We all had a terrific time at Muckrach house as it is such a wonderful place. Decoration is fantastic, facilities outstanding and the beds were super comfortable. There were 6 children with us and they didn’t want to leave. All in all, we thoroughly the house.
We had a wonderful stay at Glenmore Lodge. The Lodge was warm cosy and luxuriously furnished. It had everything we needed and then some. The views to the Castle are lovely. The Lodge is in an excellent location and within easy reach of local attractions. We will be back.
We all had an amazing time staying at Gulabin Lodge. We were welcomed by the owner who was very friendly and approachable, who showed us around the whole house. The accommodation is well stocked with everything you would need and very comfortable. Great location if you’re looking to do a lot of outdoor activities. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.
Really enjoyed our stay at Coorie Lodge. Was well equipped, comfortable and in a good location. Very handy being right next to cycle route 7!
We could not have hoped for a better place to stay than The Old Minister’s House. Let me first say, the location of this property cannot be beaten if you want to be in the heart of everything that is going on around the Cairngorms. The house was spacious, comfortable and clean. Has the most amazing boot/drying room for anyone sharing this house on a ski trip I would imagine it would be perfect. Couldn’t recommend this enough. Will have to come back in the summer months and enjoy sitting by the river on my balcony.
Just after finishing a short week at Speyside Suite ..it was fabulous.. We stay away a fair amount and this property was right up there amongst our favourites... Immaculate..finished really well.. excellently equipped kitchen with all the trimmings.. stunning bathrooms.. again with high quality trimmings..great shower..big fluffy white towels and full size luxury products.. Super dog friendly too we will return here for sure x
It's just outside Dulnain Bridge, which is around 20mins from Aviemore. It's in a quiet location, with 3 other properties attached to it. The layout was fantastic, the photos on the website don't do it justice. 2 x beds covert into twin / doubles. There was ample towels for everyone, including a small amount of tea / coffee and milk on arrival. There were also logs, firelighters and kindlers to have a fire for at least 2 nights, with more logs available outside. The only issue we had was when the fire alarm went off one morning ( toaster ), so we had to call Maintenance, as there was ...more
Loved the lodge. Very comfortable weekend. The owners obviously try to think of everything. Welcome was lovely. Obviously they have an independent frame of mind when it comes to comfort.
Station Cottage was the perfect location and space for our family of 5 (2 adults, 2 kids and dog). The cottage is beautifully decorated and laid out, super clean, with all the home comforts for a relaxing stay. The main bedroom with ensuite shower room and doors onto the large garden was so relaxing, and the kids loved their room with 2 single beds and bunk beds. Location is great, right next to the Speyside way and a stones through from the local farm shop and cafe. Nethy Bridge is the ideal location for accessing a range of activities, loads of forest walks, beaches a drive to the north, Avi...more
Stayed at Batvattan for 1 week. Place was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. My only issue was the showers which as an elderly partial amputee would benefit from non slip mats and grab rails. Transport is needed from this location. Generally speaking we had a pleasant experience.
Bennachie has everything you need. Very much home from home. We had a couple of issues but GNL’s replied very quickly and we were reassured by a quick visit and that the owners would be notified and if we had anymore issues, to get in contact with them immediately. Will definitely rebook in the future.
This was our second visit and we had a wonderful time. Great location and excellent facilities for our family. Everyone just loved being back again!! Thank you, We would highly recommend this property.
We had a nice stay in this house however the photos of the property we felt were deceptive. There is a very large and noisy main road right at the bottom of the garden between the property and the beautiful view. The photos do not show this as they are angled specifically to avoid it however its the first thing you will notice if you had expected a secluded retreat. The hot tub is nice but watching and listening to traffic go by was just not pleasant for us and we were very disappointed.
Very warm, comfortable and spacious lodge in the heart of Speyside. Close to woods and walks and lots of nature. Excellent local shops and hotel nearby. Great base for exploring the Cairngorms and Moray coast.
This is a compact, modern apartment located in the heart of Aviemore village, ideal for access to all local amenities. The apartment was immaculately presented and also allowed dogs which was our main reason for choosing this particular property. I do worry though that with its pristine pale grey carpets, furniture and walls that it may only be a matter of time before its dog friendly policy changes! I do hope not though as we would definitely return to this particular property on future occasions. It is adequately equipped with almost everything you need for a short break (although my o...more
Once again Great North Lodges was AMAZING! We use them regularly and they never let us down, every property is fantastic, great location, clean, comfortable and creates a lovely atmosphere for the perfect weekend away. Hot tub, table tennis table and garden were great for a sunny weekend and the social areas great for sitting, chilling and chatting! We will be back again, and again oh and probably again :)
We chose The Neuk for our family Easter break. Great location, and a fantastic home, fitted out internally to a very high standard. Great open socialising and eating space, with a cosy area to relax and watch TV. Amazing log burner, with fuel supplied that really made for cozy evenings, playing board games with the grandkids. As ever great property and location from GNL. Highly recommend that you place yourself in their capable hands when choosing a stay in the Cairngorm area.
Booked this Lodge reasonably last minute for a much needed break away for the family, Booking process and communications were excellent and clear. Location was great - quiet, peaceful, scenic and far enough away but close enough to civilisation to make any day trip drives short. Added bonus is that local supermarkets will deliver to the lodge - made such a difference - our delivery slot was when we were due to arrive and as we pulled up to the lodge, the delivery van also appeared and within 30 of arrival we were sitting down in the lounge with a drink in our hand, the car empty, the kid...more
Overall we had a great time at the cottage and would happily return. Bottle of wine and wee welcome treats were an appreciated nice touch. It was a wee bit difficult to find as the postcode and Google maps didn't match and family arriving in the dark were back and forth passing it a few times. Lovely walks on the doorstep too. In better weather you can have a picnic by the river just a ston'es throw from the door. We would suggest a general spray and a few extra cloths for cleaning surfaces and extra dish cloths for drying would be useful. As would a wire brush for the BBQ grill and mor...more
We had a wonderful week in 2 Queens Houses, Aviemore. Thé location was perfect for walking and cycling. The views from the house are spectacular, watching the weather changes on the Cairngorms was fascinating. The house itself was very comfortable and very well equipped. Having a hot tub and sauna was a huge bonus, the family loved relaxing there after a day out walking. The house is very spacious with plenty of room to be together or having your own space. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone who loves this part of the country. A very minor disappointment was the furniture in t...more
Our second time staying at Heather Lodge and most likely be back next year. Love the privacy of the garden and the two seating areas, the hot tub is magical at night time. It’s near shops and take aways as well as a short walk to Aviemore Centre.
Lovely cosy cottage, felt welcome as soon as opened the door. Cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Hope to return again.
The location is so peaceful and offers wonderful views of the countryside. It's in easy reach of lots of great things to do for all ages. The house was well equipped however the cleanliness of the property let it down a bit for us.
Beautiful cottage in a gorgeous location. Can access rothiemurchus and loch insh v easily . Would highly recommend
14 of us stayed for a long weekend and there was more than enough room for us all. The garden was great for home-made sports day and the hot tub was a treat! Indoors the table was large for us to gather round which is where we spent most of our time and the kitchen fully stocked. The two sitting rooms were also very comfy. All the rooms we used had en-suite bathrooms which was a bonus with 14 females. The toilet seat was wobbly in a couple of the bathrooms and one of the door handles was a bit loose. There were two areas of upstairs carpet with stains on them but other than ripping them up and...more
We had a fantastic week at Black Grouse. We are a party of 6 adults and 2 kids, the house has plenty of space for everyone, with a large lounge as well as seating areas around the house and a large dining table which can easily seat 12. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms had great showers. The kitchen is well equipped with a range style cooker but one oven door didn't shut properly and the fridge freezer is quite small for the number of people that the house can hold, there is another small fridge but a big fridge freezer would be a great addition. The hot tub was a favourite for ...more
Even the kitchen knives were sharp ... Huge grounds. Great location. Comfortable. Would def recommend
Just had a great week at the cottage. The facilities are excellent as is the view from the lounge . The big glass windows and log fire are perfect. Our only slight issue is the description of the studio that’s within the grounds. It’s literally right outside the front door and feels slightly strange knowing someone is living there. It just makes you slightly conscious that you’re not totally alone. Given it’s advertised for romance and honeymoons, it’s just something to be mindful of and maybe a little clearer on the website. Apart from that it was perfect and we would definitely book agai...more
We have just spent a long weekend at Red Fox Lodge. This is the fourth time we have stayed here and where a little worried with some of the comments in past reviews. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment and quality glasses. The location and the house are amazing. The house is quirky but stunning. The main bed is so comfy. The hottub is an added bonus. Bigger tv maybe but the one there is a good one.
Hot tub looking a bit old. Tied marks on walls of tub. Lights not working next to hot tub. Sauna not reaching temperature. Door on wood burner needs fixing not shutting properly. But did have a great time . Good location. Nice to have fire wood supply. Would stop again. Just needs a little maintenance. Thank you.
What a setting! Beautiful house with everything you need for a break away. Great space for a large group and the games room is an added bonus! We had some spring sunshine and a dusting of snow which was lovely and added to the tremendous views. We did not want to leave! Thanks for having us Beddengorm, we will definitely be back.
We use Great North Lodges a good few times throughout the year and have always had good service. We enjoyed our stay but the house could do with a bit of a freshen up. Decor is now tired throughout.
This Lodge has everything you need for a comfortable relaxing stay. Great to be secluded but the location is close to lots of things to do, including Aviemore.
We were delighted with Twa Hoots Lodge. We chose it for its handy location which allowed us to walk from the door - up the river, through the town, to local pubs and cafes, and explore the surrounding countryside - as well as being a short drive from lots of excellent hill walking. We also enjoyed a hill trip with the Cairngorm Reindeer Herd. The lodge was homely, warm and cosy, clean and very well equipped. A very comfortable bed and a good shower were also welcome after a day on the hill. The owner was very friendly and helpful when we contacted her with a few enquiries about our stay.
We loved our week here. Very tranquil surroundings. Garden lovely for sitting out in and hot tub was a luxurious touch which we used at least once a day. Fantastic location for Landmark and other local attractions. Would definitely stay again. Great to have a washing machine as well as dishwasher. Our 6 year old really enjoyed the lodge and the stair going up to the bedroom.
