Great base in the heart of Yorkshire with lots to see & do all very near by. Fantastic to have exclusive access to the swimming pool during a heatwave; kept us cool & calm. Visible but not intrusive/ overbearing hosts that were accessible if you needed/ wanted. Considering a follow up visit in multiple cottages for extended family. Would heartily recommend if peace, quiet & countryside is what you are looking for with a short journey to lots of local amenities & attractions.
Spent time here with our daughter and young granddaughter. Stargate provided as it's an upstairs apartment. Nice to fine plastic cutlery and bowls etc. A beautiful location with good places to eat not far in the car. Having the animals for company was lovely. We used the pool everyday but could have used it more if there was an optional booking system to maybe pay for extra as the week we were there no one seemed to use their slot. Remember to bring pool towels too. Towels in the apartment are not very big. Bath sheets would have been nice. A lovely family friendly location with gorgeous view...more
Lovely cottage situated in a brilliant location to visit West and East Yorkshire. Very comfortable stay, cottage very clean. The onsite pool made the holiday, time slots given so you can have the pool to yourself.
We had the most lovely stay at Old oak Cottages. Owl cottage was beautiful, our host Amy couldn't have been nicer. My Grandson absolutely loved Griff the pony who is the sweetest little Pony he also loved feeding the chickens. The views of the white horse are amazing. Just a really lovely place to relax also brilliant base for visiting various places. Sutton Bank is a must as the views from the top are breathtakingl.
Our second stay at Old Oak Cottages, a beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean lodge with every amenity you could possibly need. Three good sized bedrooms, large lounge/dining area, kitchen, utility room and hallway. Two bathrooms to use and a downstairs cloakroom with a toilet and shower. Whilst staying at Old Oak Cottage’s guests have the use of a large indoor swimming pool, each lodge has their own private time ( we needed to change our time on a couple of days and Amanda accommodated us on both days) there is also a communal time too. This was our third visit to Old Oak Cottages and the welcome was as good as ever. We had one minor problem around EV charging but that was fixed promptly
This is the 4th time we have stayed at Old Oak Cottages - it's one of our favourite holiday locations. Amazing value for money, the cottage is absolutely lovely - spacious and well fitted. The swimming pool is the children's favourite part of the cottages, it's a brilliant facility and well maintained. The owners are friendly and helpful and it's the ideal get away. The farm is beautiful - we will absolutely be back.
