Tamarisk cottage is situated in a fabulous position with sweeping views across the Solent towards the Isle of Wight, across the coast and overlooking Bookers Green. This wonderful position is only 5 minutes away from the village centre where shops and cafes are a plenty.

A group of four friends annual trip to The Witterings didn’t disappoint, especially with the benefit of amazing weather for November. Sadly most of the mattresses need replacing, which caused sleepless nights, apart from that a great house and hope to return next year (with hopefully new mattresses)

We’ve stayed here before and it’s just perfect in every way.
A fantastic beach-front position, close to everything, plenty of parking and so well furnished and equipped.
There’s everything you need for a lovely holiday and we’ll be back.

The only problems are the windows. The wood has rotted and difficult to get them on the latch as they are lifting. Worried the windows would slam shut.
Great supply of everything needed in the kitchen.
Stayed here over 23 years ago and twice recently and will return next year

Just love this place, this is our second visit with the family. The location is perfect, out of the garden gate, across a small green area and you are on the beach. My daughter in law sat on a bench on the green with her breakfast every morning taking in the stunning sea view and across to the Isle of Wight.
Really can't fault anything about this place.
East Wittering is very nice too, a lovely array of shops selling nearly everything you could possibly need and also places to eat and drink all within walking distance.
Very frequent bus service into Chichester and lots of lovely country walks.

Tamarisk Cottage is in a great position. Close to village shops and cafes.
On the seafront with direct access to the beach from the rear garden. The rear garden backs onto Bookers Green.

The House was lovely but noticed some window frames were rotten.

I had a mobility scooter & it was difficult getting out the back gate as the ground was uneven.

An annual trip to East Wittering with 4 girlfriends, but first time at Tamarisk Cottage, cannot recommend it enough - absolutely perfect for our needs, will definitely be booking again.

We absolutely loved this cottage. Right on the beach, easy to walk everywhere and easy parking for up to three cars.
Very thoughtfully equipped with practically everything you would need for a most comfortable stay.
Whoever owns the house has really gone to a lot of trouble to make it a home from home.
Will definitely go back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tamarisk. It is very much a comfortable family holiday cottage rather than one of the swanky renovated properties being built along the seafront! But having stayed in both types, we definitely preferred this one for a Wittering family holiday. The property was clean and comfortable, although a few repairs are needed to some aspects such as the windows in some places. The view from the two front bedrooms is absolutely wonderful. The only thing that would have improved our stay would have been to have had an ensuite bathroom upstairs. Just having the one upstairs bathroom for three bedrooms was a bit tight when everyone was trying to use it at once. There is a downstairs shower room and loo though but we didn't want to go downstairs at night! The location was fabulous and you can just go straight out to the seafront or pop round the corner to cafes and shops. Overall we loved our stay and have already booked our next visit!

We had a lovely week at Tamarisk cottage. Would have been helpful to have a key to go out back door to beach and somewhere secure to put surfboards etc. but apart from that wonderful week.

We had a wonderful stay at Tamerisk Cottage for our family holiday. There is plenty of parkiing for at least 4/5 cars. The back garden opens up onto a green and then you are literally on the beach, location was excellent. The cottage is well equipped with crockery, cutlery and everything else you might need my only quip would be that there were not enough flat baking trays to heat pizzas etc for a large group.
The cubicle in the downstairs shower was very slippery when wet, almost to the point of being lethal so we purchased a rubber bath mat for our own safety which I left behind.
There are shops, pub, restaurants, fish shack and ice cream kiosk just a short walk away, everything you could possibly need for your stay.
Our only disappointment was that there was no Welcome Pack not even a bottle of milk in the fridge or a few tea/coffee bags so you could make yourself a drink on arrival, first cottage in 20 years of holidays that we have had absolutely nothing left. I think this could be improved upon.

Baileys do not provide welcome packs in any of our holiday homes, and if you stay at one of our holiday homes that does provide a welcome pack, then it has been placed there by the owners who may live locally. We enjoyed our stay with our family. We had the upstairs bedroom with the most comfiest bed! And how lovely to have the view of the sea. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The only negative would be, the upstairs bathroom could do with being updated, especially the small shower which was a bit of a challenge for my husband as he's 6' and broad shouldered. It's a brilliant location, and lovely just to walk thru the back gate to the beach. Also the village is so near to just walk round the corner to. Already planning to return next year.

We enjoyed this well equipped house, with thoughtful extras. The throws were lovely, the pictures so suitable and to be able to sit up in bed and watch the waves break was a such a treat.
