What a gorgeous village and a stunning part of the world (and Scotland!). Felt so peaceful and undiscovered and one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland we've been to. Bruach is absolutely gorgeous - from the fully fitted kitchen for cooking amazing meals to the bedrooms with views, decking and very comfortable beds, we loved it all. We all agreed - we want to live here permanently!
We had a lovely stay - property was very clean and well equipped. Excellent support for a minor maintenance issue. Would happily recommend and use again.
Second time we’ve stayed here at Brodie cottage still as lovely. Just a short walk on level paths in to village and nice walks around lock Tay. We’ve been to Killin four or five times now never tire of the beautiful scenery of this area and this modern cottage is ideally set up for a restful comfortable stay. Highly recommend.
We were greeted by the cottage owner Tommy, and given a tour. The ground floor cottage/flat is delightful, we felt at home straight away. Everything you could possibly need is provided, including a some lovely welcome goodies. Located in a small village with a brilliant village shop and also a coffee shop. We thoroughly recommend this lovely property in a peaceful setting.
This apartment was spacious and clean and really nice homely touches. A short walk to the golf courses and we even walked into town one evening for dinner. Kitchen was beautifully fitted with everything we needed to make some of our meals at home. Nice quiet spot with outdoor space overlooking trees and deer!
My wife and I found the cottage very peaceful and enjoyed the walks in the area especially the climb to the summit of Ben Vorlic.
I know the area really well having been a coach touring driver but my family loved the views . Just a pity the rain didn't allow us to take advantage of outside seating areas. House was really well equipped with everything necessary for cooking etc..kitchen knives could do with sharpening as preparing vegetables was bit of a chore. Lounge area big and comfortable but one settee beginning to sag a bit but no real problem. Plenty bathrooms (3) so no rushing to beat the shower queue in morning. Only downside was that the 2 doubles up the stairs had poor uncomfortable mattresses and need renewi...more
Spacious and comfortable 5 bedroom cottage in lovely location overlooking the river and a water mill. The bedroom suite in the attic has bathroom & small lounge which has views over the river, and great place to relax. Village of Killen is small, but good amenities and restaurants for size, like the Currie inn, (some places close mon -wed) and the slightly hidden smokehouse at the falls of dochart inn does very good tasting platters.
We loved The Haven! So much room for everyone with everything you need for a weekend or a whole week! A great kitchen and dining area, gorgeous log fire for the evenings. Bedrooms and bathrooms are huge and really comfortable. The Haven is located central to all the areas we wanted to explore. We loved waking up to the sound of birds in the surrounding trees and the river so close we could hear that too. Make sure you do the St Fillans to Comrie walk. It's doable with kids.
Its a beautiful place and has great space. We worked from home for about 10 days and the internet was great. Only had one downside; the check out is at 10am which is extremely early considering check in is at 4pm. I understand the place needs cleaning but seems slightly excessive so early as most places are at least 11am.
A very nice stay in this comfortable, cosy cottage. Lots of space, a very nice big bedroom and wonderful bath. The location is excellent especially if you want to be in Nature quickly, and/or go for mountain walking. The surroundings are simply amazing
Lovely stay at Tomanour. Bungalow provided everything needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely and quiet with great views. Hopefully will be back next year
This is magic place with a fantastiic view at loch and mountains! We enjoyed it very much. Best service!
Taighean Anndra was the perfect house for our family gathering. The house is in a great location and well-furnished. Everything from check-in until the end of our stay went smoothly. One small administrative matter took place after our stay. Grant took care of it courteously and efficiently - his extra effort was appreciated. We would gladly stay at Taighean Anndra again!
The Old School house is a beautiful, thoughtfully restored and well furnished property overlooking Lochearnhead. Upon arrival we encountered a few teething problems but Grant the manager and Linda the supervisor soon sorted them out. We had a very enjoyable stay there and have no hesitation in recommending them.
We had to cancel a foreign holiday due to a family illness and managed to grab four nights in Killin Cottage as a substitute break with short notice. We could not have been happier with the cottage nor the location - absolutely superb. Tranquil views over Loch Tay and we were lucky to get 3 out of 4 days with good weather. The cottage is small but adequate for two people, and it is well equipped. Only problem we had was we couldn't figure out how to work the oven - but it seems it was us misreading the instructions that was the problem. Otherwise perfect place, very clean and even though ...more
We had a wonderful stay at the Fire Station Cottage in Comrie. It’s a beautiful centrally located cottage, with nice bright kitchen and dining room with a cozy living room. Nice clean and well presented cottage. Family of four and we had plenty of space.
Tout était parfait. Malheureusement, nous avons du renettoyer le four, laisser sale par les anciens locataires. Le séjour était fort agréable. Merci pour tout.
Grant at Cooper's Cottages found this peaceful and charming property at very short notice. Throughout my month's stay he could not have been more kind or helpful. He went out of his way to ensure I was happy and comfortable and resolved any queries extremely promptly. I highly recommend this accommodation. It has gorgeous views in the main sitting room overlooking the river Earn. The sitting room is equipped with a wood burner and it's well maintained (during my stay the chimney sweep visited). The accommodation is very clean and the kitchen is extremely well equipped with a very large ove...more
It would have been good to have had a starter pack - milk, bread, tea and coffee. Also there were no condiments, perhaps not enough dishwasher tablets…..
Myself and my son had a great break in this chalet with large gardens and overlooking Loch Tay. Arrival instructions could be improved (ignore the first small yellow sign instead look for a big yellow sign after Stucktaymore property) as we ended up in the neighbouring property’s driveway with heavy gate. Gardens were great and the view too. Chalet was cosy and clean. Only issue was main light in bathroom not working and slightly musty or damp smell in the bedroom but nothing too off putting. Everything else was great.
Property is located in a very quiet, rural setting and is ideally located for exploring Loch Tay area, Trossachs etc. In our case very centrally located for climbing Munros and Corbetts and, given the excellent weather conditions for the week of our stay, we managed a fair number of summits. Kitchen ideal for self catering which can be important given isolated location; bedrooms and sitting room well appointed and sun porch a great place to relax. Wi-fi and internet connection fully adequate for our various devices. Mobile signal inside and immediately around property poor to non-existent (dep...more
lovely place to stay, near all amenities, very homey, but the couches are to low down to sit on esp. for us elderly
The apartment was ideally located in a quiet area away from traffic noise but it was only a 15 minute walk into the village. The apartment was more spacious than we thought and there was enough pans, dishes, cutlery etc to cook a simple meal. It was ideal for a short stay.
