We stayed in the Roost at Kernock Cottages for my mum’s 70th birthday. The facilities were excellent - giving everyone the space they needed to spend quality time together or apart. The bedrooms were large and comfortable, and having an en suite each made a real difference. The secluded location meant that our private gardens had stunning views over the valley, and we felt safe letting the dog and my toddler run around. The outside space gave multiple options for relaxing and enjoying a drink or a chat. What really made the stay exceptional, though, were the hosts. Damian made us feel insta...more
We had a lovely week in owl barn. Communication from owners great prior to arrival.Lovely welcome packs for us and our 2 dogs, including dog towels and throws. Damian met us on arrival and gave us great recommendations on things to see and do. The barn was well presented, and very comfortable. Everything has been thought of to make for a relaxing week. The views from the garden and hot tub were incredible, and the grounds were great for the dogs, with a large enclosed field (central bark). Highly recommend kernock cottages and we hope to go back soon.
First time in Cornwall so chose Kernock Cottages so we could take our two dogs and relax in the hot tub. So pleased with our choice, the cottages were in the middle of super countryside with amazing views. Tree Barn was a delight to stay in, with a local welcome pack and extensive file of suggestions. Damian also provided us with his recommendations of places to go, which was very useful. Our dogs loved the stay, their new toys and treats kept them amused. They loved the acres of rabbit - chasing enclosed fields and appreciated the warm water doggy shower outside the cottages. All in all thi...more
We selected this 'dog friendly cottage' on-line from a number of options and were delighted with our choice. It was exactly as described, with everything we needed already provided. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable and well-equipped, even with a towel to wipe the dog's feet! The welcome pack contained fresh local products that obviated the need to dash out for supplies early on. Having a 6-acre dog walking field on-site, plus a secure garden, plus a hot-tub ensured a stress free and relaxing break. We were given loads of local information and ideas of places to visit, and were not...more
This is my 3rd visit to Kernock, and the high standards are still the same . Great communication from Damian before arriving and as always greeted on the day of arrival with a smile. My dog Harvey lives to have a free run in Central Bark on arrival to get rid of the stress of the drive and knew where he was straight away. The nest part of Heather Barn is the accessibility for my sister who requires a wheelchair and Damian always checks to see if we require any more aids during our stay. A pawfect getaway for all Thank you
We chose Kernock cottages as they accepted 3 dogs ( most only accept 2)and also had chargers for electric cars.Owl Barn was comfortable . The kitchen was well kitted out but maybe a little small as a large kitchen table took up a lot of space. The welcome pack was very generous. It is the perfect place for dogs with an enclosed area for them to run free and a warm hose to wash them down. Damian could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. If we ever holiday in the Saltash area again and had dogs we would choose to stay there again. The highlights for us were a meal at Dan Co...more
