We really enjoyed our stay in Claddaghduff, this property is finished to a very high standard and is extremely comfortable. The owner met us on arrival and gave us a tour as well as recommending numerous activities in the area. Will definitely return
We had a lovely stay in Louisburgh. The house was spotless and received a warm welcome with some homemade scones from owner. Look forward to our next visit
This house is perfect. Just a few minutes walk from a beautiful selection of beaches with a fantastic view across the bay to the mountains. Every thing is comfortable and luxurious. There were Gallons of hot water and extremely comfortable beds. I would go back again any time!
Beautiful location, the house is very comfortable, extremely well equipped and with every home comfort and more. Within walking distance to Sweeneys Pub, shop and post office. Stunning views of Omey Island from the House. External seats and chairs from which to enjoy the view or barbeques. The house is spotless and well cared for and though we have been here more than 4 times, each time the owners have added or updated the house to improve it further. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.
We were all very happy at Hillview and found it to be a lot better than we’d expected - Good expectation management you might say! Unusually I actually suggest you might be well served in taking some new photos of the house which show how spacious it is, how many people can fit around the kitchen table etc, as we felt we needed to bring with us by car from the UK extra tables and chairs (not necessary!) However it would be helpful if there were a larger freezer as catering for a large family group day by day on holiday can be quite a task - We actually drove over with our own freezer! That was...more
We’ve had an amazing time in Ballyconneely. The house was perfect for our family, ie enough bedrooms to sleep roughly 20 people, spacious/modern kitchen and sitting rooms. The host and caretakers were friendly, very helpful and easily to contact via mobile and email. Everyone from 6 months of age to 82 years enjoyed the stay. Thank you!
Spacious comfortable house in a nice location. Well equipped with big garden for the kids to play inext. Unlike a lot of rentals the bedrooms and beds were big and comfortable. A drawback for us was that the house is not pet friendly but given the quality of the house it is understandable.
The house was beautiful and the setting amazing. We had a fabulous relaxing, stress free, and friendly stay. We will definitely return.
This house is in a great location with lovely sea views. This house was very well kitted out and had everything I needed. The garden is lovely and was a good place to relax. The beds were comfortable and the house was spotless on arrival. The owner was very nice and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay here.
The views from the house are panoramic: sea, islands and hills. The location is good for Connemara. A bit romote but many would see this as an advantage. The facilities in the house are very modern, older people might need time to manage them.
An excellent house with large rooms, generous space, straightforward design. We enjoyed it very much. Thank you Mark for your very friendly welcome and assistance in a few questions!
Super views, great location, lovely owners, comfortable and spotlessly clean apartment. Highly recommended.
This house was perfect for two families sharing, plenty of space, well equipped and very comfortable. An ideal location for sightseeing and doing activities in both Galway and Mayo. Highlights of our stay included : A walk on the Western way behind the house into Leenaun, a few very enjoyable trips to the local Glasslinaun beach, a visit to Ashleagh falls, a hike on diamond hill, a surf lesson for the children/teenagers on Carrownisky beach, a day trip to Inisboffin Island where we all cycled, a visit to silver strand beach, pier jumping on Renvyle pier and a shopping trip to Clifden and v...more
This property is of the highest standard. The view and location are stunning. We were comfortable and delighted with the host, the booking agent and the house itself. A surprisingly steep driveway turned out to be perfectly manageable and not a bother. Highly recommended!
this was a great place, loved separate bathrooms in all rooms. were I coming back I would try to book the same place.
Mooi gelegen, comfortabel huisje. Het heeft alles wat je nodig hebt en de openhaard zorgt voor de rest. Het huisje ligt op een paar minuten lopen van zee. En verder een prima uitvalsbasis om Connemara te verkennen.
Cloon Cottage is an excellent base for exploring all that Connemara has to offer. The cottage is very comfortable & very well equipped too.The view from the cottage is breathtaking and it is such a peaceful setting one feels completely away from the world. We found so many wonderful beaches and our favourite was Omey Island. We would definitely recommend the cottage to anyone wanting to get away from it all.
Very warm hosting, The hostst did take care of all of our belongings. The stay was great and we felt very well!
We enjoyed every minute of out stay in Spiddal The thatched cottage was just what we dreamed of. The owner made us so welcome and the welcome pack provided kept us going till we found our bearings. Our dog Tubby loved it also and we all thought bad of leaving. We are planning to return again next year...So thank you once again for a lovely time..
Very enjoyable stay. Walking distance to village, Connemara national park and short drive to some beautiful beaches. Would definitely stay again.
It was generally a good stay, however on arrival it was clear the cleaner had not finished. A bucket and mop were at the front door . A full refuse bag was left inside the front door , the double room bed was not made up, there were very few towels and a damp one left hanging on the bathroom door. The rug in the main reception room also had a lot of dog or cat hairs. The following morning while we were in the living room the cleaner came into the apartment unannounced and obviously expecting it to be empty and was maintaining that some other people were to arrive the next day although we w...more
Great house, great location. I would definitely book again. A couple of great beaches within ten minutes walk.
We had a fantastic week in Kylemore Lake Cottage. The cottage has stunning views and is so comfortable and clean and had everything we needed including turf and logs for the fire. Geraldine the owner was very friendly and helpful. Our dog Charlie enjoyed it too we will definitely be returning in the future. Thanks to Siobhan in Connemara Costal Cottages who was so kind and helpful
Close to local attractions, comfortable bed - and friendly owners. I appreciated the laundry facilities.
Such a lovely cottage, feel like leaving a bad review so others don’t discover it and we can keep it for ourselves ;) It’s fully fitted with everything and anything you could want. Very clean, lovely lay out and so spacious, really cosy at night couldn’t hear road or wind over mountains. Excellent location for us with our dogs as nice and quiet and fairly secure that we could enjoy relaxing outdoors with them. We couldn’t get oven to work but as the weather was surprisingly lovely it didn’t matter as wee bbq’d. Clifden is only a short 5min drive away. Just perfect
Great for family and pets ,can not praise the accommodation highly enough. Beautiful view of mountains and Fjord. Had a very relaxing stay and enjoyed all the magic of Connemara and found our host Fiona very friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again!
Stayed here over Christmas in a family bubble. House was spotless with evidence of covid measures taken. Location was fabulous overlooking a lake with Clifden and Letterfrack within easy reach. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The living room has a great stove for winter stays. It would be hard to find a kitchen better equipped. Everything the most demanding cook would require was on hand. We would love to return in the summer. A super house.
The cottage is a short walk from the village in a very quite location. Visiters have their own hens and can collected eggs everyday, a nice touch. Despite being behind a bigger property there are good views of the sea and the village. There is a small beach just across the road. We would stay there again.
I stayed at this cottage over the Christmas period and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is beautiful and remote. It’s very well equipped and the cottage was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. If staying out of season I would really recommend extra warm clothing. . The garden is safe and well enclosed. The housekeeper Maureen was extremely helpful and friendly.
This cottage is situated on the Aughrus peninsula not far from claddaghduff and cleggan. The cottage is well appointed with 3 bedrooms, one with ensuite. The views from the main bedroom are beautiful with the sun setting over the Atlantic. The living space is comfortable with recliner and large tv with Netflix which was a bonus. There are 2 fantastic beach in walking distance. All in all the cottage ticked all the boxes for us
We had a wonderful stay at Caher house and were welcome by Theresa whom was always reachable on the phone if needed - the location is easy to find and in front of a small lake - about 15min from Clifden city which is perfect to plan activities in Connemara area. Count almost one hour though to rallye Galway but honestly Clifden beats it for authenticity and pubs like Lowry's just make it a place to go. The house is huge and over equipped with multiple bath/shower/toilets which is perfect for a stay with multiple couples - but there is a twin room which could be fine for kids. Would definitivel...more
Good location and had everything we needed. Very friendly and helpful host. Small but as seen in the photos and very handy to have utility room.
Me and my family stayed for a week (6 of us) and it was amazing. Great safe beach across the road for the kids. Lovely food in the local pub. If there was one down side it was the house was so big we needed more family with us :-) I will be returning as soon as I can.
The house is in a beautiful scenic location. It had everything we needed and we used it as a base to explore the area. The house could do with a good clean. There was evidence of dust and cobwebs throughout the house particularly as there is so many pictures etc in the house. In saying that it was comfortable and homely. The road up to the house is very rough and rocky so be careful driving in and out of the house.
Friendly, accommodating house owner. Clean house with everything we needed. Only minor issue was coming out of the driveway was quite blind, and the cars go quite fast, maybe cutting back some shrubs or a mirror. Just an idea. Otherwise all was perfect. House was immaculate. Thanks
We had a wonderful stay in Westry Cottage. The location is perfect for anyone looking to get away from it all - no internet, TV or phone signal (unless you sit in the window seat) - it was just what we were looking for. The cottage is fairly basic but had everything we needed for a week and the views across the lough to the mountain provided us with all the entertainment we needed as we watched the constantly changing weather patterns sweep by. While the location of the cottage is secluded it is also within easy reach of Connemara's many attractions - a beautiful beach just a couple of km aw...more
Our stay was wonderful. The house is very comfortable and the view is spectacular no matter what the weather. The hotel facilities on the doorstep are superb. Bar food is great for a quick fix but restaurant is of a very high standard. Service and attention is top class. Apart from beach you have to drive to all the sites but they are well worth a visit. We recommend diamond hill and kylemore abbey. Weather is a bonus so pack for all seasons. Local shops have most items and Cliffden is 20 mins away for a big shop. We will definitely be back
Comfortable, coastal cottage with well sized bedrooms and good facilities. Stunning location and great base to explore the area - Roundstone, Clifton, and many attractions. Swimming from end of garden at high tide.
Overall, we enjoyed a very comfortable stay here. The heating was very good and worked a treat while Storm Bella raged outside! The only criticism we had was that the mattresses, pillows, duvets and bed linen could do with replacing. Warm regards, Pat and Barbara Dublin
fab place, old fashion cottage. open fire, some fuel would be nice bins were confusing, we took our waste with us
Location is very private with stunning landscape, yet only 10-15 mins drive from mini supermarket, restaurants, bars, island ferry and horse riding in Cleggan. About 25mins drive from Omey island....my favourite place in Ireland. House very well equipped for kids, games, DVDs, and beach toys. Kitchen well equipped too but oven not really hot enough for cooking - BBQ outside. Overall, a highly recommended property.
Beautiful location there are just a few things that should be sorted with the property. The house has damp on the inner walls in the bedrooms which leave a musty smell not good for people with chest ailments. The incline up to the gate badly needs repairing as there is a large pothole and a lot of loose gravel that cause the wheels to spin as you drive through the gate. The heating within the cottage needs to be updated it states on a laminated piece of paper on the wall in the kitchen that the fire heats the back boiler which it certainly doesnt. I found that out when the immersion switch wen...more
We had a great few days on Inishboffin, . Our hosts Brenda & Siobhan were very helpful before & during our stay. Our cottage was very comfortable and was ideally placed close to harbor, hotels, bars etc I cannot recommend highly enough a visit / vacation to Inishboffin. it is a beautiful unspoiled island with wonderful walks walks to suit everyone. We will definitely be returning in the future. Regards The Hughes clan
This cottage is in a great location opposite dogs bay. Ellie is a lovely host, very welcoming and happy to help. She provided lots of peat for the fire. It’s a great place to stay.
This was a great place to holiday with my family the owners of the house were brilliant and there was nothing too much for them. And for the Connamara Costal Cottages were amazing they were so Acommadating would 100% Recommend as from extra bedding to fewl for the fire were all included they were great
Had a super time, very impressed with how the hotel managed everything. Fabulous location. The only thing was we found a lot of dog hairs around the house when we arrived. Other than that everything was perfect. Thank you
This very spacious house is ideal for a large group/family. It is located near beautiful mountains for walking, beaches fishing, Kylemore Abbey, Clifden Leenaun to name a few. The house is a student house and needs to be upgraded for tourist market. Some utilities were not working - one shower, cooker, lightbulbs missing, dryer clogged. However the host was most accommodating to help make our stay enjoyable. Recommended on the understanding of foregoing comments being rectified
Positives - Gearoid is very friendly and had the wood burner lit when we arrived. Lovely views from the back across the mountains. Neighbours at the top of the lane were very welcoming. Centrally located in Connemara so access to places of interest was fairly easy. Suggested improvements. House needs to be thoroughly cleaned and cleared. There were items such as Christmas cards and personal belongings in drawers in one of the bedrooms and living room area. Floor in the living room area was sticky underfoot. No shower curtain/screen so floor in bathroom becomes flooded. Kitchen utensils w...more
Didn't match the photos online. Leaking washing machine. Insufficient delph. Damp and musty, no guttering, stagnant water at rear. Walls throughout had been touched up in patches with a gloss emulsion on a matt finish. Needs a deep clean.
