The wonderful accomodation and outstanding location for Kernock Cottages allowed us to add to memorable family gatherings. Everyone across the various age ranges were comfortable and appreciated all the care and attention from Louise and Damien. The local knowledge ensured we enjoyed the area and the fantastically equipped kitchens meant that catering for our large group was a joy. We are already recommending the experience to many friends and are looking forward to returning ourselves.
This was our fifth visit to Kernock Cottages in three years, and our second to Little Owl. It is such a fabulous cottage. We went with our adult son and dog, Solo, who thinks of Central Bark as his happy place! The location is perfect, with a great pub just up the road and access to loads of walks and attractions nearby. The site itself is peaceful and quiet with amazing views. We just loved sitting in the hot tub and watching the sun set while taking in glorious views. I can't recommend it enough. I fact, we're coming back again in May!
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Tree Barn, it was a lovely scenic and tranquil setting. Everything is done to make you feel welcome and comfortable from the welcome pack of local produce to the bath robes and toiletries in the bathroom. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Damien kept us updated via WhatsApp of any work that was being carried out on the estate and gave us helpful information about the surrounding area. This was our sixth visit to Kernock Cottages, and our fourth stay in the Coach House. It truly is the perfect place for a long weekend for two. We didn't have the dog with us this time, but it is perfect for dogs too as we know from previous visits. It was fantastic to enjoy the complimentary bottle of Prosecco in the hot tub the first evening while taking in the wonderful views over the valley. Delightful holiday with wonderful hosts who couldn’t have been more helpful. Luxurious cottage with very comfortable beds and top notch linen. If you want a quiet, peaceful countryside holiday you couldn’t ask for more. Several sandy beaches only 10 miles away, all dog friendly. Hot tub right outside the door, with BBQ and sitting area. We had a fabulous stay in Owl Barn at Kernock Cottages. Damian and Louise are superb hosts and their communication before arrival and during our stay was 1st Class. The cottage, which was a perfect size for six adults, one grandchild and a spaniel was brilliant. The cottage has everything you need for the stay; great en suite bathrooms to each bedroom, fully kitted out kitchen and dining area, and plenty of spaces to relax and chill.
