Two-bedroom cottage sleeping up to 6 people plus cot. There is an open plan living/kitchen area on ground floor, plus bathroom and two bedrooms. Living area has a mezzanine floor giving an extra lounge area with single day bed. One bedroom with double bed, second bedroom with triple bunk bed.

Had a fantastic 8 day stay, Kate and Neil very welcoming, nothing is too much trouble for them.
We felt very cosy in red kite. Had everything we needed, booked again next year, thanks again to both

Very enjoyable stay. Perfect for four dogs plus two over 70s. Two bedrooms on ground floor so no stairs. Away from it all down a nearly mile long track with a dog paddock plus walk through a field to the wood. Good place for star gazing and wildlife spotting when not walking dogs on the nearby beaches. The chocolate brownies were very tasty.

We had a lovely relaxing week in Red Kite Lodge with our four dogs. The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need for a cooking, relaxing, etc. We had a secure garden for the dogs (fence half height so would not be secure if your dog jumps but fine for ours) plus a larger area the dogs could run round in.

There are lots of lovely places to visit near by and you can walk to the local woods direct from the cottage (via field of cows).

Red Kite Lodge is good value for money and I would highly recommend it..

We had an amazing week staying at Valley View Cottages. Red Kite Lodge had everything we needed; it is comfortable and clean and has a lovely, secure dog-friendly garden and beautiful views. Comfortable beds. The mezzanine area is great - provides an extra spot for older kids.

It is a really great spot for walks, beaches (so many to choose from within 25 mins drive) and great places to dine. The night sky at the cottages is unbelievable! I could see the milky way so clearly and saw some shooting stars!

The hosts are very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We cannot wait to visit again.

We have stayed at Valley view cottages in red kite lodge several times. We take our four dogs with us. We always receive a warm welcome from Kate and Neil. Everything is always perfect the cottage is so clean and welcoming it feels like a second home to us and our dogs.

The grounds around the cottages are lovely and it is a wonderful place to relax as it is so quiet and away from the hassle of everyday life. The night sky is wonderful as there is no light pollution so the night sky looks amazing. Thanks to Kate a Neil’s commitment and work to the environment there is lots of wonderful wild life to see, such as bats, birds and hares in the lane. We were really excited seeing a few Red Kites flying above the cottages during our visit.

The location of Valley View Cottages is perfect for family holidays there are plenty of places to visit, such as beautiful beaches, castles and lots of places that will keep the kids happy, such as Oakwood and Folly farm.

We have already booked our next holiday at Valley View for 2025. Thank you Kate and Neil. See you soon x

This is the 4th visit we have made and you could not ask for more, peaceful, very central to a large variety of visitor attractions and Kate and Neil are the perfect hosts.

This is our third stay at valley view

You can’t beat the accommodation,or the surroundings so peaceful and relaxing and you have all the comforts in your accommodation.

The owners can’t do enough for you.

Kate and Neil are fantastic, the cottage was beautiful with picturesque views. Nice and quiet yet less than 30 minutes from a choice of beaches. Would highly recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at valley view. Neil and Kate were super hosts. We stayed in red kite cottage which was comfy and cosy, plenty warm enough too for February! Delicious welcome Brownies made by Neil went down a treat! Lovely beaches within a short drive. We can highly recommend Sunday lunch at The Nags Head which we enjoyed walking to and back (50 minutes ish with kids, involves a hill). Also pizza at the local pub was delicious!...(again we walked, closer than The Nags Head to walk). Love that the dog is welcome too and handy little dog exercise area. Kids also enjoyed playing pool and darts. We'll definitely be returning! Thankyou Neil and Kate for a lovely stay.

We have stayed at this cottage a few times and we had our first Christmas there Neil Kate are very welcoming and provide excellent service and always helpful u would definitely recommend this cottage as absolutely stunning

We loved our stay, rural location but with plenty of lovely beaches, pubs and places to visit. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Hosts are extremely friendly and welcoming. Do good we booked for next year.

We stayed at Red Kite with our three children while my Mum and her partner stayed in Owl Cottage.

This was our first visit to Valley View Cottages and certainly won’t be our last.

We found the amenities in the Cottage fulfilled our needs and we were happy that dogs are very welcome on this site.

The children were most impressed with the games room. The weather wasn’t good being October and I feel the children would love this site in the summer months.

Thank you Kate and Neil for making us feel very welcome at Valley View Cottages and we look forward to a return visit.

Cottages are in lovely quiet secluded valley, very peaceful and relaxing
Kate & Neil, are the perfect hosts, happy to help if you need it
Visited several times now, cottages are always clean and tidy, everything works and have everything in them you could need for the holiday
Lovely place to stay if you have dogs, gardens are secure and its definitely pet friendly
Not far form some of the best dog beaches around, everywhere is dog friendly

Everything was perfect, very relaxing holiday with our three lovely poodles. If you are looking for somewhere to relax and enjoy the quietness of the country side this is a wonderful place to stay. The cottages are beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The outside areas are well maintained and totally safe for dogs. We have stayed at valley view for several years and have already booked for next year. Kate and Neil are very welcoming and always on hand if you need anything, guests are invited to explore the grounds and see the wonderful work that is being done by Kate and Neil to encourage wildlife and look after the environment.

We stayed at Red Kite Lodge last year and loved it, so much so we rebooked as soon as we got home. The cottage is spotlessly clean and very comfy with everything we needed for a perfect stay. The children loved the games room and a chance to make new friends, also the chickens, meadow and extensive grounds to explore. Kate and Neil are perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble and the arrival brownies are to die for! Amazing beaches and adventures all in easy reach. Best beaches anywhere in fact!
All in all, another terrific stay - thank you!

We had a relaxing holiday, the cottage was lovely, we had 2 dogs with us we like to walk could only take them into the doggy garden as there was some bullocks in the field where we could have had a walk to the pub & would have to walk past them & was told if they come towards you lose your dogs off but didn’t want my dogs trampled. It says there is a stream a pond & a fire pit but all of this was overgrown, the track down to the cottage was quite long & a bit bumpy & rough in places.

We are sorry that the fire pit area was overgrown, thanks for pointing it out and we have now rectified that. We do keep our gardens intentionally 'wild' to encourage a wider range of insects and pollinators, which some of our guests love to see, but we appreciate that it's not for everyone.
