Such a magical place the photo's do not o it justice. The garden was much bigger than expected. We loved the little walk down to the creek. The cottage was wonderful, clean, bright and had everything we needed. We found some great walks for the dogs and the location of the cottage made it very easy to drive to many places.
An ideal location for visiting IOW. A comfortable, clean flat with everything one needs and a view. Friendly owners.
Fantastic house it was ideal to host the bridesmaids in with great facilities and plenty of room for the bride and 6 bridesmaids to get ready in. Gorgeous views and great size balconies. We all had a brilliant stay and would highly recommend the house as somewhere to stay.
This was our second visit to the Stables and we enjoyed it as much as the first! It is comfortable, clean is an excellent location with stunning views.
We stayed at Little Grosvenor during the Easter holidays with our 3 small children. We had a really happy restful holiday and the apartment was fantastic. The rooms were cleaned beautifully for when we arrived and everything that you would need for a week was at hand. Claire (the landlady) was very welcoming and helpful. She provided a fantastic wooden cot and box of toys for the boys and gave us excellent recommendations about where to visit and eat. A very happy week in a lovely apartment.
The lodge is at the entrance of a private one way road which serves a number of residences and the former Manor House which has been converted to apartments. The area is very quiet. There is parking for one medium sized car , anybody with two cars would have problems as there are double yellow lines throughout the immediate vicinity. This lodge is located within easy walking distance of Shanklin Old Village with its good selection of pubs, restaurants and cafes. The beach and esplanade are also an easy walk but some may prefer to use the lift(which you have to pay for)rather than walking b...more
Excellent. I loved the fact that you can open the back gate an emerge into fields and footpaths. The place is also on an off road cycle route and we had hire bikes delivered to make use of it. The accommodation was ideal with an extra little tv lounge in addition to the kitchen-diner very useful. Clean and well stocked although a couple of deckchairs or recliners would have been good as well. Plenty of space around for the kids to kick a ball. Easy footpath into Godshill from property. Can't fault it really and can imagine it would be very cosy in the off season with the underfloor heating and...more
Loved this barn, plenty of room for the eight of us who stayed. Right on the off road cycle track so we hired bikes and cycled from the door without having to go near a road, ideal for the younger ones. Always stacks to do on the Island and we could not fault either the property owners or Island Holidays, both of whom were exceptionally helpful.
Wonderful happy family times spent in a wonderful comfortable house we would certainly recommend it.
Quite simply the best holiday cottage we have ever booked. View from lounge and garden was superb and badgers visited every evening. Just perfect
The cottage was excellent; clean, well equipped and in an excellent location. For a family of five it was ideal, beds were comfy, rooms spacious, bathrooms modern with good showers. There was lots of space for everyone and the garden was wonderful.
We had a great time! The cottage has gorgeous grounds for the kids and is ideally situated. We loved our welcome basket and the cottage was very well equipped - thank u!
This was a great location with a good bus connections to Newport/ Alum Bay and located in the rural, beautiful and calming area. Ideal for someone who loves peace and quiet. Great, very comfortable, cosy and clean apartment, very home-like. The apartment allows a lot of privacy but there are very friendly and helpful owners nearby. Each week, I had fresh eggs from chickens living on the farm. Chickens were also poping up occasionaly to say hello and to have some snacks:), I found it cheerful and very relaxing. Highly recommended place.
We stayed at 'The Squeak' on IOW for 4 nights, from 3rd - 7th April 2017. We found the place absolutely spotless, beautifully furnished with everything you could possibly want. The people were very friendly and helpful. We really did not want to leave. My husband and I have been visiting the IOW for many years and without a doubt this place is one of the best, if not the best we have stayed in. We look forward to staying again very soon.
The apartment was a late choice when the one we had originally booked became unavailable. Although initially disappointed it did not have a balcony the sea view is very very good, there is also an allocated parking space on the car park opposite the flat which is a great bonus when you return as it saves searching for a space on the street. It is also in a good location as it is between the shops and the beach so only a few minutes from both. The apartment has everything you may need, and is both comfortable as well as very nicely decorated. The only negative thing I would say is that the ma...more
We had a lovely week stayed on as the weather was so good. Have stayed here a number of times and t never disappoints
We had a great stay in Apple Tree Cottage. The house was perfect and very comfortable for our family holiday. Children loved the trampoline and the story books. Owner was very helpful when we had a query.
Lovely bungalow in a great location. Our only negative comment is the lighting outside the bungalows is none existent which makes it very dark when returning at night. Otherwise great stay. Lovely holiday. Marilyn
Dave and I's stay at The Hideway was one to remember. You never know what to expect when booking online but we were both pleasantly surprised by the size and layout of the accommodation, together with the amenities on offer. The only thing that caused a little discomfort was the matress on the bed, as it was like we were sleeping on a board. However, I am sure we may be the minority in our preference for a soft matress. The location was very central, plus we were on the first floor and had views across the neighbouring farm. As wildlife watchers, we were very happy to sit and watch ...more
New and modern apartment which is fully equipment all to high standards. Was very impressed. Very spacious and comfy. Plenty of car park space. Nicely located away from the high street in a quiet location. Ideally need a car in Isle of Wight to visit all the attractions with families. Would highly recommend Yewtree.
2017 was our second stay at Rofford Lodge and we enjoyed the holiday just as much. The property was clean, comfortable, well stocked and perfectly situated close to footpaths and the lovely town of Yarmouth. The only downside was the lack of shower in the upper bedrooms.
Loved the Brewhouse. It was more than we expected & I'd definitely recommend it to others and return myself. It has everything we needed. Such a comfy stay.
What a wonderful holiday in a lovely village and a beautiful home. It was our first time to the Isle of Wight, and we loved it. The house is perfectly situated to see the island if you have a car. The Old Court Wing was very very clean, well set out and had all the mod cons that you need. It would have been more convenient for us as 4 adults and 2 children if there were a shower in the main bathroom as well as the ensuite but this would not put us off staying there again in the future. The only negative was that the wifi is not very good however we think this is typical of the island. T...more
A lovely, well equipped cottage in Bembridge. Being just a couple of minutes walk from the pretty centre of the village and all the shops you could need, whilst just a few minutes further from the picturesque harbour and wonderful beach by the lifeboat station was a godsend. The cottage is comfortable, well equipped, and there are nice touches - tea and coffee available on arrival, a bottle of wine if you need it, a shed with crabbing nets and the like for the kids, a comfy garden with a BBQ (the butcher just a few minutes away does amazing sausages!), TV with iPlayer and stock of board games ...more
This is a lovely apartment, comfortable and very well equipped. There are sea views from the front bedroom and lounge which also has patio doors onto the balcony. Booking was very efficient. The owner was very helpful, and all the arrangements went smoothly.
Our second year renting out this cottage. It has absolutely everything you need and we packed a lot less second time round. Very clean and warm house. We actually did our laundry ths year before coming home which was great. Probably won't be back to IOW again for a few years but will certainly look into renting the same cottage again.
The location of this house couldn't be better. Just across the road from the beach with the most amazing views out over the sea. It is also only a short walk from shops/bars/restaurants etc. We found we used the beach more because we could just pop over for an hour or so whenever we liked without needing to get in the car and try to find a parking place. This was especially good for our youngest child who one of us could just bring home when she'd had enough. The house is lovely and clean and very well kept. The lovely big dining table is perfect for the size of the house. The only downsid...more
We booked through island holiday homes and found it extremely useful because they supported us in all relevant ways from contacting the owner to booking the ferry and local support upon arrival when we noticed that some documents had stayed behind. The accommodation was perfect and in a perfect condition for our small family of four.
Iduna did feel like a home from home for us as a family, we relaxed as soon as we arrived because it was just like the description and photos we had viewed when booking and was better than we had imagined. The house was comfortable the kitchen was well stocked all the utensils you could need for cooking and we enjoyed many happy meals we cooked and prepared in the kitchen around the dinning table. Our son loved the PS3 and many games he had to choose from and he loved his bedroom. We liked Freshwater and the house being so close to the shops and restaurant's and a football/basketball court...more
We were welcomed by the owners who made our stay enjoyable. Thanks to the owner for their kindness and looking after our needs
We had a great week here. The house was big and clean and nicely furnished and well located only 5 mins walk to shop and beach. No parking but it is available on street or in car parks nearby.
We are a family of 5 and all had a wonderful time in Bembridge staying at Mariners. The house is so homely and clean and was just what we were looking for. Perfect! We will definitely be looking to return :)
We had a super 2 week holiday celebrating 2 birthdays and enjoyed every bit of it - even though the weather was typical for March - wet and windy! There were 8 of us in all in the family and the house was excellent for us all, being spacious, warm and homely . There was everything you could possibly want equipment-wise, shops very close by and we were very impressed with the friendly local people. Fabulous views. Plenty of restaurants in town too. Wendy, who welcomed us was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend the house and have in fact given out the address already.
Unfortunately, one had taken ill. So left quite early. Non drivers. Bus stops were a problem. I booked this holiday for my auntie and uncle.
My family (2 adults, 2 children & baby) stayed at the Grainstore for a week in the October half term and had a fantastic time. The property was perfect for us in terms of size with a modern and fresh feel. The owners live in the farmhouse next door and were very accommodating and helpful. We are fussy with high standards and I was a bit worried as the photos on the website don't really do it justice but we were pleasantly surprised and would recommend to anyone else.
My wife and i stayed with friends in this lovely,well equipped,nicely situated cottage. Although just about out of season if the weather was bad the cottage offered a large conservatory to relax in or a dinning room with table large enough to eat or play games ( supplied }
If you are travelling to the IOW in a large group then, Sloent Landing is the place for you. Everything you could want is provided so no need to fill the car with half your home. Clean and very, spacious with room to seperate warring children. The level of comfort is extremely high and location is perfect for beach lovers, walkers and foodies. Highly recommended and wouldn't hesitate to book again
A big, beautiful, family-friendly house in a lovely village location - we felt so lucky to find it!.
As a party of 6 adults, we have had a wonderful Christmas & New Year stay. The cottage has an ideal central location, never far from any point of interest. The houseis really spacious and very comfortable, with 4 large sleeping rooms + a studio which was very convenient for our 2 students who had to prepare themselves for exams. The garage with its ping-pong table, snooker and darts were very welcome for entertainment, and the washing machine and tumble dryer were so useful ! The kitchen has all appliance you could need and the living room has a cozy wood burner for the very long winter evenin...more
Have stayed in this delightful cottage a number of times It is totally delightful Right in the centre of Yarmouth but very private and quiet
A comfortable house in a good location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, The Lifeboat pub in the East Cowes marina is very close buy and does good meals. A Waitrose is quite near and Osborne House is also nearby.
Good weather helped but we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in the apartment. The accommodation was very comfortable, very warm and relaxing. We did not lack for anything and the views from the apartment are outstanding. We did need to arrange for a change of towels and linen as we were there for two weeks but the agents facilitated this, .......but it should be routine. We would happily return and would love to do so...thank you.
A lovely bungalow that felt like a home rather than an holiday let. Well situated for access to the town and all facilities. Also close to other attractions in the are. The only criticism is with the shower in the main bathroom which was scalding hot and could not be regulated. A couple of other clients had made reference to this in the visitors book. An electric shower would solve the problem. Overall a lovely place to stay.
This was our second visit to Beachside in Bembridge. The location is wonderful, with the sea at the end of the garden. We look forward to returning again.
A fantastic holiday home in an ideal location to explore the Isle of Wight. Furnished beautifully and everything you could need provided. Highly recommend staying there.
The cottage is lovely and we found it certainly had more than we needed for our stay. Gorgeous character and fabulous garden too! However our mattress (green room) was not comfy and definitely needed changing. We would love to stay here again and would definitely recommend cottage if the mattress was new so that we could have a good sleep whilst enjoying holiday and cottage! Otherwise we loved it!
This house and garden was all I'd hoped for, to accommodate our family party of 8 adults, 3 children aged 3 to 8, and 3 babies! The large sunny kitchen was where we spent most of the time when 'at home' but it was also useful to have the number of other smaller rooms. The garden was great - plenty of room for all kinds of games. We could have done with a bigger frig (for 14) but the rest of the equipment in the kitchen was good quality and wide-ranging. Location also excellent!
We really enjoyed our stay at Bellevue Road--perfect location, comfortable and stylish, well-equipped kitchen, all the baby things we needed (travel cot, high chair, toys, dishes), and wonderful weather to boot! We'll be back.
A warm welcome from the owners plus a were tasty sponge cake. The apartment was a home from home and was nice and handy for the restaurants and shops and other amenities. The location was very quiet and peaceful. All in all we made a good choice.
Comfortable modern flat with lovely view over the marina. Very well equipped kitchen. Furnishings, linens etc were clean, fresh and relatively new. Storage heaters made a big difference as the weather was beautiful to look at but still chilly. Slightly off the beaten track but a Waitrose and Co-op within 10 minute's walk and a very nice pub/restaurant within 1 minute's walk meant that didn't matter too much and we could enjoy the lack of traffic noise. Instructions for finding the place, and the parking space in particular, would have been helpful.
We had a great stay at Morse Cottage which was pet friendly so ideal for our chocolate Labrador. The two bedroom property was spacious, clean and cosy with lots of windows and lovely views of the sea, meadows, hills. Very peaceful and only a few minutes walk to the costal path and the most magnificent views of the light house and sea. Only downside was you had to drive to the nearest shop / pub in Niton as a little too far to walk and no street lights if you were walking back to the property when it was dark.
Hurst View is a lovely home and had the much needed room we wanted. Good location and ideal for a morning walk to the beach for a coffee. Garden was a nice size and lots of equipment in the shed. Only down side is it needs a little attention in places and could do with new saucepans and a new broom. May be time to look at new beds and washing machine. We really enjoyed our stay here and would come again,
Very quiet area local shops excellent central location accommodation comfortable in good condition lovely garden would stay again if ever in the area may benefit from a washing machine but not essential
We really enjoyed our stay at Queensbury Lodge. It is in an excellent location to explore the island. The accommodation itself is comfortable and has everything you need. A lovely home from home.
This was our second stay at Sea Grove. We love the location and the views – amazing to wake up in the comfy bed and look out at the sea! The bungalow is a good size, bright and airy, the shower is decent. The kitchen is nice and big and well equipped. It's easy to walk to the esplanade or into town, or go down Castle Road to the Botanic Gardens, Steephill Cove or to pick up the coastal path. Sadly it's already booked for October half term or we'd be back again.
We really enjoyed our stay in the garden apartment. A very comfortable place in an excellent position in Sandown giving easy access to all the other main attractions. A suggestion for visitors like us who sometimes go out separately would be an extra door key but otherwise a lovely stay. And Bellamys restaurant is to be recommended.
This property was in a lovely situation and ideal for us with 6 adults 6 children and a dog as we had Morse Cottage as well which provided lots of space for everyone including the games room which we all enjoyed. It was a shame that even just part of the grass was not cut as our grandchildren love football and would have been safer than on the gravel. We could have had much better BBQs and therefore did not use them. The shower in the room by the front door was difficult to use and in the well equipped kitchen the dishwasher needs sorting out. Control knob loose and cutlery basket was broke...more
We had a fabulous stay at Ningwood. It's in a excellent location for getting around the Island and is very peaceful for those wanting to relax. The apartment itself has a perfect layout, was clean and well equipped for self catering (we are used to taking our own tea-towels and a few utensils, toilet rolls and cleaning products etc but saw we needn't have brought them as all were there in the apartment). My 7 year thought it was amazing and didn't want to leave. Would definitely recommend Nigwood and will most likely stay again.
With the small exception of there being no real garden (for dogs) and stairs being very steep (although this is mentioned in the blurb) the cottage was exceptionally well equipped and we enjoyed our stay there.
This was a clean and tidy modern holiday bungalow, well equipped for four people. The setting was excellent offering lots of green space adjacent to both a nature reserve and the beach. There is easy access to beachside walks and the cycle way to ride. Ventilation needs to be carefully managed to minimise condensation in cooler weather. We enjoyed our stay.
The apartment was very clean and comfortable and the large balcony a bonus. The only two negative were that the cooking equipment (saucepans etc) needs to be renewed and the car parking arrangement needs to be dealt with as our reception from the hotel owner was not all good. The position of the parking space differs to that of the small map.
Excellent location and lovely house. The stairs are indeed very steep, another handrail would be useful. Yarmouth is really delightful and the location means there is an easy flat walk into Yarmouth for your fresh morning bread.and croissants.
We had a fabulous week at this property. It is really a home from home and we were all very comfortable. We enjoyed walking in to the village of Bembridge and down to the beaches most days and ventured further afield to other attractions on the island. The location is good but the parking is a bit of a problem which wasn't that clearly explained in the instructions we were sent. This wouldn't put us off returning.
Good clean house with all the basics you would need. Easy access and parking was useful and found the kitchen well equipped. Enjoyed the jigsaws and a chance to relax as a family away from too much technology!
Quay Cottgage provided us with a comfortable base for our stay. The location is great for a short stroll into town which has a number of shops and places to eat out, also just across the estuary from the Bargemans Inn for good food and atmosphere. Access to footpaths and cycling tracks is easy and right on your doorstep but if you wanted to travel further afield then the central location means you can get to anywhere by car (or bus) quickly and easily. The cottage is well equipped and has lovely neighbours. The garden is a sun trap and provides a nice spot to sit and relax. Could do with a li...more
House is much better than it appears from frontage. Light, bright and airy inside. Kitchen well stocked with cooking equipment. Be careful on stairs as steep and painted white on stair and walls. Main bedroom very comfortable. Beds in twin rooms are more suitable for children. Plenty of space throughout the house for six to spread out and do separate activities. Nice, sunny and safe outdoor space. Space for parking a large car tight but manageable. Great information package, please read it as it is really useful. Location is lovely. Bembridge has great facilities for fresh food and there is a...more
We enjoyed our week in Yarmouth. Admirals cottage is minutes walk from the shops and there is a good selection of restaurants. We paid for parking in the local car park which was 5 minutes walk to the cottage and we used the pass in all other towns on the island. The kitchen is well equiped but we felt that the old mattresses and bedding were definitely due for renewal and that the cottage could do with a little maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs.
Great location in the centre of Ryde and only a short walk to the sea front, shops and bars. The interior of apartment itself was newly refurbished, smart in appearance and comfortable. The usual essential items were to be found with the kitchen being capable for those evenings where you want to 'stay in' and cook. We were a little disconcerted with the security of the apartment, as it shares a common entrance into the ground floor/rest of the house. As such, the occupants of the ground floor (which does have a locked door), could simply walk down the stairs into the basement apartment. ...more
Our family holiday at Salt Pot was one of our best holidays. It's located in very quite area . Local people are so friendly.
The location of the house is excellent with only a 10 minute walk to the beach. The off road parking is hard to negotiate for large cars eg MPVs. After staying there a number of times we feel the house is now very much in need of a good overhaul. The dining room needs new a new set of chairs as the current ones are sagging on the seat so you can feel the wooden frame of the chair making them very uncomfortable. The conservatory is in desperate need of re decorating to get rid of the mould growing up the wall near the plug sockets and the blinds need cleaning/replacing. The damp musty smell in ...more
