We booked the Hop House & The Loft for a getaway with friends after much searching. It was a perfect location and set up for our group. Our dogs were allowed with lots of countryside for walks, The Loft is connected to the main house but also self contained, perfect for the family with young children. We had everything we needed and more and the owner was so helpful pre-booking and during our stay. Would not hesitate to recommend or rebook.
We stayed for a weekend and would go again. The Hophouse itself was fantastic and very well equipped for a us and our wheelchair user friend. The area was great to explore. We had dinner at the 3 horse shoes pub up the road (really good food and a friendly atmosphere) then explored the next day. Would recommend Hampton court gardens for a visit. Overall very happy.
Wow we had a fantastic week over Christmas at The Stables. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to create lovely meals. Surrounding area are beautiful with lots of places to wander and walk your dogs. Bedrooms are spacious with adequate storage. The owners were lovely and nothing was to much trouble and you are able to contact them anytime. Great places to get your family together. My only suggestion is some occasional tables in the lounge. .
Bedroom arrangements were flexible to accommodate 3 generations & 4 individual families. Rooms could do with a bit more storage and sorting space in some instances. Cooking & dining facilities were good & all worked well. Games room was enjoyed and the garden was lovely and usable for games & BBQ. Our family did walks in the Wye valley and on the Malvern hills. Also visited Eastnor Castle (BH activities ++), and Hampton Court Gardens (holiday activities) , and swimming & visiting cathedral at Hereford on a wet day. So - plenty to do.
My partner and I visited from Cornwall to stay for the Hay Festival about an hour away. We absolutely loved our stay, the tack room was great value for the money we paid. Only thing I would earn is that it was tricky for my partner who is a wheelchair user to use the hob or oven due to the positioning of the table, but this was the only problem we had the entire stay and we are already looking at booking again for next year!
A friend and I celebrated our 60th birthdays with a bunch of friends over 3 nights. The property was just right with 2 large kitchens and the longest table ever for meals and games. Great views on all sides. Easy to walk from the door. Great to have a pool table and table tennis. Enough garden space for sitting out and playing games. Plenty of parking. Well equipped throughout. Everything worked. A really good standard of decor and furnishings.
