This is the third year running we have stayed at Fletchers Combe. The location is beautiful and the combined farmhouse and cottage are a wonderful and cozy place to stay, even for large groups of people.

I would thorougly recommend staying at Fletchers Combe.

Everything was perfect.

The houses are beautiful with well equipped kitchens, comfortable beds and lots of thoughtful touches.

We loved the hot tubs and the games room.

Fletchers Combe is an idyllic place to stay. For our large family gathering it had everything we needed. Sarah and James were more than helpful and the house and barn were amazing. The outside space was fabulous with beautifully landscaped gardens, with lots of walks to explore with our dogs. The hot tubs and fire pit were great for evenings outside. Everything has been thought of from the well equipped kitchens/dining area and sitting rooms with books and board games through to the games room which was an added bonus. Everyone said it was better than expected and we have booked again for next year. A big thank you to Sarah and James who were fabulous. Definitely recommend it.

Firstly I would like to say a big huge thank you to Sarah and James. They are the perfect hosts, and we couldn't have asked for more, nothing was too much trouble. This is our second time staying at Fletchers Combe, and it has now become a yearly event.
My husband and I stayed with fifteen others, and we all had a fabulous time. We were allowed to play our music as loud as we liked, and we were also able to put up a gazebo.
The accommodation is second to none, and everyone was very very comfortable.

We had 8 days at Fletchers Combe recently - there were 18 of us at some point to celebrate life and a milestone birthday for me earlier in the year. I stayed in the Farmhouse but we used the barn for the mealtimes and socialising. The views are breath-taking and the walks for the 5 dogs from the doorstep meant that no journeys in the car were necessary to exercise them.

Great welcome pack - really comfortable beds and nice linen and enough bathrooms meant that we all slept well unless we were woken by the pheasants in the morning! The hot tubs were a lovey addition and James came round regular to check all was in order and to monitor the levels and temperature and fill up the bird feeders. Whilst we had no children with us we ranged from age 20 to mid 60's and all enjoyed the facilities.

I organised catering on 2 evenings - both from the FC website and the food from the Wild Fig Café on our Friday night and full catering on the Saturday by Camilla Sharp were excellent. Finding the house and barn proved a bit problematic for some of us!

Overall this was a holiday that surpassed my expectations and I would recommend it to other people and hope to come back again! Thank you to James and Sarah for all of their organisation . Karen

We had a lovely family get together and the house was just perfect for that. It was a shame about the rain as we would have liked to use the garden more. We are already discussing a return visit!

Just enjoyed a really lovely stay at Fletchers Combe. Sarah & James were really helpful without being interfering. We had ages ranging from 0 - 91 and although the stairs/steps were a bit of a problem for very young or old we managed . Rooms were all beautifully decorated and the location was stunning. Full use was made of hot tubs and boating lake. Welcome pack was also very useful (including the wine and cake)!! All in all a lovely place where many happy memories were made.

We returned to Fletchers Combe again this year, for the fourth time. We had visited every year until Covid struck but then hardly seen each other until doing this trip. If anything the place has got even better since we last came, with the new Starlink internet proving very useful during our presentation/meetings day and the gas BBQ making it even easier to start relaxing in the evenings. We were even lucky with the weather, for October! It was lovely to meet Sarah and James on the last day and get to know them.

As every, we would highly recommend FC and we're looking forward to coming back again next year.

Fletchers Combe was the most idyllic and perfect property that anyone could ever wish for
I booked the Farmhouse and the Barn for my husband and brother's 40th Birthday, and we had 20 guests.
Both properties were absolutely amazing. Everyone commented on how comfy the beds were, and how clean and presentable everything was.
We used the games room as a dance area and my brother set up his decks. We were able to play our music as loud as we wanted, as it didn't disturb anyone.
We are going to be booking for next year as we would love to make it an annual event.
I'd like to say a big thank you to Sarah and James who welcomed us with open arms and nothing was too much trouble.

From the get go Sarah and James were super friendly and helpful, literally nothing we asked was too much trouble. We set up a marquee in the large garden space and had a mini festival style celebration with a large group and we rented out both the barn and farmhouse.

Finding somewhere that could accommodate such a large group was really difficult at first, but I'm so pleased that we came across Fletchers Combe. Set amongst acres of rolling hills and fields, it was the perfect spot for our mini festival. A mega bonus was that we had no noise restrictions meaning that we could dance the night away in the comfort that we would not be disturbing any neighbours.

The houses are classically styled and spotlessly clean. We arrived early to set up the sound system and met several of the cleaners and gardeners who were equally as welcoming as the hosts. We were also left a little welcome hamper that was delicious and greatly appreciated.

The hot tubs heated quickly and stayed warm for hours. We had one open for at least 6 hours and it stayed delightfully warm throughout.

The drive to the house is full of magical single track roads filled with ferns and high verges, so would recommend that the bolder drivers take the driving seat upon arrival just in case you meet a local farmer on your way.

In summary, if you are considering this place, just book it! You won't regret it and we are already planning our next stay.

Fletchers Combe was complete perfection from start to finish. We booked the Farmhouse and Barn combined for a family holiday, throughout the holiday everyone was delighted with the standard of the accommodation, facilities and the peaceful location. Wonderful memories made rowing on the pond, playing in the woodland treehouse and relaxing on an evening in the hot tub. Thank you, we will be booking again.

Twelves of us visited for a work retreat. It was really the 'get away from it all' we wanted; a beautiful bit of countryside and no work calls or emails. We could use the TV in the barn for a couple of presentations and chat outside around the BBQ in the evening. It was also a great base for trips to Salcome and Dartmoor.

There were 22 adults and children staying at the farmhouse and barn.it was a very enjoyable weekend .the children loved playing in the garden and there was also a games room .the table tennis table was excellent,but the pool table was ok but not level and the balls did not run true.the barn was lovely and the kitchen was more than adequate to cater for all of us.and bedrooms were good and bathrooms and showers were excellent.the farmhouse was lovely .but the only bugbear were the stairs they were a little awkward for my mum and mother and father in law.they found it very hard to climb the stairs .apart from that ,it was a very lovely weekend to celebrate my mums 90th birthday.

A group of 18 of us booked both the Farmhouse and Barns for a weekend stay. We had a really great weekend and would definitely come again.

The farmhouse was a lot more spacious than we were expecting from the pictures. There was plenty of space for everyone to cook, eat and socialise there. The barn looked a bit more luxurious but due to the size of the group everyone spent most of their time in the barns.

The barns were well laid out with a big kitchen and living room in one half, and plenty of space for dining in the other half. The bedrooms were downstairs and all very comfortable. The only slight complaint was that you could hear a bit of noise from the living room in the bedrooms directly underneath.

Di dropped round in the mornings although was careful not to be intrusive at all. I didn't speak to her myself but the members of our group that did had a nice chat with her and she made sure we had everything we needed.

All in all a really nice weekend. Thanks Di!

This is our second visit, we decided we needed to have regular family get togethers and Fletchers Combe has been the perfect location. Before we had even left everyone was asking when we were returning. Di is great, always at hand if needed, nothing is too much trouble. We will go back next year and every year that they’ll have us!

We had a brilliant short-break! It was a chance to get away from the city and just catch up. Relaxing in the sun, a trip to Dartmouth and BBQs every night. The hard part was leaving.

Property - We rented both the farm house and barns for 3 nights over Easter. There were 15 adults, 6 children and 4 dog in total and there was still plenty of space for more.

Location - The location was perfect for exploring the area.

Host - Di was an absolutely fantastic host. Very easy to communicate with and had a laid back approach. Very helpful and even sorted out the pay-per-view boxing out for us on the Saturday night.

A perfect venue for a party. Excellent value and none of the 22 people staying had anything but praise for the venue. There isn’t a short straw to draw, all the rooms were tip top and the lay out of the buildings lend themselves to a big get together. The standard is very high but tasteful at Fletchers Combe and as a result both properties feel like someone’s home rather than a photo shoot for John Lewis or completely empty because the owners don’t trust the visitors. Di and Tim were helpful and generous throughout the organisation of the party and I simply can’t recommend this place highly enough.

More than 20 family members, children and dogs got together for a long weekend at Fletchers Combe and at the end of the stay every single person was saying they wished they had a couple more days. The layout gave us space but also provided spacious areas to all be together e.g. the barn kitchen and the barn's patio. It's where to go for complete tranquility and getting away from everything! Fletchers Combe provides an array of games for adults and children which we made good use of. Totnes town was only a short drive away and worth a visit too. I highly recommend this property to anyone needing a getaway, and don't forget to bring walking boots!!

We celebrated my daughter's 40th birthday at Fletchers Combe with 28 guests including 6 small children and 4 dogs, It was a cold and wet December weekend, but everyone was warm and comfortable, there was plenty of room, and the excellent games room, lounging spaces and other facilities made it a pleasure to be housebound. Even so the kids enjoyed pond dipping, the outdoor play facilities, and the abundant opportunities for nature watching in the gardens and surrounding land. When the weather improved there were numerous walks through the wonderful, surrounding Devonshire countryside, accessible from the doorstep.
The standard of appointment was excellent throughout, comprising a tasteful mix of sturdy period furniture and high quality modern fittings. The kitchen areas and bathrooms were very well equipped. Generally Fletchers Combe is a perfect blend of rustic and modern.
Fletchers Combe Farm easily coped with our large party, and everyone loved it. But with its 2 kitchens and multiple bathrooms the accommodation could also be divided between 2 or 3 separate and unrelated groups if required.
