There are , walks in the Forest of Dean, The River Wye offers many activities , Go-Ape tree-top adventure, castles, cathedrals but best of all the scenic, peaceful and relaxing countryside.
A lovely cottage set in the most beautiful of locations. Perfectly placed to explore the area. Our hosts were faultless! Friendly and as helpful as could be. We would definitely recommend, and will be back in the future.
Thank you to Edward & Marian for being super hosts. Nothing was too much trouble, they kept in touch by email everyday to ensure that we had everything we needed or to give local tips. The cottage is in a wonderful spot & has an amazing amount of not cons for those that need special assistance. Unfortunately the weather was pretty bad & local unprecedented flood limited our excursions so we were glad to have a cosy base to relax. Our dog was also welcomed and loved it too! We chose Valley View because it is both disabled-friendly and dog-friendly, but found this to be an understatement! Every possible effort has been put into designing and providing a ground-floor cottage for wheelchair users with a high standard of comfort. Our Labrador dog really enjoyed being there, having 12 acres of land to explore. The owners were very helpful indeed. The location is off the beaten track, and thus very quiet, and yet easy to drive to the numerous attractions in the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean and beyond.
