The nice people in the Lochearnhead Hotel called it the "Upside Down House" because the kitchen and living room were on the top floor, up a spiral staircase. All four bedrooms were clean and spacious. The kitchen was stocked with all the dishes and appliances we needed for our two week stay. The view was absolutely breathtaking on the top floor deck, and also up the hill behind the house on a freestanding wood deck. One of my fondest memories will be watching the meteor shower with my sons up there while looking down over the loch, with a crystal clear sky full of stars overhead. We really lov...more
This is a lovely log cabin in the grounds of the owners' mature garden overlooking the Falls of Dochart. The view from the patio doors in the main living room is fantastic. We had a lovely welcome from Jan and Mike who showed us the features of the cabin and then left us to it. The cabin had everything we needed for a week's stay and was very warm and cosy. The log burner in the living room was a nice touch, as was the welcome "pack" of wine, chocolates, shortbread and milk! We even had a visit from the free range chickens on day 2! There are many pleasant walks in and around Killin, whic...more
The wee house is a lovely place to stay, we were made to feel very welcome by Louise. The property is in a beautiful location with lots of amenities close by. We look forward to returning to the Wee house in the future.
We had a really relaxing Christmas beak in this deceptively spacious cottage. The location of the cottage is great, the falls of Dochart out the front of the property, these could be seen from the upstairs lounge. A 10 minute walk to a decent size Co-Op, pubs and restaurants even closer than that. Lovely walks right on the doorstep. The cottage was spotless, newly renovated and decorated to a high standard. They thought of everything in the kitchen, it is compact but very well equipped and we managed to cook a huge Christmas dinner for 8 easily. We loved the walled back garden as we were able...more
We stayed in the cottage for 6 nights over New Year. It was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and had everything you could need. The views are lovely and the snow made it even lovlier. The only thing that would make the cottage even better would be a hot tub on the decking overlooking the great views! I would definitely return and would love to stay in the summer.
Used Waterside as a base for a 6 night stay visiting Dunblane, Crieff, Stirling and the Trossachs while we were there. Centrally located for all of these. The cottage had everything we needed and catered well for us and our 5 month old baby. Nice walks in the local area. We would definitely recommend it and look forward to our next stay!
Another great holiday at Allt Beag This time in the snow. The back garden never lets you down for seeing wildlife
Stayed here mid October, lovely cosy lodge to stay. Beautiful views. Very welcoming owners who had left us a welcome pack of milk, water, porridge, jam , biscuits also tea and coffee for our use. Hot tub fantastic ( requires new gazebo cover ). Great location for walking , climbing or just relaxing. Hopefully will visit again next year and would recommend a visit.
All members of the party enjoyed their stay. Easy to find property and very comfortable. Would highly recommend property and cooper cottages
Great stay. Perfect location for what we wanted to do. All rooms en-suite which was a bonus. Well equiped kitchen, but plenty good value eateries in area.
Absolutely beautiful modern cottage and spacious for four people. Loved the under floor heating and the log burner. Enjoyed cooking most nights, kitchen had everything needed. The cottage is in a great location for lots of walking and beautiful scenery. The only disappointing things were the sofas weren't very comfy and the bath could have done with a shower head over the taps, but thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We had a Most enjoyable and comfortable stay, with good facilities ,and wonderful view of LochTay Thank you.
The house was ideal for us, a family of four with two teenagers. The teenagers each had their own decent sized room and we had the one with the generously sized en-suite. The owner had kindly got some basic provisions in for us prior to our arrival. The house is located withing short walking distance of a number of shops and restaurants. We discovered "morning rolls" which we ate with bacon for breakfast and tried out the excellent restaurant next door. Stirling, Perth, Lough Tay and Dundee are all within easy reach by car and there are plenty of activities in the surrounding area. We tried q...more
We loved staying here. The view is amazing. And it is really quiet. You have lots of space. The whole apartment is lovely and modern decorated with love to detail. The kitchen is fully equipped. There even is a washing machine with drying function. The only small downsize was the broken toilet, but that got fixed during our stay. Since each bedroom pretty much has its own bathroom and there is a spare toilet on the upper floor it was not a big issue. This is a lovely place to stay. Can definitely recommend it! We felt like home.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Gilmerton, easily travelling around to different locations. Bryan has been on hand when we needed him but left us alone to ourselves when we didn't. Would recommend Isle of Murray very highly.
My wife and I had a lovely week in Annfield cottage central in town and handy for shops and cafes etc Our hosts were very helpful without being obtrusive and the cottage was everthing we needed ,so thank you for a great holiday Bill and Margaret
The bungalow was everything we expected and more. The location is on a quiet street yet within 5 minutes walk of Comrie centre. Parking off the road, good access to the property. It was very clean and tidy and decor was also very good. Kitchen was fully equipped, lounge was comfortable and the double bedroom also had a comfortable bed. Just what you need after a days walking! The heating worked fine, and the bathroom had a very good hot shower (didn't use the bath). Its nice to have soft water, coming from a hard water area! Having stayed in many cottages over the years, this was defin...more
the location is perfect for water sports and for visiting south scotland, situated at one hour from glasgow, edimburgh, east and west coast. the cottage is perfect in everithing
Very nice and child friendly cottage. Good sized living area and comfortable bedrooms. Enjoyed our stay and will come back
Lovely modernised house, perfect for a family of 4. Kids loved the games room & we loved the log burner!
A great base for a family holiday in beautiful Perthshire. This delightful quirky cottage combines character with mod cons. Clean, cosy and comfortable, a short stroll to the village with brilliant walks from the cottage to explore Comrie and surrounding area in all its glory. Wildlife seen on our walks included, red squirrels, deer, kites, buzzards, peregrines, goshawk, grouse and eagle with numerous birds in the garden, didn't find the otter and the salmon stayed in the river Earn despite granddads efforts! We would recommend Glen Cottage to anyone who loves the great outdoors but doesn...more
Warm, welcoming, comfortable and quiet. Excellent equipment.. we need a longer stay to appreciate it all! Spiral staircase might be difficult for people with mobility problems- but there are four other beds to sleep in, plus two bunks!
Good location and cosy comfortable accomodation. Shop ie Co op very convenient for provisions.. Good takeaway pub/restaurant COURIE nearby
My family and I stayed in Tom ba Voil for our Christmas holiday and we couldn't have made a better choice. Every last detail was thought of by the very generous owners, including a Christmas tree set up and food hamper ready on arrival, with fresh bread from the bakery. It is finished to a very high standard, with spacious rooms. The kitchen is very well appointed, you won't find yourself needing something that isn't there. The surrounding scenery in spectacular. We had a wonderful time and are already considering booking the cottage again - thanks very much.
View Cottage is in a wonderful location, from the bedroom you get a view right up to the other end of Loch Earn. The cottage is well equipped for cooking own meals , a great sized fridge/freezer and a dish washer. We were a bit disappointed that there weren’t any coat hanging facilities and no airer to hang wet washing. The cottage has a conservatory which is lovely and cozy, we sat and looked at the stars at night and watched the sun come up in the morning. We managed a few days out walking doing the Glen Ogle Trail, and walking along the side of the Loch. It is a beautiful area to visit an...more
As always wonderful time in a beautiful place ❤ We try to visit each year and look forward to returning!
Fabulous apartment with a great view over Stirling towards the castle. It is close to amenities and the city centre and located right by the railway station, ideal for trips to other cities such as Glasgow and Edinburgh without the hassle of driving and parking. It is a in a great location to explore the area, includes free parking and is a clean, modern and light-filled apartment with all the facilities and equipment you could need while on holiday. Our party included 3 generations some of whom had never previously visited the area and it did not disappoint. Would definitely recommend to anyo...more
Wonderful cottage with very thoughtful owners who have obviously tried to provide everything to make a stay in their property as comfortable as possible.
Comfortable cottage, welcoming and helpful owners. Ideally positioned for access to the local shops/pubs and many delightful walks.
We rented this house for Christmas and it was excellent - very warm , well equipped and comfortable. The Owner in particular was exceptionally nice and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
Our stay was very enjoyable, arrival and departure was smooth and easy. The location is great with lots of opportunities for walking close by.
Love it, love it, love it. Had a fantastic wee family holiday there. Definitely will be back. Great location.
A spacious house in a lovely location in Lochearnhead. Lots of room to store our bikes in the garage. Furniture and decor very basic but the house did the job for us.
Great cottage, well equipped, lots of space for us and the dog! Great location- only 15mins from Perth, but plenty walks etc round about. Great place to come back to at the end of a busy day with friends and family. Would definitely come again!
Merci pour la cheminée qui nous a bien réchauffés Le parc est très agréable Il vaut mieux disposer d'un véhicule pour séjourner à Almondbank
Good walks around area, cottage is good location to Crieff and Aberfeldy. Cottage was clean and homely. Friendly welcome from owners. For a great nearby walk a visit to Birks of Aberfeldy is a must.
