This was our second stay at 8 Hicks Court. We enjoyed it so much the first time we had to return. It is so close to the beaches, harbour, shops and restaurants. We find the ground floor very cosy. Because it is central it is easy to pop in and out as we please. The parking space means we can go out to visit other places without having to worry about finding a parking space when we return. It is lovely to find a welcome pack from Cherished Cottages with good quality products. The team are very helpful when booking and if you have any queries or problems whilst staying in their cottages.
We stayed at 1 Ship Aground for a week and we could not fault it at all. Christine was extremely helpful amending our booking due to personal circumstances and answering any questions we had. The property is homely, cosy, fully equipped with everything you would need for a holiday and in a fantastic location. The welcome pack was generous and thoughtful and the views were amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and will definitely return.
I loved staying at hardy’s studio. It was so well designed and had everything I needed. Great location close to the beaches. Loved the welcome goodies too. I hope to be back.
Bellair house is situated in a wonderful location. We were able to spend a fantastic week with a perfect view for the New Year firework display. The house is contemporary yet cosy and very well maintained and equipped. It would also be perfect for a summer holiday break as the outside patio space is delightful.
We were so pleasantly surpried and very happy and extremely comfortable staying in Bay house will be back again this year. The drive down from London Heathrow to St Ives was long but so worth the trip. Our family loved it too.
We stayed here over Christmas. Plenty of room for 2 adults and a dog. Room for 3 others but would suggest children, as would be cosy for 5 adults. Very clean and great location being able to park at the train station £15 for the whole week.
Beautiful location, and amazing 360 views from the loft bedroom - you can see the harbour and Porthmeor. This one is v comfortable and warm, great bathroom and def has the wow factor. Had a great stay.
We - 3 generations/7 adults/3 young kids and a dog stayed in Atlantic Watch for a week in late October/early November. It’s a brilliant house in an excellent location. Really well fitted out. Totally suited to our mixed requirements. Go there and have an equally fantastic holiday!
We used cherished cottages several years already. First time stayed at West Coast House, the location was fantastic, only few mins to Portmeor beach. The house has been redecorated, clean and modern. The rooms are extremely spacious. We had a great Christmas. Thank you once again.
Seascape is a beautiful and very well maintained property with perfect views across St. Ives and the bay. Shops, the Tate Gallery, St, Ives Island, Porthmeor beach and other amenities are all easily accessible on foot, although some of the paths around town can be steep and pose a problem for the disabled. I would not recommend driving to Seascape in a large vehicle as the streets in the town are very narrow, especially the access road to the parking space for the property.
Everything was perfect, easy to use website, follow up emails informative. Access to property was straight forward. High standards inside property, all needs catered for and a lovely welcome hamper, much appreciated. Will definitley be returning.
The property was spotless and nicely presented. Really good shower in main bathroom. Great convenient location, with access to shops and a number of beautiful beaches. Reduced stars for comfort as one of the double mattresses had collapsed which made for a very poor nights sleep. This has been fed back to cherished cottages who I hope will fix that for future guests.
Cherished. Cottages staff have excellent customer service …. Before booking anywhere in St ives I would recommend a chat with the team to make sure it suits your needs . They have many beautiful properties …. I have arthritis so some of the staircases are too steep for me and my husband has a pacemaker so can’t use an induction cooker. We love the cottage and have stayed many times, it has everything you need and right in the centre. The owners really look after the cottage. The sofa is firm and comfy. The bed is so comfortable you don’t want to get up. I can’t praise cherished team e...more
The house is in a great location, well equipped and clean, the only thing letting it down is the furniture is starting to date. The lack of parking for at least one car is an issue, if you leave to explore the area the chances of parking back in the carparks you have paid weekly for is difficult during the busy periods. The 9.00am check out is early, especially when you have to load upto 4 cars and little ones, with no where to park.
We have stayed at Sailfish Cottage many times we feel very much at home there, I have lost count exactly how many times! it is great to be just a few yards from the harbour and a big plus is that the cottage has an allocated parking space just around the corner. It's nice knowing what to expect when we arrive after our long journey from Kent and we get settled in and can relax right away. How fabulous it would be if this lovely cottage was situated the other side of the road with harbour views. It's not a problem though as the harbour views are just a few steps away! Sailfish is a fabulous c...more
We discovered this gem two years ago when renting the small cottage opposite. It is the perfect place to not only spend time observing the constantly changing seascape with its wonderful palette of blues and greys but to enjoy a daily swim in the sea from the small beach just below the house. No matter the weather the walks that take you around the four different beaches that St Ives has to offer bring you back to enjoy the view of the changing tides from both the kitchen and the lounge above. The downstairs wetroom is perfectly positioned for your return from the sea after an invigorating swi...more
2nd time we've stayed - great apartment as they all have been with Cherished, will stay again Just to note - coffee table had a couple of large chips in the paint and the ensuite sink had a chip on the edge of the sink which weren't there last time we stayed.
We love this house, it is beautifully presented, well equipped and in an amazing location. Every time I walk into the upstairs sitting room I am hit by the stunning view of Porthminster beach across to St Ives harbour. Nothing is too much trouble for the team at Cherished Cottages who work hard to ensure everything runs smoothly. They can’t control the weather of course but even in November I have been out on the balcony eating my breakfast listening to the waves and drinking in the view.
A fab house with plenty of room for a multi generation family. Lovely kitchen and dining area. Spacious bedrooms and good bath and shower facilities. Our second visit to this house as it completely meets our needs including two parking spaces.
Wonderful stay, cottage is warm and cosy, wood burning stove was a bonus. Very close to the beach, and pulling up outside was possible, ideal for unloading. Would definitely stay again. Not used Cherished Cottages before, absolutely no complaints, everything was managed in a polite and efficient manner. Perfect week away...
Great place in great condition - ideal for our group (4 adults 2 kids). Love it and re-booked for next year
We have been staying at Westholme for 2 years in a row. Amazing sea view, location to Porthmeor is excellent. The house us equipped well, for 2 families. Our children had a great time surfing. Tim and Chrsitine from cherished cottages are also excellent, respond to all our request really quickly during our stay. We have already booked to come and stay again.
Wonderful little house and the pictures just dont do the views justice!! Fantastic location and the private parking was much easier to negotiate than some previous reviews have mentioned and weve got a fairly substantial 4x4. The private garden and seating outside was lovely even in January. The finish in the house is to an exceptional standard, well equipped kitchen, nice seating areas and the views from the master bedroom must be among the best in St Ives. Moments from the beach, harbour and shopping areas but still really quiet in a lovely residential area. Lovely and clean and nice, pers...more
Another wonderful Christmas spent at lobsters residence, location is absolutely fantastic with everything on your doorstep (including free parking if you’re lucky)!! For the money you could do with a few more bits in the kitchen, more knives and better utensils wouldn’t go unnoticed! The stairs aren’t ideal for kids, very steep and narrow so not the easiest for carrying little ones up and down. The only other thing is the check in/out times, we managed to get in at 2 which was ok but the check out at 9am was a bit early, seems to be a whole day you’ve paid for but only get a couple of hours ru...more
Stayed here for one week middle of September, accomodation is very clean, and looks newly refitted - lounge/kitchen area is well equiped, decent size sofa, average TV, with internet, kitchen has nice new cooker and microwave, with dishwasher and washing machine, could do with more cuttlery and crockery as you need to wash up or put half a load in dishwasher each time you eat (minor problem but would save energy), Bedroom is a bit tight for space, but there is plenty of storage for clothes for a week, bathroom is nice size and new, only small complaint was noise from the road outside the bedro...more
Excellent stay in a beautiful little compact and clean apartment with lovely views across Porthmeor and beyond.
Lovely time, great position,Clean warm and comfortable.Wonderful views, would definitely stay again.Everything we needed was there lovely welcome goodies ,was a nice touch thank you . Xx
We stayed here in September 2020 and knew when we wanted to book again with family this was the place to stay, it’s a great size for 5 of us, all the rooms were big including the bedrooms and great having two en-suites and a bathroom. Perfect having a secure garden too if you take a dog with you.. Overall a brilliant place to stay and only 5 mins down Bedford Road into St Ives, we will definitely stay again when we come as a family.
4 Island Road is a well equipped, comfortable cottage in a fab location. Easy access to unload car, excellent welcome pack and great communication from Cherished Cottages, Close proximity to St Ives beautiful beaches and only a short walk to the harbour or main street - ideally located if you want to be in the heart of the town. Another fabulous week spent enjoying Cornwalls little gem
The apartment is well presented and equipped. The views are spectacular and there is always something to see! As soon as you open the front door the scene in front of you takes your breath away! The sofa and bed are comfortable; the added bonus of the bath with a view gives a touch of luxury. The shower is powerful and plenty of hot water. The added bonus of a washer/dryer and a dishwasher makes a difference. No parking was not an issue for us as we traveled by train. We were grateful to get an early check in and the apartment was spotless. The information and service provided by Cherished Co...more
