At a quick two minute walk to the beach, this stylish and immaculately presented property is a hidden gem. The Rife is tucked away on a quiet lane, adjacent to the stream that gives it its name, and is also only a five minute walk to the village shops and cafes.

The Rife is great for families and friends wanting a laid back, high-quality stay with surf, sea, beach and nature on the doorstep.

Rife was an excellent holiday home. Plenty of space for all 8 of us with great facilities. The property is so well equipped and maintained. Outside is equally impressive with lawn, decking and an area of concrete for perfectly save BBQ's. It's proximity to both the sea and shops another great asset. We have already booked the property for 2026, and as far as I'm concerned would like to continue for many years to come!!

Another visiit for our large family (6 grandchildren 8 mths to 13 yrs) and it worked very well for them all. Plenty of chairs and beds. We needed an Air BnB near by as otherwise the house would have been overcrowded but that worked well too.

Perfect holiday home and location for a family holiday of 4 generations.
Quiet, enclosed rear garden ideal for relaxing, playing games and dining on the decked area.
Excellent prompt response from Baileys when a minor water leak and electricity fault was detected. Engineer arrived within the hour and quickly resolved the issue.
We thoroughly recommend this property and plan to return again next year.

The Rife is a very well maintained and equipped house which worked very well for our annual multi generation seaside time. The bedroom configuration was helpful, with downstairs rooms set away from any noise in the living area.
Distance from the beach (not 2 minutes, however quickly you walk) a little inconvenient for those lugging windsurfing and surfing equipment, but we managed.

We had been looking for a holiday home rental in winter capable of taking three generations of our family without everyone getting under each other's feet.
The Rife was ideal for this. Upstairs accommodated two parents and two grandchildren and the downstairs bedrooms for our son and daughter.
Everyone had a bedroom and easily accessible bathroom and with the beach only 400 yards away grandchildren could get down in 5-10 minutes.
Very modern accommodation with excellent services.
West Wittering has many good restaurants within 10-15 minutes travel so a good time was had by all

This was our second visit to The Rife and hopefully we shall return next year. The house is very well heated and comfortable throughout, making it a perfect venue for a winter break. East Wittering shops are great and can cater for all your needs. Baileys, the agents, are particularly helpful. Great house and wonderful location.

A very comfortable, well equipped holiday home in a great location. Easy walking distance to the beach and local shops. Perfect for a family get-together and it's great that dogs are allowed too. This was our third visit and we will almost certainly come again.

Ideal location for out grandchildren and the beach. Dog friendly garden.

All issues sorted quickly as possible.

Could there be summer weight duvets as very hot in upstairs rooms.

latch to garden gate would be helpful rather that having to secure it with a flower pot.

Will visit again as long as grandchildren want too.

We had a great stay at The Rife. Excellent in every way, convenient for the shops and the beach. A comfy cot would have been welcome although the hired travel cot was excellent. A safe garden and all the little extra touches added even more enjoyment and we have booked for next year.

Had a great time at the Rife. The accommodation was perfect for ourselves, 2 daughters, husbands and 3 grandchildren. The garden was excellent for entertaining and playing. The only downside was the beds were a bit too firm for our liking. It was well equipped even down to little items such as dishwasher and washing machine tablets. The 2 fridges and freezers were ideal for catering for a large family. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We have certainly stayed in better holiday homes, but it was comfortable. It was lucky that the weather was warm or the duvets wouldn't have kept us warm, they are too small for the beds.
A large family of spiders were sharing the cupboard with the freezer, it looked like a prop from a horror movie.
It is very well equipped, and we had a great time, especially as the location is spot-on.

Overall we were very happy with the accommodation and the service from the agent. We would happily book again. The house was in very good condition, homely and very well equipped. Our only very small gripe was that some of the oven trays might have been cleaner but this is only a very small matter and have already recommended The Rife to some friends.

A very well equipped bungalow in a convenient location for both village centre and beach.The beach was pebbly closest to the house but became sandy after 25 mins walk. Our group ranged in age from 6 months to 60 years and there was something for everyone and plenty of space for all. The garden was well fenced and had lovely furniture too. West wittering was an excellent base from which to explore the coastal path.

This is the second year we’ve stayed at The Rife. Great location, short stroll to the beach and all the amenities as well. Well set out house and well equipped. We chose it as my father needs a ground floor bedroom so it works perfectly with a large en suite shower room. We took our two dogs and they were very happy. Garden a good size and outside dining, seating and some sun beds. We had a really super week. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this holiday let.

We had the perfect week away staying at The Rife. We were a group of four adults, two teenagers, two small children, a baby and a dog. The house is so spacious there was plenty of room for us all. Our only complaint was the weather!

Loved this house! It's ideally located and very well laid out for our large family of all ages (18 mths - 65 years). The open plan living, dining, kitchen worked perfectly as it allowed for us all to socially flow together all weekend. There were also great little extras such as a Nespresso machine which all added to the experience.
It's a shame that the bedrooms only have double beds rather than kingsize ones, especially given the ample space in all the bedrooms. With the men in our family averaging around 6ft, bedtime wasn't as comfortable as it could have been.
An additional fridge would also benefit the property as we did struggle cramming food and drink for 10 people staying 3 nights into 2 small under counter fridges. Thankfully the outside covered seating area worked well as a back up but we would have struggled in the warmer / summer months.
Overall though, the house was clean, beautifully presented and well laid out and so I would recommend it and Baileys estate agent to anyone who wants to stay in this gorgeous area.

We had a lovely stay at The Rife. The house was very comfortable and well equipped. We had older members who were pleased with the ground floor accommodation especially the walk in showers and our teens who could pop to the beach and into the village. The dog was happy too! Highly recommended!

We were really pleased with the location (4 minutes walk from the beach) and the house itself. It fitted our needs well. very spacious downstairs with lots of room for different activities. The kitchen is well equipped, with 2 fridge and 2 freezers!! The water was excellent whist we were there and we spent a lot of time making use of the garden. The garden table , chairs and loungers were particularly appreciated.. All in all a very lovely stay.

We’ve had a lovely relaxing break here. Very well laid out home with a huge amount of storage space. A bit lacking in kitchen equipment. Could do with a casserole and serving dishes and a smaller frying pan/ omelet pan?
. For all of us the mattresses were a bit on the firm side. We had to ask the letting agents for a non down duvets for one family member who was allergic to feathers. But for the rest of us they were lovely!
The position was ideal for both the beach and the town for shopping and eating. No need to use the car for all of our stay which is a real treat. We enjoyed all the wildlife from the little stream over the fence. The family of ducks were delightful!
Cannot fault Baileys the letting agents. They were lovely!

We stayed in this lovely house over May bank holiday weekend.

My husband and I and my two daughters are there families.

The living space is amazing, the kitchen brilliantly kitted out with everything that we needed. even had three fridges and two freezers which is something that is often forgotten when houses sleep lots of people.The heating was under floor and was so adjustable it was brilliant, and we had thermostats in every room.

The up stairs area was beautiful and the bedrooms and bathroom were lovely.

My only criticism is the three bedrooms downstairs, one is a single and is very small, and the two doubles are very nice rooms but only have double beds not king size. Not everyone would find that a problem but we did, saying that, the beds were very comfortable.

We love the Wittering's and we could walk to the shops and the sea.

Our stay at this beautiful house was out of this world, the decor and layout is fantastic, close to village shops /cafes and 5 mins from the beach. Truly magical beautiful Home .

A lovely house which is great for three generations with a sheltered garden for windy days. Easy walk to beach and shops.

Well equipped, good size family house with loads of space and showers for 8 adults. 3 minutes walk from East Wittering main street, and 3 minutes to beach.
Kitchen is exceptional with great storage, fridges, freezers, and equipment. Great laundry also.

Large lawn and lovely deck area.

Ample off-street parking.

Main shower room is beautiful.

Would love to return and would love to live in a house like this permanently!

Had a small query when we arrived and Baileys responded within minutes. Very good service.
