Myself and my partner stayed at the boathouse, it was amazing!!! Stunning panoramic views, no people, peace and tranquility. We would highly recommend to anyone. Being off grid was exactly what we needed. We loved being surrounded by nothing but nature. The Eco friendly lodge has been very well thought out, it’s modern, comfortable and has everything you need whilst remaining sympathetic to it’s natural environment. Superb! Lovely location Lovely accommodation, spacious, clean & comfortable Lovely swimming pool Games room - ping pong was good, but sadly a broken cue - so no playing pool for us Walks & cycling can be done from the door Friendly and helpful staff A nice break was had by all
This is our second stay in the carpenters cottage, kitchen needed a bit of a clean down when we arrived but nothing too bad. All pots/ pans you would need to cater for yourself as there is very little in the village. Welcome tray was very basic so we didn’t use that and booking said there would be treats for dog/ kids which there wasn’t, this didn’t detract from the stay though. The beds were very comfy, nice and cosy heating and plenty of hot water for showers. Kids loved the pool which we didn’t get to use last time we visited. Sure we’ll be back as we have family in the village!
Loved our stay here - comfortable, great big double bed and bunk beds small but fine for little people. Like the pool facility too
The spacious house, ideal for 4 people, was a big surprise, because it was a great deal for the price. For trekkers is ideal, as you can access very remote areas within 30-40 minutes drive
