My husband is in poor health and was confined to the lodge for a lot of the time. He found it comfortable and warm. This left my son and I to walk knowing he was okay. There are a lots of walks just around the area we loved it. A week was too short but better than nothing. The journey time from door to door was ten hours with two people sharing the driving. From one end of England to Appin that is excellent. The roads are excellent all the way.
Me and my partner was second time. Very nice place for people who like the mountains and want to go out from big town and stress. Very quite. The best sleeping in my life!!!
Lovely location and great modern caravan, with fabulous views and very easy access to the beach. The Creagan Inn 5-6 minutes along the road from the site is a great watering hole and eatery. The owners of the site, Jim and Julie Weir, were very friendly and welcoming and ensured that we had everything we needed. This is a great area to visit, the site being in a beautiful setting on Loch Creran, and there is also easy access to Oban and the Glencoe/Fort William area. Can't recommmend it highly enough and will very probably return for another visit for more rest and relaxation.
We had great time considering the weather which was quite wet. Caravan was a nice comfortable place to come back to at the end of a long site seeing day.
Can't be beaten for scenic value, friendly staff and a great pub within a stone throw. Handy for Oban, Fort William, Glen Coe and a wee trip to Lismore.
On arrival nobody was in reception. Called them on the phone and was told that our caravan was ready with the lights on and keys in the door. The caravan was absolutely beautiful, lovely and clean, modern and very spacious...I have never seen so much room in a master bedroom in the caravan. The only thing I would say is missing is somekind of table lamp in the lounge because you either had to have the main lights on or off, no in between. Just note that you are quite remote so there is minimal lighting around the caravans but this didn't bother us at all. The loch view was stunning and fro...more
lovely place to stay, very friendly staff, lodge's clean and comfortable would recommend this to friends and family
Had a great stay here. Very spacious caravan (a little older than the other models but very comfy. Had everything we needed and more. The owners were lovely and very helpful. Beautiful spot on tbe loch - I would stay again.
This is the fourth time we have stayed with Jim and Julie and the quality of the grounds and facilities improves year on year. We love the caravan, the double glazing combined with a very good heating system makes it super cosy. The shower is also excellent, nice and powerful and stays hot. On arrival the lights were already on and the heating was ticking over, its these small things that make you feel welcome. On another note, the view is to die for, wildlife in all its varied forms can be spotted throughout the year from pine martens to otters, seals, oyster catchers and plenty of shell...more
We spent 3 nights in the Cherry Tree Lodge and loved every minute. The location is stunning and the condition of the lodge is impeccable. Great customer service and was so impressed by the facilities both in the lodge, and also in the grounds of the holiday homes. Can't recommend this place enough! A huge thanks to Jim and Julie for allowing us to have such an awesome start to 2018. Slainte! x
Clean, warm, convenient and very well equipped. Beautiful location to boot. Just a lovely, lovely lodge. Definitely will book again, and we’ll definitely stay for longer next time.
We had a lovely (if slightly soggy) week at Appin Holiday Homes. Our caravan was clean and fresh for our arrival. With the front windows looking out onto the grassy area our son could play happily with us able to keep an eye on him when prepareing dinner etc. But also with cracking views of the loch when sitting snugly in the corner. While the weather was, shall we say, changeable, we had good family times catching crabs, skimming stones and paddling in the loch. The grassy area was great for playing all sorts of games and cycling round. We also borrowed a set of boules from the games room...more
Perfectly located with wonderful drives to Oban, Fort William and Glen Coe. The cottage was better than I expected with all the mod cons you will need and the rooms are very spacious. A short beautiful walk down to the local pub which serves great food. We will definately book again. The Weir family which own the site are very welcoming and helpful.
Another fantastic stay at Appin Holiday Homes excellent customer service as always. Can't beat the location scenery or local amenities.
The Lodge was Clean, Tidy, Comfortable and Well Located with a good view of the loch. It was used to serve as a base during a visit to undertake a few days winter maintenance on our boat located near by. We would use it again.
The caravan was spacious, immaculate, plenty of hot water, great shower pressure, comfy mattress. Julie and Jim are relaxed and friendly and let us stay an extra night at short notice. Amazing views out across the Loch, plenty places to visit and great places to eat nearby. We loved it!
Nice location and nice cabin lodge. Everything was clean and functional. WiFi only worked reliably in one room. Otherwise met all our expectations. Dogs loved it and some nice paths on the grounds to walk the dogs.
Great location for a dog friendly family break, our second time here and we will be back again. The owners are very friendly and welcoming too!
