as pubs and a tea room that you can walk to along the way. Chris and Liz were ever so accommodating and added those little extra touches that made our stay feel special. Thank you for a lovely weekend - we hope to be back soon!

The weather when we arrived was appalling so the lit stove warming the living room was very welcome. The Coach House is immaculate with everything you could possibly need and the most comfortable beds we had slept in for years.
The view when the storm cleared was fabulous - even more so when enjoying it from the hot tub with a glass of champagne. All in all a wonderful house in a beautiful location with attentive and helpful hosts.

The Coach House is the largest of the accommodations at Swainsley Cottage. Well appointed and comfortable with all provided that one could want.
There are plenty of walks straight from the cottage (the owner Chris has plenty of suggestions and the maps to go with them) - as well as direct access to the Manifold Trail - for cycling as well as walking.
Country pubs abound with good food and excellent English ales - and tea shops of course.
Also just a short drive to Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Jodrell Bank - as well as Alton Towers - i.e. something for everyone.

An excellent and very scenic location for walking, cycling, exploring the Peak District or simply relaxing in the garden. The Coach House is comfortable and well equipped for self-catering and there are pubs and tea rooms a short walk away. The owners were welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in The Coach House - the accommodation is well thought out, very clean and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The owners were super friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and they made my son feel very special on his birthday. A beautiful location especially ideal for walkers or those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

We took my wife away for her 40th as a surprise, this cottage was the perfect dream get away from the hustle and bustle of London!
The views are outstanding, the hot tub in the morning with snow on the horizon and sun peeping through is an experience we will never forget.
The owners were so nice and accommodated all our needs above and beyond!
Highly recommend this little hidden beauty in the peaks!
