The cabin has a lovely view towards The Holy Loch however it is partly obstructed by the fantastic trees. The property is a good distance from its neighbours so there isn't a problem with being overlooked. Inside the property has a comfortable lounge that leads on to the raised deck; a well equipped kitchen, although the dishwasher had a handwritten sign saying it isn't working with no indication when it will be fixed. The 3 bedrooms are adequately furnished and a reasonable size. The combined bathroom/toilet is fine however the bath is quite high sided and could present a problem for some people. The grounds have lots of beautiful red squirrels and a few deer who roam freely. PLEASE DON'T TRY TO APPROACH THE DEER. Just enjoy watching them from a distance.
There were a few minor niggles. Work had obviously been carried out recently on the front decking and sawdust hadn't been properly swept away; some minor repairs to the inside would help - the framing above the kitchen window, carpet relaid in the twin room to cover the exposed gripping points - just very minor points that certainly didn't spoil our visit.

We booked Harris Cabin for five nights, but ended up cutting our stay short and leaving after four. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to our expectations. When we arrived, we were immediately met with an unpleasant smell inside the cabin, particularly strong in the bedroom. Despite efforts to air it out, the issue persisted, making it difficult to relax or feel at ease.
We spent most of our time at a nearby friend’s caravan, returning to the cabin only to sleep. One of us even chose to sleep on the sofa with the patio doors open, as that was the only way to avoid the stronger odour.
On the bright side, the cabin was clean and had a fantastic decking area with great views — easily the highlight of the space. However, the interior furnishings, carpets, and some appliances felt quite outdated and could really use an upgrade.
The location has real potential and the outdoor space is genuinely lovely, but a few improvements indoors and addressing the ventilation issue would go a long way in making Harris Cabin a more enjoyable retreat.

Cabin was well placed in a quiet part of the park. It contained everything we needed for our short stay. A mirror in the small bedroom would be helpful but otherwise the property was well appointed. Minor maintenance needed. Fabulous balcony with views of the Holy Loch. Site has a small shop which we used and a leisure area which we did not need to use this visit. Would definitely go again.
