This house was perfect for us. Fabulous location and very comfortable. It is very well kitted out, has everything you could possible need. Lovely garden, great for kids.
We had a fantastic week in cottage 104 Clifden. The views from the cottage were breathtaking and the location was very convenient being a 5 minute drive to Clifden. The cottage was clean, comfortable, quiet and very family friendly. The owner made us feel very welcome and we would definitely stay again.
Excellent location to explore the coast of Ireland. Very peaceful. We enjoyed the quiet, but appreciated the local pubs & restaurants. Thanks for a GREAT week.
Spacious comfortable house in a nice location. Well equipped with big garden for the kids to play inext. Unlike a lot of rentals the bedrooms and beds were big and comfortable. A drawback for us was that the house is not pet friendly but given the quality of the house it is understandable.

Great service, very convenient access to town and great accommodation! Highly recommend for short or longer stay,
Gorgeous house with a super view. Veronica and PJ were wonderful hosts. All you would need for a short or long stay in their house. Well worth a trip out west for this gem.
Lovely large house with loads of character, beautiful outlook and good location to explore Galway/Connemara. The house stands in its own grounds providing privacy and is not far from a small shop and petrol station. A car is of course a requirement. Bedrooms are large and comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for preparing and serving family meals. We would thoroughly recommend.
We had a great time in Connemara and the apartment was just perfect for us: 2 adults and a 2 year old. The playground around the corner with the animals were visited every day. Only the weather was too rainy and cool.
A perfectly located and beautifully converted house with garden and stunning sea and sunset views, this is private and peaceful and a short lovely walk away from Cleggan village and harbour, where there is a great pub (Oliver's), freshly caught fish is available, and the ferry to Inishbofin goes back and forth. Several good beaches nearby on the Cleggan-Claddaghduff loop (Rossadilisk, Sheddy's, Omey) and Clifden and Connemara's most spectacular scenery is just along the road. Didn't want to leave and definitely hope to return.
Not enough comfortable seating in the sitting room to accommodate 4 people. An additional chair was provided but another couch or armchair was really needed. Double bed mattress was falling into the centre of the bed. Good comfortable beds are essential when on holidays. Beautiful cottage, owner very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Access to the beach was not down through the field as was stated on the website. It was a 10 - 15 min walk.
THe house was in a great location, an easy walk to the beach, to Cleggan village and to Claddaghduff. The house was well furnished and thoughtfully organised. I would recommend it to friends and intend to return.
Have been to this cottage 2 or 4 times and enjoyed every visit. While the cottage provides the solitude I seek it is also close to good restaurants pubs and shops. Many terrific walking opportunities within either walking distance or a short drive from the cottage. Great for a couple with an occasional guest in the second bedroom. Definitely recommend this place for a peaceful holiday
Everything provided for a self catering holiday, just what we were looking for. Beaches and walking in the area were excellent, visiting Sweeneys Pub in the village a most.
This apartment was probably one of the best we have ever rented and we have rented many in Ireland and other countries! Great panorama as it is on the top floor and the apartment is laid out really well. The skylight also meant lots of light in the main living area which was cool when it rained. It was very well equipped with nice quality furnishings and kitchen equipment. Even has deckchairs and a BBQ for going to the beach! Plenty of books and DVDs for rainy days as well as a few CDs. And good to have some bits and pieces such as washing materials and salt/sugar/tea/coffee already there. Nic...more
The cottage was in a beautiful setting on the edge of the water. Sunsets were very dramatic. Gillian (the owner) was very friendly and helpful. She left us a bottle of wine and some home made bread and one day gave us a lift into Cliften. The kitchen was very well equipped and the house was very cosy in general. A fire pack was also provided. The house was very artfully decorated inside and had lots of seating areas outside. We were lucky enough to get some good weather and take advantage of the views. I would definitely recommend the cottage to others.
The location of the apartment is excellent with plenty of amenities, restaurants, bars and a very good supermarket all within walking distance. We had everything we needed in the apartment although it is quite basic (no frills). Very near to Connemmara National Park (well worth a visit), and lovely mountains and coastline. We would love to return soon.
We really enjoyed our stay in this house. The house is very spacious and well equipped. Loved the location near the beach at the bottom of the field and all the nearby attractions
Ein wunderbares Haus in einer tollen Lage. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war perfekt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!
This is a very attractive cottage in a beautiful location. It is very well appointed and comfortable. We would heartily recommend it for a holiday in Connemara and would gladly come back. The only thing that prospective occupants should be aware of is that only one of the bedrooms is truly 'private' (one other is on a mezzanine opening onto the main living area and the twin bedroom is also 'open' to the living area via stairs to the other mezzanine). This was not a problem for us as we were a small family group but might not always be suitable.
We had a very nice couple of days at cottage 286, good spacious layout, nice and clean. Well fitted out, the web pictures don't do the decor justice. Near the end of a quite lane and within walking distance of the sea. We will definitely be back !! The outside area is not completed yet, while was fine for us but would not be suitable for small children as there is no secure garden for them to run.
Great house with helpful and friendly owner situated in a beautiful landscape. Fresh bread for breakfast in walking distance. Check diamant hill, sky road, the beaches, the south of the Renvyle peninsula and the pubs of course.
Just gorgeous views, a v short hop to the pier for kayaking and swimming. Cosy peat fires, v snug. Local community is super friendly. We came during the local Cashel Together festival and joined in a community guided walk to the top of the hill. Well worth doing. We loved the local beaches at Roundstone & Carna and some great seafood eateries within reach too. The house is brilliantly situated with a really good, warm & welcoming feel to it.
We have 3 children under the age of 7. The house was so spacious and comfortable with lots of games provided for the children. It was a safe walk to the beach where the children thoroughly enjoyed the freedom etc. We definitely would consider returning again.
Good apartments, surrounding views are poor as town location. Great parking, apartments have been well taken care of. The only suggestion would be to replace grouting around bath. The area is absolutely beautiful.
This cottage lies in the heartland of Connemara and a real place of refuge for anyone who wants to walk the lands, be in the midst of dramatic scenery and curl up to the warmth of a fire. With this be aware that sometimes when the storms arrive the sheep will come down from the hills and seek shelter outside the door of the cottage. This for me offered such beauty in where this cottage lies. A wonderful welcoming from the host who cares greatly for your comfort even when waters or fires need sorting. I will return in the springs to this cottage as it is a beautiful refuge in the heartland of e...more
I have stayed in this property many times before and it is ideal in its location right in the village so no driving required if you enjoy a pint. Could use a bit of a re furb to bring it up to date, better tv, there is no hairdryer and only the bare minimum of kitchen equipment. Its fine for me but I think a family would struggle. The booking service is great and they are always available on site to help.
We had 6 staying at 330 Leenane for a week, and from pulling up to the house to not wanting to leave, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is large enough we didn't feel like we were tripping over each other. We had a toddler and was pretty kid friendly including the fire pit which has a wide lip. The view of the fjord and the mountain was unbeatable. The Leenane Hotel right across the street was a good source for wifi if/when needed, and they had an amazing massage and seaweed bath service. The kitchen was great, a lot of different pots and pans and utensils, plates, etc. Found myself needi...more
Enjoyed our stay at Hill House. Would like to mention that the windows at the window seat on the first floor are very old and do not close - could be an issue for young children. Thanks Julie
Ocean View Cottage, overlooking Dog's Bay and the Atlantic beyond was just what we expected. Quaint, cosy , clean and comfortable. Our two dogs felt very much at home! The only caveat I would enter is: if you have an active ,inquisitive dog you'll have to tie him to a longish rope. there are gaps in the hedge that allowed my young dog to escape onto the busy road. Other than that we enjoyed being able to light the real turf fire in the evening when the rain lowered the temperature. Our hostess, Ellie Conneely, was lovely. There if we needed anything, but left alone otherwise.
This is a traditional Irish cottage which has kept its original features. The kitchen is well equipped and modern. One bedroom was excellent but the other was cramped with a double and single bed and also unnecessary items. The surroundings and location are brilliant and peaceful.
My one fault with the house was the big hedge in front of house you couldn't see the view kids couldn't play in garden unless you were out with them because of hedge so for that reason I wouldn't go back to house...
The rooms were spacious, outlayed well, with nice appointments (especially the paintings), shopping and gastronomy within convinient walking distance, good kitchen, good bathroom, WLAN didn't work, but LAN did, that was enough for us. Service was very good, Sandra was very friendly, helpful and competent before and during the sta!. great place to spend a vacation!
The cottage is up a long drive in a grassy area surrounded by woods. The view from the cottages is of mountains. The Little Killary is a few hundred yards away. We mostly sailed a dinghy: there is a difficult slipway on the Little Killary, and a good one at Rosroe on the Killary only a mile away. The small shop a mile away has all the basics, including turf for the fire. No wifi, nor mobile signal, which for us was an advantage.
It is a lovely house in a stunning locations however there were some issues that need attention. There is no bin outside the property and we were told we had to keep the bins inside the house as rodents/foxes could get at them. After a week we had to go to the caretaker who was very helpful and informed her the bins need to be moved elsewhere as the stench was making us feel ill. The bins were kept in the utility room which is between the kitchen and the children's Bedroom which is not suitable. This property urgently requires an outside bin to store refuse. There are two showers in th...more
The location was perfect, beach, mountains, town, various villages all in easy reach. Very comfortable though the interior has a somewhat neglected feel about it. Not wonderfully organized for a guest residence. But nothing so far as to say inconvenient, just scattered. The structure itself is great I just think a little more care could be put into setting the place up as a rental.
Lovely cute house in a gorgeous location. When I clarified if there was a tv I was informed that "people who rent this property are outdoors people". We are very much outdoors people but have 2 children & are quite experienced in Connemara weather so we're covering ourselves for all eventualities. Being classed as an outdoors house we were very surprised at the lack of a dryer. With no radiators or natural drying in such an old house a dryer is very important for beach towels as we would swim at least twice a day. The fact that the little house/storage shed had electricity would make it ve...more
Kitchen / sitting area was open plan. Was rather shocked at the cost of the electricity & oil by the end of our 5 days; was suggested we may have left the water heater on but we were never told about it on arrival. Also there was no remote control for the DVD player which somewhat spoiled things for us.
Good for what I wanted could do with more comfortable seating otherwise good and comfortable when weather is bad qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqaqqqqqqqqq
Had we none we were going to live next to a building site we definitely would not have chosen our holiday to be there. One day 10 or more massive lorries came bringing sole. They started at 7.30 and the speed of them was frightening! Infact one actually had to stop when my elderly father fell off the side of the road down a large drain! At no point were we told building was going on next door!
This cottage is in a stunning location and we loved admiring the views and wildlife and this alone makes it worth staying. The accommodation is well equipped and there are nice touches like providing binoculars. Although sleeps 8, the living accommodation is a little small and there is not enough room to seat 8 at table. The twin bedrooms are up a small but very steep staircase which would be unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems and the bathroom is quite a distance from these bedrooms. We really enjoyed our stay here and it is a true taste of Connemara.
good cottage for two persons. the situation is wonderfull : amaising view very clean. Just an objection : the bath If we come back to Connemara we will certainly return in the same cottage.
Kitchen and living room maybe need a renovation. Location is good, refilling of electricity credit maybe is not well advised in the website, so it was a surprise for us. Quiet place and allowed us to rest.
Clean and confortable appartment in Connemara but a bit noisy as it is situated in the Letterfrack main road/street and close to the pubs. More than 4 cutleries would be appreciated.
