I have now stayed at Wharton Lodge cottages many times and, as always, Nicky and George were extremely friendly, welcoming and hospitable. Harewood cottage was immaculate as always and despite the very hot weather the hanging baskets in the courtyard looked wonderful. This is an excellent location to visit the beautiful countryside and towns and cities nearby. I will definitely be making a return visit as soon as I can. Helen
We have been visiting Wharton Lodge Cottages for the past 14 years every year at least once. During this time we have experienced every cottage, all the beautiful outdoor amenities and find them above reproach. These delightful cottages are situated on the cusp of the Forest of Dean with all of its scenic beauties to visit. They are situated on the main A40 route between Gloucester and Hereford to act as the backbone to access the treasures available. There is a wonderful kind of slowing that Wharton Lodge encourages (which may be reflected in the tardiness of this review; the slower vibe has stayed with me, despite the usual busyness of life taking over, once home again). At the same time it quietly invites you to explore different places and try new experiences. And there is plenty to see and do in this stunningly beautiful area.
