Just perfect in every aspect. Location, lots of places to visit within easy driving distance, perfect views at every turn. Beautiful cosy accommodation, all within immaculately tended grounds. Ample and easy dedicated parking, brilliant step by step guidance on how to find this hidden gem amongst wonderful tranquil surroundings. A welcome basket did indeed make us feel welcome, as did lovely friendly and helpful Amy! What a find in glorious Yorkshire!
We loved our stay at Beaver Cottage. Our 2 small children were well provided for with the pool, play area (particularly the trampoline), stair gate, high chair, cot etc. The location was perfect for coast and inland exploring and the team were very helpful when we needed to contact them.
Owl Cottage was a delightful base for our weekend break for my husband's birthday. It was spotlessly clean, beautifully fitted and furnished with everything we needed, and in a gorgeous, peaceful location. There was a comprehensive information file in the cottage with details of local walks and attractions, and recommendations for local shops, restaurants etc The welcome pack of local produce was a lovely touch - and there was an additional one for our dog which we appreciated (and so did he ) Disappointingly, we weren't able to take advantage of the 'extras' that we had anticipated - the s...more
We’ve had a truly lovely and relaxing break in Mouse Cottage. Cozy, warm and beautifully decorated — everything about it has been perfect. We usually come with friends and family, but this time it was just the two of us — a great opportunity to get to know the area better and make great use of the book in the cottage. We can highly recommend visiting the abbeys and Ripon Cathedral. We also enjoyed wandering around Northallerton and Helmsley on market days. We wanted a quick relaxing break away to recharge before the madness of Christmas and Fox at Old Oak Cottages was perfect. A swim each day and the beautiful county of Yorkshire to explore was ideal.
