Our stunning and contemporary West Coast House has just undergone a major refurbishment and now offers beautiful accommodation to the highest standard. With cool and calm coastal interiors, wonderful sea views and perfectly situated above Porthmeor beach, West Coast House offers sumptuous accommodation for up to 8 guests, includes parking for two cars and outside terraces, making this the perfect haven for a special seaside getaway.

We used cherished cottages several years already. First time stayed at West Coast House, the location was fantastic, only few mins to Portmeor beach. The house has been redecorated, clean and modern. The rooms are extremely spacious. We had a great Christmas. Thank you once again.

This is a comfortable house, close to Porthmeor, Portgwidden and the town centre. It's also great for the coastal path. The car parking is ample and fairly easy to access. The house is comfortable, and there are plenty of bathrooms and toilets. It's well-equipped too. The views from the upper rooms are great. It also felt safe for the almost three-year-old in our party. The team at Cherished Cottages are always helpful and the information provided is really good. They could not stop it raining this year, but you can't have everything.

We loved West Coast House from the minute we stepped through the door! The house is beautifully decorated and furnished! There were 6 of us staying and the facilites were amazing, especially 3 showers! Definitely no queues in the morning! We arrived at night so we couldn't wait to open the blinds in the morning to see the beautiful sea views! We were not disappointed! The log burner was also a very welcome addition on the cooler evenings! The location of the house is a brilliant, being just a 5 minute walk to town or the beach. We 100% recommend this property and cant wait to return!!

We had a great week's stay.

The house is in a great location (especially if you have surfers in your group) and is in excellent condition.

The rooms are spacious and there's plenty of storage space.

Fantastic property and great service from Cherished Cottages as per usual. Just the 2 of us on a late break so bigger than we needed but wanted a quieter location so this was ideal... slightly out of the centre, with a great view. Even though it is opposite Barnoon car park we weren't disturbed by noise and much quieter than right in the centre. Facilities and quality of accommodation was pretty much faultless, and two very minor issues (a couple of loose fittings that we were happy to cope with) were sorted by Cherished within a few hours.

Ein wunderschönes Haus. Mein Lieblingsraum: das Wohnzimmer. Ein warmes Feuer im Kamin, eine Tasse Tee in der Hand und den Blick nach draußen auf das Meer. Alles war sehr gemütlich, sehr sauber und sehr bequem. Beim nächsten Mal wieder

Firstly, many thanks to Tim & the team for another lovely time in St Ives.
The house was perfect for us, a family group of 5 adults, 2 children, both aged 8 & a baby.
We were there as the other Cherished Cottages house we had stayed in for the 2 previous years was already booked, but this worked to our advantage & we will definitely return to West Coast House.
Well appointed, comfortable beds & sofas, with plenty of space for us all. And a well equipped kitchen.
Housekeeping do an amazing job, everywhere was spotless on our arrival.
The owners have obviously given great thought to everything, with a real attention to detail.
As ever, a couple of small issues which arose were resolved swiftly, following a conversation with Christine.
Such great customer service is what makes staying in your properties completely worry free!
Our granddaughters were at surf school for a couple of days, so the location was great.
The parking /rear lane does need care but we had no problems.
We are already looking at our dates for next year & will hope to stay in West Coast House.

Family group holiday, 6 adults and 2.5yr old. House very comfortable with plenty of bathrooms/toilets for number of guests. Well appointed kitchen with large dining table. Would have benefited from a basin in the sink. Comfortable lounge and snug. Parking at rear of property accommodated an Audi A5 and a Peugeot 208, but access somewhat tricky due to narrowness of road at rear. We found it easier to approach from the downhill end and exit uphill. We rented parking for a third vehicle on Beach Rd, down the hill towards the beach for £55.00 from an acquaintance of the owner.
The house itself is by the cemetery above the Tate gallery, so several downhill walks to the beaches and town, but as a result fairly strenuous walks back, depending on your age/fitness.
Damage deposit was promptly refunded.
Overall very enjoyable.

West Coast House delivered in every way and felt even larger in places than the pictures suggested. The road to the rear parking area is very narrow and not the easiest manoeuvre to get cars onto the drive but worth the effort as finding a parking space in St Ives can be difficult. Despite it being tight we did manage to fit three cars into the drive. Anyone staying should be aware that all walking routes to the town and beach include steep paths but again expected anywhere in St Ives. Everything finished to a high standard and Cherished Cottages were very accomodating to our needs. 100% recommend!

Well, what can we say, once again Cherished Cottages (CC) hasn’t disappointed.

West Coast House is a truly exceptional property, our favourite yet, and we have stayed in some stunning properties that CC host.

It ticked every single box for us. Perfect location, stunning views, a massive property, and the quality of the fixtures and furnishes was 10/10!!

We will be sure to book this wonderful property again.

We have stayed at a few Cherished properties over the years and none have let us down including West Coast House - great location very close to the beach, restaurants as well as the Tate Gallery. Great views over Porthmeor and Clodgy from the house which itself was of a very high standard both decor & furniture wise, we will be returning!

West Coast house was spectacular. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. It was moments away from the beach, shops and restaurants and a bargain price for what it was. We loved sitting in the beautiful living room, all having dinner in the stunning kitchen and sleeping in the incredibly comfortable beds. A hundred thousand stars for my rating.

We found West Coast House a very nice property and well equipped, modern and clean. Only comments are:

1. Middle floor central bedroom very warm without the front room bedroom door opening affording an airflow, it may need access to provide a small fan when the front bedroom door is closed.

2. We did on arrival find most rooms full of a particular fly - after a spree of getting rid of them they did seem to come back particularly in the above bedroom. I have not seen such a number of these before in St Ives and yes there are flies but why so many. We thought are they coming from next door ?? It may need monitoring and feedback from other guests to assess is this just a seasonal issue or a local problem.

3. Provision say of a couple of small boards, or chairs for the beach would save bringing such items along and I do not think it would cost much. Wind breaks are provided but I suspect most items were in the locked storage box.

4. Yes booked for next year.
