Fairhaven is in a gorgeous position overlooking the Booker Green greensward, the shoreline and the sea. The property has direct beach access and its south-facing sun balcony has glorious sweeping views across the Solent and along the coast. If this isn't enough, it is also a quick walk to East Wittering village centre for the shops and cafes.

We have been returning to Fairhaven for several years. We are already planning to return in 2026.
Sleeping accommodation and bathrooms on both levels. Which for us is great.
Great position overlooking Booker Green.
Upstairs gives sweeping views of the solent and the Isle of Wight.

Our first stay in this lovely house, the views from the upstairs lounge & balcony are amazing & the location is perfect looking out to sea & not far from the local shops. There is plenty of parking & a lovely garden to the front & the back. The owners take care of this property & it is spotlessly clean, there were even fresh roses in a vase to welcome us. We will definitely be returning next year.

Another wonderful stay at Fairhaven with the family. Always feels like home from home. Absolutely love the property and its location. Love the annual chat with Ann. Very slightly disappointed with a couple of cleanliness issues, e.g. the downstairs bathroom sink had not been cleaned before our arrival. Very minor issues and only noticed because the property is usually spotless when we arrive. Have already booked for next year.

This property is all about the location. It is right on the coast and has a great green between it and the sea.
Walking distance to the shops and restaurants in East Wittering.
Really, there's no need to use the car. In the week we were in Fairhaven, we only took the car out twice. Once to the Chichester parkrun and the other time to go to a restaurant further a field.

Having stayed at the Witterings at least twice a year for the past 25 years and tried lots of different properties, Fairhaven is my favourite.
The flexible accommodation, the perfect location, the home from home comforts, the friendly and caring host, the parking, the outside space..... the list goes on and on.

Overlooking the Booker Green , the shoreline and the sea. Fairhaven has direct beach access and its south-facing sun balcony has glorious sweeping views across the Solent and a great place to sit and relax. It is also a short walk to East Wittering village centre with the shops and cafes.

This is at least our fourth year of visiting Fairhaven as an extended family.
My cousin is a wheelchair user, and some of our other party members are no longer in the first flush of youth, so we all appreciate this very disabled friendly house.
Added to that the perfect location and the friendliness and helpfulness of both the owner and Bailey's staff (and the fantastic weather we always seem to have) and we will definately be back again.

Fairhaven is in a fantastic position overlooking Booker Green and the sea shore. Direct access to the beach across the green. It is an easy walk to the shops and cafes in East Wittering. The bus to Chichester is just as easy to find and walk to.
It has a fantastic balcony with uninterrupted views across the sea and the Isle of Wight. My small party have been many times and are in the process of booking again for next year.

We have stayed at numerous properties in the Witterings over the past 25 years but I have to say that I have never stayed at a property which is so clearly loved by the owners!
The property has the right balance and such a good feel, with the only 'personal' photos being those showing the redevelopment of the property. There are personal touches and well thought out spaces, that really make you feel that the house is a home from home.
The owner phoned us on the first night to explain a few things and welcome us to the house, which was a lovely thought.
The property is well equipped for the number of bedrooms, with adequate seating, crockery etc.
There are two bath/shower rooms and an additional toilet.
The layout of the property gives perfect views from the balcony, upstairs living room and double bedroom but also, for everyone to find their own space. Two living areas, a reading area, a dinning area and four double bedrooms, suited our family of 5. The two teenagers enjoyed the downstairs bedrooms away from Mum and Dad, whereas the youngest enjoyed his own room but upstairs and near to us. This also meant that the teenagers used the downstairs bathroom and meant that I didn't have to share with them, which was a great luxury!
Only a few steps out of the back gate and you are on the path to the fisherman's hut and the shop or across the stones to the beach. When the tide goes out you can walk for miles and find yourself in West Wittering.
The house is clearly looked after and I was not aware of any 'snags' or works that needed to be undertaken.
I wish we had discovered this property sooner and we have already booked to go back next year!

This is a lovely house, the layout was great, enough room for everyone, 3 toilets, and the upstairs living room with the view of the beach and the sunset in the evening was amazing. Lots of room for car parking, the garden was useful for the children and the proximity to the beach and the high street was amazing!

This was our third time staying in Fairhaven and as usual it was perfect. Everything was spotless.
The porch/boot room is a thing of envy. Perfect for taking wet coats and boots off and drying off dogs before entering the house. To go to sleep and wake up to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore is so far removed from where we live and immediately makes you relax. The pub at the end of the road also helps.

Great location. Excellent for walking to East Wittering that has shops and eateries. Our second Christmas at Fairhaven and another lovely stay.
The kitchen is well equipped to cook a Christmas dinner for 8 people and there's more than enough crockery and cutlery.
The boot room is a thing of envy for any dog owner. To be able to leave wet coats and boots there was great.
The furniture upstairs is dated and not very comfortable and the sofa downstairs, although very comfortable is not big enough for 8. The remotes for the two televisions are frustrating but we played lots of games instead.
There is no tumble dryer but plenty of airers for drying clothes, the two open fires would be more efficient by being enclosed stoves, as most of the heat goes straight up the chimney.
I'm looking forward to spending another Christmas with my family at Fairhaven.

This is a 'warts and all' review intended to be helpful, so bear in mind the overall experience was very good!
Location is superb, right next to the village and all shops, especially "The Shore" Pub, which does excellent food at lunchtime, and is very "dog friendly' (No, I don't own the place)

It was very cold (December) when we arrived at the rear of Fairhaven.
First impressions very positive, lots of character.
We opened the gate and found the stone path to the front door.
In places it slopes down and was a bit icy, so caution needed.
Opening the front door, you enter a smallish room for coats and shoes etc. then open another door into the large central
hallway/reception area with the stairs and rooms off in all directions.
This was pleasantly warm by contrast with outside, but we did need to increase the thermostat setting from 15 to 20.
Initially the heating turned off at night but the house soon became bitterly cold, so we had to turn it back on.
During our stay, we found the heating system to be a bit of a mixed bag.
The house has a large open space upstairs, which tended be very warm, whereas the kitchen and lounge areas downstairs were a bit less so, feeling a bit draughty on occasion.
In fairness there is the possibility to have a real wood fire on both levels!
The kitchen is quite small and most of the appliances are a bit dated:
The fridge is small and might struggle with a capacity rental
The Microwave and Dishwasher both suffered from the button legends having worn off.
The owner had provided a card with the microwave instructions on it, but still felt a bit less than 'good'.
The Washing Machine was good enough for our needs, but no Tumble Dryer, a relatively big no-no for us.
Crockery was of the 'well it's only a rental' variety, so yuk from us, Sorry.
Bedrooms are generally on the small side, but mostly comfy with the notable exception of the double bedroom mattress which we found to be (much) too hard and seemingly with a built in bump in the middle designed to turf you out!
My wife and I ended up sleeping in a different room with single beds.
Generally, the lighting was not at all good consisting chiefly of difficult-to-angle wall mounted spots;
ie they either blind you or don't effectively light the room, no dimming either.
Just felt a bit dated/inadequate.
Furniture generally comfy enough and in good condition but just looking a bit dated.
Bathrooms good (again a bit in need of a refresh), but one shower a bit more mouldy than acceptable to us.
Internet access was generally fast enough, although we did have a few drop-outs.
For me, a very big frustration was both the (large flat screen Toshiba) TV remote controls which seemed to have a slightly capricious nature in that sometimes they would work as expected and other times nothing would happen until you pressed the button quite hard and then suddenly two or three things would happen all at once.
Maybe you get used to it, but I would have binned the entire system there and than.
Also never did figure out how to stream content from my iPhone to the Toshes, and I pride myself as being the person who can usually make it work.
Patio doors were quite stiff to operate, but do-able if you can insist a bit.

So, reading back, remember this was a Winter break.
Summer would be entirely different, and we did have a very nice time!
As I said at the beginning: 'Warts and all', intended to be helpful.

We had a fabulous week staying in Fairhaven. We spent a lot of time indoors due to the inclement weather but being inside the property for any period of time is a delight. Very comfortable, televisions upstairs and down so no conflicts with the family on what to watch. The property is spacious but cosy at the same time. Amazing views - it takes your breath away the first time you go upstairs and see the sea from the balcony doors. A perfect location on the seafront but with the village just a minute away.

Fairhaven is a great property and is located on the sea front. It is walking distance to the village of East Wittering and not far from the West Wittering beach. You can find lots of shops and eateries in East Wittering and no need to take the car. Have been to Fairhaven a few times and will be back again in 2023 . Couldn't ask for a better property and great value for money.

Disabled friendly house that meant we could get the whole family together.
Some lovely, personal touches such as a welcome call from the ownerand a basket full of logs and kindling for the fire (weather was so good we didn't use it).

Our second stay at Fairhaven, and it felt just like we had come home the minute we walked in the door. The three generations of our family loved the relaxed holiday. The house is spacious and so well equipped and of course is in a stunning location. The teenagers & parents spent their time in the sea or the shops, the older adults watched from the balcony or sauntered into the village for a coffee or some shopping. East Wittering has lots of diverse shops and many places to eat. It has a lovely family vibe which hasn’t changed over the 7 years we have been coming here. One last thing, thank you for allowing dogs, ours loves the enclosed garden & spends hours watching people through the gate (before we take her for a run on the beach).

This if the fourth time we have stayed in Fairhaven. We love it and it really feels like a home from home. The location is fabulous. We particularly enjoy being so close to the beach, the garden is great for children's games and we played cricket and rounders on the green sward. It’s so convenient for the shops and cafes too. Highly recommended.

Fairhaven offers everything for a fabulous family holiday. Right on the beach, a stones throw from the pub, local shops and restaurants. It is fully equipped to make it home from home. It’s great for our 90 year old mum, as there is a bathroom and bedroom are on the ground floor. The BBQ is a added bonus. We return as a family every year and absolutely love it!

A beautiful property right by the sea. The location is excellent for both beach and East Wittering. Didn't need to use the car for shopping or eating out. Everything in easy flat walking distance. Lots of lovely shops in East Wittering. And to end your day what better than sitting on the balcony looking out over the Solent with it's splendid views. The venue is perfect right by the sea and there is lots of space. The balcony with settee is delightful. Upstairs is lovely .
but
Downstairs seating area inside is poorly arranged with no views or windows. It feels a bit like a community centre on arrival with hard tiled floors and strange internal windows. When you compare to other properties on offer it would really benefit from a complete overhaul, modernisation and refurbish. Most disappointing are the uncomfortable 3 sets of single beds , none of which zip and link to give a double option for our son and his wife.
The checklist of jobs and owner sitting waiting on the drive as you leave makes you feel very pressured and is a stressful end to your holiday when you should be feeling relaxed!

Fairhaven is a very well equipped house. The kitchen has everything that you need. The furniture upstairs needs updating but the sofa downstairs is comfortable and cosy in front of the open fire. The tiled flooring is perfect for sandy dogs and the porch is large enough to dry them off after a swim before entering the house. We stayed at Christmas and although we would have liked some more decorations on the tree, we will definitely be back next Christmas.

This was our second year at Fairhaven and we have already booked for next year.
This year we needed wheelchair access. An accessibility statement and ramps, provided by the owner, made the visit not only possible but pleasureable.
The location is stunning. The house is warm, clean and comfortable. Every need has been provided for.
The gorgeous weather was a real bonus too!

Staying at Fairhaven gave us the opportunity to explore the Manhood Peninsular as well as watch the surfers from the comfort and vantage of the upstairs lounge. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The garden affords a sheltered and private area to sit out and enjoy the sun, which we did for one day!

We loved our stay in this characterful house. It is incredibly well designed for beachside living. There are 2 large all enclosed gardens, the beachside one gives protection from the sea breezes whilst still catching the sun and there is an amazing beach/sea view from the upstairs balcony / lounge.
The house is very clean, well equipped, lots of seating inside & out, the kitchen has plenty of everything. It’s a very spacious house and one that we would very much like to return to.
The agents (Baileys) provided good instructions and kept us well informed of COVID restrictions etc throughout the booking process.
All in all we had a great holiday.

We have just spent a weeks holiday at Fairhaven for the 3rd year running. Our family love this house. The balcony had wonderful sea views there are two spacious lounges and a large dining table inside and further great seating in the garden. The position is excellent. The children played in the garden and on the green sward as well as the beach.

You will not find a better placed or equipped holiday home. There is nothing that isn’t there. It is clearly a very loved home which fortunately is a holiday let. East Wittering has every facility you would need in walking distance, the Shore Inn Pub is 2 minutes away and serves fabulous food, the Fish man is available twice a day for your lunch and tea. You can get an ice cream back to your elders without it melting.

We had every age group at Fairhaven, our 89 year old mum has limited mobility, her bedroom was ground floor, next to the bathroom, she can slowly manage stairs so had the choice of sitting on the veranda (the is an upstairs bathroom too) or sitting in the garden. Comfy chairs and cushions provided in both areas. We also had a 1 year old who had plenty of shade in the garden. The young adults had the full sun and WiFi. The restaurants, Chinese, Indian, Spanish, Fish n Chips, Burgers, Drifters and Boulevard were all fabulous, only 5 mins walk and Billy’s is only a 15 min walk away in Brackelsham.

There is a large TV both upstairs and downstairs for choices. The kitchen is as fully equipped as your home kitchen. You can wash, dry and iron your laundry there easily if you want to.

We walked our dogs on the beach each morning to West Wittering. No dogs past the first beach huts during the summer season. You need to walk through the car park if you want to walk further.

Fairhaven is situated right on the front, with a concrete path leading to the town so you can push a pram or wheelchair easily all the way. There is a large grass area immediately in front of the property, leading to the stones before the beach.

Fairhaven is a fabulous family holiday, where cherished memories will be made.

This is a very well maintained property that is not ultra modern but well cared for and equipped by the owners who are very fussy.
The most lovely thing is the upstairs lounge with panarama sea view plus one double bedroom with sea view. We also enjoyed the sheltered garden and outside furniture.
We were very disappointed by 6 single beds. Could the owner not provide one set that zip together so another couple can have a comfy double for their family? Not many people have 6 children and need 6 single beds! Also we had to go and buy basics you normally expected in a rented holiday home: kitchen cleaner, extra cloths, foil, washing powder, salt seems a shame not to provide these !
The lack of cushions in the downstairs outside furniture due to COVID was ridiculous! We had cushions on the inside furniture, settee etc.
Overall a lovely property though and very clean.

Despite Covid (at one point we weren't sure if we'd be able to come at all) we had a really lovely week,
The house felt clean and safe,
The owner rang when we first arrived to welcome us and clear up some Covid queries.
We loved the living spaces, we treated ourselves to an open fire one evening and they even arranged good weather for us all week!
Already booked for next year. :)

We've stayed at Fairhaven for the last four consecutive years, and visited other Holiday Homes in East Wittering in 2012 and 2013. So that's probably the best recommendation I can give for this property, and East Wittering as a holiday venue !! Can only add that updates to Fairhaven have made it an increasingly ideal Holiday Home, (for 5 family members, age group 22 - 89, and one Welsh Terrier !!), and that Baileys, as Letting Agent, handle the admin in a quick / efficient / helpful manner.

Two closing points, both Baileys and the Property's owner ensured the stay was Covid 19 secure and that the impact thereof was minimised. Finally, if this review left you in any doubt about this excellent Holiday Home, we have already booked our stay for Summer 2021.

The whole house is very very well set up for families, particularly those who will be doing water sports with an outdoor hanging rack for wetsuits - that is one significant time saver for wetsuit cleaning. There is a big back garden with a garage for storage and upstairs lounge with balcony and seating area. Just about everything you could guess you might need for a stay, is there. My 8yo daughter loves baking and every single implement required was waiting for us, including scales, electric mixer etc. All in all we had a very good week and have booked for the same week next year! We were very impressed with the fantastic weather put on for us and would be grateful if that could be repeated next tear please :-)

This was the second time we have had a family holiday at Fairhaven. It is fantastic to be so near the sea with lots of garden space too. The house is very well equipped and comfortable and very convenient for shops. The balcony is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sea view. We’ve booked again for next year!

We've now stayed at Fairhaven for 3 consecutive years, that sums it up as regards a review. If you come back 2 times there is not much greater endorsement of a Holiday Let, (and the people that manage it : thanks staff @ Baileys !!).

Overall apart from 3 stays at Fairhaven we also visited East Wittering, (staying at another Baileys run Holiday Let), in 2012, and 2013), which is also a more general endorsement, for East Wittering, as a place to spend a holiday.

One final recommendation, we are looking to return next year !!

Fairhaven is right on the front of East Wittering with immediate access to the beach. If you require step or ramp access to the beach it is a very short walk away. The Shore pub and several dog friendly restaurants are minutes away and the Co Op and Tesco’s are at the top of the road. Fairhaven is equipped with everything that you would need for a fabulous holiday. We took three generations from 90 to 25 and they all had a wonderful time. There was parking for three cars easily at the property and more in the side road, sat navs did not locate the back entrance well, if you turn left at the Shore Pub take the first right along the dirt track to locate the property from a parking prospective. We would thoroughly recommend this delightful property.
