Great Christmas break for 5 nights for our family of 7. Enjoyed by all aged 12-76. Nice little welcome pack. We made use of the indoor heated swimming pool and all weather tennis courts. Enjoyed country walks. Visits to Thirsk and Ripon lovely villages. Shopping in York at the Boxing Day sales at Mcarthur Glen Outlet. Would recommend to friends and would stay here again. The cottage had everything we needed and was very spacious and comfortable.
We wanted to thank you both for our lovely Christmas stay in Beaver cottage, it really did have everything we needed, I was even able to cook a full Christmas Dinner, without issue. The chickens and pool were the highlight of Ivy’s stay along with the small toddler friendly play area, she adored the chickens. My highlight was one very crisp evening when the dark sky showed me a lovely display of stars. The cottage was perfect for our multi generational break and gave my granddaughter some much needed rest before her C section in a few days time. The added disability aids certainly helped ...more
Our second stay at Old Oak Cottages, a beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean lodge with every amenity you could possibly need. Three good sized bedrooms, large lounge/dining area, kitchen, utility room and hallway. Two bathrooms to use and a downstairs cloakroom with a toilet and shower. Whilst staying at Old Oak Cottage’s guests have the use of a large indoor swimming pool, each lodge has their own private time ( we needed to change our time on a couple of days and Amanda accommodated us on both days) there is also a communal time too. Lovely accommodation, it was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, fully equipped kitchen and the welcome basket and dog pack were greatly received. The location is rural but lovely, we loved the morning visits from the chickens and there is so much to see and do in the area a short drive away. The added bonus of the swimming pool on site was brilliant. All in all a great place to stay.
We wanted a quick relaxing break away to recharge before the madness of Christmas and Fox at Old Oak Cottages was perfect. A swim each day and the beautiful county of Yorkshire to explore was ideal.
