Lane End Cottage is perfectly nestled in the picturesque village of Casterton, offering stunning views of the golf course. This charming property is the ideal family holiday home.

Overall a great stay, beautiful property inside and out. Some small adjustments needed

Overall it was a great stay. The house was incredibly clean, the garden was beautiful and the finish was excellent. The boot room was a gorgeous room and the views from the house really sold it to us.

However, there were a few things that let it down for us. We booked this property before it had photos, when the photos were released a month later they placed a 10% off charge for any bookings to the new property. I emailed about this, yet I didn’t receive even an acknowledgment of an email. It was not a good first impression.
Some small changes would make the house more useable.
Fridge - too small. We were 5 adults staying for 3 nights. We had packed all of our food and drink for the weekend. The fridge was too small to store this food. Therefore we had to keep food and all of the drinks in a cool box. This really let it down for us as most of drinks were barely cold. There is ample room in the boot room for a drinks fridge.
Hot tub towels - each guest only had one large towel for both showering and using the hot tub. This was not ideal and we often had wet towels.
Dressing gowns - nice touch. However more than half were dirty when we got there with large brown stains. May be worth looking at them before putting them back out.
Smell - the living room had an awful smell. We therefore did not use it. As a result there was not enough seating on the white sofas.
Oven - again great touch if you can use it. We tried to read the instruction manual but it was too much. A quick summary that you could provide would help other quests. It took over 1.5 hours to cook some sausages or warm a dish through that we brought.

We did have a great stay, I do not think we would book this particular property again as the lack of fridge space and oven made the weekend less relaxing. However, if these were to be resolved we would definitely be back.

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful house which was kitted out to an exceptionally high standard. Perfect for a family holiday or to go away with friends. Lovely, well kept garden, super comfy beds, high spec kitchen - what’s not to love! We’ll definitely be back.
