This property was perfect for for our family requirements. Lovely social areas and cosy quiet corners. Lovely grounds, Quiet, clean. Lovely welcome - fresh eggs and milk and a homemade cake alongside the essentials, coffee, tea etc.

We absolutely loved staying here and would highly recommend. Only one very slight negative - the pool was a bit on the cold side for the adults, but this didn't stop the children enjoying a fun swim.

Property very well equipment - plenty of glasses, cutlery, dinnerware etc. There were even doggie treats and dog shampoo (needed for our country walks!).

Overall - this was perfect for our multi generational family get together.

We stayed in The Farmhouse with our family for a long weekend to celebrate my 60th birthday. We couldn’t have chosen a better place. The photos on the website don’t do it justice. The house is beautiful, really well equipped with lots of space for everyone. The swimming pool was definitely a highlight of the weekend, especially for the grandchildren. The games room was also well used. Being February the weather was a mixed bag but we managed to get out for a lovely walk.
On arrival we were met by Laura who showed us around the estate. She was lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful.
We will definitely return to this property, perhaps in the summer to make the most of the stunning beaches and moors which are very close by.

We spent a week at the Farmhouse over Christmas and had a fantastic stay. The house is absolutely beautiful inside and out and is extremely spacious which was perfect for our group of 8 adults and 8 children ranging from 8 months to 14 years. The team were extremely responsive and always available for queries, even over the Christmas break. There were also estate staff around at the property to help if needed. The swimming pool was brilliant for the children who maximised their slots every day.
The only slight negatives I would share is that there were no toiletries in the bathroom which we were surprised at given this is a luxury property. The kitchen also could have been better stocked with the basics such as salt and pepper and more tea towels, kitchen roll etc. the coffee machine was great but you need to take your own beans. Perhaps a pod machine with pods available would be better. We also had an issue with a broken bath in the master suite which caused the floor to flood and the radiators were quite temperamental in some rooms. Other than those relatively small details everything else was excellent. Do make sure to give it a good clean before you leave and make sure all rubbish is removed as we had missed this was expected as per the booking terms and were charged extra for cleaning.

The Farmhouse proved to be the perfect place for our family get together. Not so easy to achieve when there are 3 generations.
Lots of space, places to sit & dine. Plus the swimming pool was excellent. Archie & the team made us all so welcome. We would love to do it all again!

We had an absolutely fantastic holiday at Mornacott Cottages! The cottage itself is a beautiful building, full of charm and character, and it was just perfect for our family. Everything was spotless on arrival, and the attention to detail really made it feel like a home away from home.

The kids adored the games room and pool – they could have spent all day there – and the chicken tour was such a highlight for all of us! We also loved learning about the really interesting conservation work happening on the wider estate; it made our stay feel that bit more special knowing the care that goes into the surroundings.

It was the perfect mix of activities and relaxation, and we left feeling completely refreshed. We can’t recommend Mornacott Cottages enough and will definitely be back!

We booked as 4 couples and 4 children and the farmhouse was absolutely perfect. The interior design is high quality and comfortable. There was everything you need for a group of friends to eat, drink and be merry - with more glasses than even we needed!! The big dining room and table are a brilliant place to gather. The kitchen has more than everything you need - 2 dishwashers are a must! And really comfy beds. Our kids (and adults) loved the Games Room and the pool and the whole place was just perfect for a long weekend.
