Westholme is a spacious, light house with fantastic views over Porthmeor surfing beach. Perfectly situated by St Ives' most popular beach and with the added convenience of parking for 2 cars, and an electric car charging point, Westholme is a perfect holiday home.

We have been staying at Westholme for 2 years in a row. Amazing sea view, location to Porthmeor is excellent. The house us equipped well, for 2 families. Our children had a great time surfing. Tim and Chrsitine from cherished cottages are also excellent, respond to all our request really quickly during our stay. We have already booked to come and stay again.

We have stayed at Westholme many times. We love the views along Porthmeor beach.
The house is well equipped with everything we need and also has a driveway which many properties don’t.
Lovely walks along the coast or into town where there is a great choice of places to eat.

Westholme is a great holiday home with lots of space for 1/2 families. The rooms are all large, decorated to a good standard, beds comfortable and the lounge on the upper floor has great views of the beach. There is a good sized kitchen with all the equipment that you need, a nice patio to the rear, parking or two cars and a utility room at the rear which has boards, suits and buckets and spades for respectful use.
There were a couple of niggles , nothing major, no barbeque and the on site welcome brochure said hot water was always available which led to cold children and a call to the helpline to sort out. The response was very quick and helpful from Cherished Cottages but avoidable as it was just a setting that switched the water heating off during the day
Would recommend this house for a good break close to the beach

Sadly, we are not allowed to provide BBQ's at any of our properties for insurance reasons, but you are always welcome to bring and use your own. The hot water was easily solved and we are always on hand on our emergency phone to quickly resolve any guest issues, take care, Tim.

From the outset of planning our break to st Ives the team at Cherished Cottages were incredibly helpful at helping us find a family friendly property that matched our requirements.
Westholme was wonderful, the location is great and just a couple of mins from porthmeor beach, but far away to feel out of the main hustle and bustle. The house itself is beautiful, big practical kitchen, bright and comfortable bedrooms, one with the added bonus of sea views and the other one with access into the stunning private courtyard garden, which itself it a lovely place to spend some quiet time and is a peaceful suntrap.
The main highlight of the property though has to the the main living room, with a balcony overlooking Porthmeor beach and vast sea views. We spent mornings having breakfast together watching the fishing boats going back and forth and lovely evenings watching the sunset with a glass of fizz feeling very content.
We would whole heartedly recommend this property to families wanting something special.

What a fantastic property which was well presented and extremely comfortable, a home from home! Lovely welcome hamper as well. Stunning views over the beach from living area, separate dining room again with sea views and a range of board games great for rainy days. Supurb utility room with all you could need for the beach such as chairs, surf boards and wind breakers. Yes it's a short steep walk up from the beach but we already knew this before booking, we parked the car up and enjoy a relaxing break, wondering through the streets of St Ives and walking along the coastal paths. Steps up to the front door can be avoided by using the side kitchen door if needed, as there are no handrails by the front door. We would highly recommend and love to visit again!

Stunning house, absolutely beautiful. Large spacious accommodation with really modern and comfortable furnishings. The location could not be beaten. All round a really gorgeous family holiday home with everything in it you could want for a perfect holiday! The parking for two cars was really useful. The outside space was great and in the summer months would be amazing for alfresco dining. Maybe it needs a bit more attention and preparation for visits during the winter months.

The house and its location is stunning, ideally located above Porthmeor beach with a view across the beach and bays.
The decor perfectly complimented the location and views, everything you needed was in the house. There are even beach chairs, boards, windbreaks and wetsuits it you needed them to use on days at the beach.
Clean, comfortable and a dream location for us. We will be back.

Had a lovely stay in Westholme in fact stayed last year (2021) and came back again this year! Everything you could want in a home, we have had a very comfortable 2 weeks. Very clean when we arrived and a great little bag of goodies to start us off. Absolutely stunning views from the upstairs lounge. Will definitely be staying again!!

Beautifully decorated property. Fully equipped kitchen with large range of pans/ casserole dishes etc.
Very useful outdoor eating space with outdoor shower for wet suits etc.
Fabulous upstairs lounge with beach views over our favourite beach Porthmeor.
We will definitely return

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Westholme. The property was fully equipped for 2 families sharing and the additional beach accessories were most welcome. No matter what the weather brought us, the view from the property was fantastic and you always felt part of that magnificent coastline. Cherished Cottages were fantastic to book through, so much so, that we're already booked in another property for Easter 2022! A wonderful stay at wonderful Westholme :-)

Another excellent stay in Westholme - it’s ideally placed for the beaches, getting into town (shops/restaurants) and for walking along the coastal path. The driveway is also a big bonus, parking in St Ives is very restricted and a guaranteed space actually at your rental property is wonderful.

What a lovely find.
Lovely modern house with everything you would need, including amazing views.
We had a lovely week , despite the wet and stormy weather. Had plans to watch the sunset but manged to storm watch instead.
Property is lovely with will fitted out kitchen, beautifully decorated bedrooms, great utility room with spare surfboards as well.
Welcome pack was delicious.
Loved it so much, already booked for next year!! Hope to watch the sunset over Porthmeor next time.

Fantastic house in a great location just a short walk to the town. Amazing view from top floor balcony we had a brilliant time sat eating our breakfast and early evening drinks looking out across the beach.Decor really lovely and the kitchen had all the equipment you need for self catering. The welcome hamper was a really lovely touch and flowers on arrival. The beds were really comfy and I am fussy about my bed so slept really well whilst we were there.
Parking was great as so many of the properties in St Ives have small car parking spaces if any at all which you really do need as parking is a nightmare in St Ives in the main holiday season. Room for 2 smaller cars, 1 large one , and space on street shared with neighbor opposite if needed.
Nice seating area at front and back also .
Would definitely book with Cherished Cottages again and may even return to this one in the near future as it has all we needed.

Westholme is ideally situated just above Porthmeor beach with wonderful views. The bedrooms are all of good size and comfortable for eight adults. The total area is also young child friendly with large open area downstairs and the upstairs lounge. The property exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended

Westholme was a superb place to stay in St Ives, it was spacious, clean, tidy, with an excellent view and very well located. In the week we were there we didn’t need to move the car once ; beaches, shops and loads of restaurants were in easy walking distance. On longer trips we used local busses which ran frequently, parking being a nightmare in the area. We will come back to Westholme and this area in the future.
