Situated in one of the prettiest parts of Winterton, Sea Holly Cottage combines a mid-century look with contemporary style and comfort. The cottage is only a five minute walk from the beach and sleeps seven in four bedrooms (one is ground floor). Two dogs are welcome at no additional charge.

Very nice cottage and a good location. Cosy and great amenities near by. Highlights were the post office coffee shop and fisherman’s return and walks along the dunes.

We had a lovely stay with our dogs, Owen was very helpful when contacted. We saw seals at Horsey beach which was amazing. Our dogs loved the beach near the cottage and jumping in the sea! The cottage was very comfortable with great decor, the bed was super comfy too!

A comfortable well appointed cottage within easy walking distance of the beach. The specification throughout was very good although we did have major problems with the tv. I was able to have several direct e-mails with the owner and although this wasn't resolved during our stay it didn't spoil our holiday.
We would certainly return which is always the 'acid test' of satisfaction.

We had a lovely stay at Sea Holly Cottage. Loved the location and the amenities all within walking distance. The pub opposite is friendly with good pub food. Local shop has everything you need. The village had the added bonus of a fish and chip shop and lovely little tearoom. We took our dog who loved it! Only a 5 minute walk to the beach and sand dunes so great for long dog walks. Highly recommend the cafe at the sea front, amazing cakes and hot chocolate! We venture to the Nelsons Head for lunch one of the day’s and wasn’t disappointed. Great home cooked pub grub. The cottage itself had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay and we were very lucky with the weather! Thank you for having us.

The holidays started on the wrong foot because when we arrived at the cottage, it wasn't cleaned or ready. However, the owner was helpful and arranged for the cottage to be cleaned immediately. It was cleaned reasonably well after that. Overall, on the positive side, the cottage is near the beachfront, and you can reach Winterton Beach within a 10-minute walk. It is also opposite the pub. The kitchen is well-resourced, and the bedrooms are comfortable. There are lots of board games provided. On the negative side, we have stayed in other Winterton cottages and usually, our feedback is five stars. However, Sea Holly was inadequate from our view for the following reasons: The furniture & carpets seem dated and my wife and son who are dust mite allergic had a bad reaction. So we had to vacate the cottage 24 hrs earlier. The TV is too small and placed uncomfortably. The attached rear garden doesn't have any patch of grass or mud area for your dog to have a wee and we had to take him outside. The lounge area is too claustrophobic and we preferred to be outside than in the house. Overall we don't think we would go to Sea Holly again.

Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback. We’re very sorry that the cottage was not ready for your arrival – this was due to a miscommunication, and we completely understand how disappointing that must have been at the start of your holiday. We appreciate your kind comments about the location. Being close to Winterton Beach and the local pub is something many guests really enjoy, so it’s good to hear those aspects worked well for you. Since your stay, the owners have replaced and upgraded the living room furniture to improve comfort and the overall feel of the space. Sea Holly Cottage is furnished in a mid-century modern style, which we understand may not suit everyone’s personal preferences. The TV size and positioning, as well as the paved rear garden, are shown on our website, and the garden is described as being fully paved. While there isn’t a grassed area within the garden itself, there is a small green with grass directly outside the cottage which many guests use for quick dog breaks. While we’re disappointed that Sea Holly wasn’t the right fit for you on this occasion, we do genuinely appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue to improve for future guests. We wish you all the best and thank you again for sharing your experience.
