There are , walks in the Forest of Dean, The River Wye offers many activities , Go-Ape tree-top adventure, castles, cathedrals but best of all the scenic, peaceful and relaxing countryside.
We spent a week at Cider Cottage with our two dogs. The cottage is spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped. Edward and Marian are super hosts, really friendly and helpful. The location is superb set in 12 acres of woods, gardens and orchards which we and the dogs roamed freely. Great location for exploring the Wye valley and the Forest of Dean. We especially enjoyed a long walk alongside the river Wye at Wilton before a great lunch at the White Lion - highly recommended. We had a fabulous 3 night break at this cottage. It was lovely and peaceful with beautiful views. We were made to feel very welcome including our 2 dogs. Tbe weather was very hot, so the shady enclosed patio was a lovely spot for breakfast and during the day.
