Great stay. Beautiful views. Fantastic big hot tub and loved the bbq house. Top end finishings and nice welcome pack. Maybe slippers with the robes would be good.
Well into double figures staying here, the peace and quiet is unequalled. Everything you need is here. The views are just perfect and the hot tub provides the ultimate relaxing place to finish a relaxing day lazing in the sun. Or you could go for walks around the farm and meet he animals.

Just had another fabulous stay with 3 friends at the Buchanan. We had a few visits before Covid, then after a break, we decided to visit again. Thank you Carol and family for the lovely welcome back. The Buchanan is a beautiful property in a stunning location with gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside especially from the hot tub. The house is well equipped, quality bed linens and towels etc and the beds are like sleeping on marshmallows. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. Don’t forget to bring a bag or 2 of carrots and apples for the cute donkeys, sheep, pigs, alpacas, Shetland ponies and...more
We stayed in The lodge which is perfect for 2. Lovely and peaceful and beautifully clean . Loved the rain shower and arran toiletries . Nice wee complimentary goodies as well. Damian was friendly and helpful and lots of lovely animals there too. Perfect place to stay for peace and quiet and the hot tub was great
Our third visit to the Rowan Pod. We love the privacy the space around each lproperty gives. The pod is warm, well equipped and clean but obviously it’s not spacious. BBQ fuel is provided for the separate little “Hobbit” hut and a large fridge, microwave and games are stored in the extra shed. Hot tub under the sun or the stars is fabulous. Wild life and rare breed animals are plentiful and the table tennis addition is inspirational. Ready meals, eggs , honey and basics are available from the honesty box shop. A very special place.
