Five properties set amongst 633 acres of farmland with stunning views to the Lammermuir Hills. Each property has its own outside hot tub, all have ensuite bathrooms.. The Lodge sleeps 2, The Ramsay sleeps 4, The Lamont and The Buchanan both sleep 6 and the Capercaillie sleeps 10. All properties are within walking distance of each other. Many couples enjoy plenty of space so there is a special price for just 2 people in the larger properties. There are lots of walks, treasure trail, puzzle trail, jogging route, woods to explore on the doorstep. The area is renowned for walking, cycling, golf, and fishing. Edinburgh is a half hour away as is the Coast. The Scottish Borders itself has a lot to offer the visitor as well.
Airhouses is the perfect place to unwind. It is one of Scotland's undiscovered gems with a quiet beauty which changes with the Seasons.
We stayed at Capercaillie for a week and even before we arrived we were confident the holiday would be good as relevant information was provided with emails and an app with lots of information and clear rules to make things go smoothly and ensure the environment is peaceful. The house was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and finished to a high standard. . Views and walks around Airhouses were amazing. Our grandchildren loved all the animals who were also friendly. Capercaillie is suitable for wheelchair use with a ramp to the door and a wet room with shower seat and toilet surround pro...more
Our fourth visit but first staying in the Ramsay. We really enjoyed it, such a peaceful setting for a wind down and the weather was wonderful. It's great to see the animals too, some new additions this year as well which was great (Dillon and Lily look very happy!)
Loved the stay in the Ramsay, ample space and it's a great place to relax - a couple of sun loungers would have been fab but I'm being picky. There's lots to do, beit on/around the farm or in the lodge itself - books and games a plenty to enjoy. The shop is really handy too if you need anything extra. I'm sure we'll be back soon!...more
The lodge was perfect for our romantic week long walking holiday in the Borders.
The generally excellent weather made everything look amazing but even on the occasional dull/rainy morning the wee lodge with all its excellent facilities including the hot tub managed to keep us smiling. Would love to be back there one day for another wonderful experience in the borders.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with the family. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful and quiet. The Buchanan was really lovely, very comfortable and had everything we needed. Sitting out first thing in the morning taking in the views or getting into the hot tub was just bliss! The place is very well set up and we felt very welcomed and looked after. Also the gift pack was so thoughtful and nicely done. The farm shop was great and well stocked and I especially loved that there were so many products gluten free (being intolerant to gluten myself). There is a lots to see and do around the a...more
