Loved our stay in Beech lodge, we only stayed 2 nights and regret not booking for longer. The setting is absolutely idyllic and the hosts, Jim and Julie, are only as visible as you need them to be. We only had 2 interactions, both with Julie, and she was extremely pleasant and helpful. Other than that, they left us alone to enjoy our stay and we knew they were close by if needed. We also have to mention the beautiful card and flowers they left for us for our anniversary, a lovely surprise! Thanks so much, it was a really nice touch. The lodge itself was lovely, warm and clean. Plent...more
Normally we stay in the chalets but we had the chance to stay in the caravan for a few days, really enjoyed being right by the water,s edge, very relaxing, we will recommend them to anyone, great wee site, can't wait to return,
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful location. We look forward to staying again. The property was ideal for our stay with all needs cater for.
Lovely comfortable caravan in a beautiful location, good shower and everything you needed for your stay
Yet again a fab stay in a beautiful location. Everything you could ask for. The lodge is beautifully decorated, well equipped and very comfortable. The grounds are lovely and the location is excellent. Couldn’t ask for more. Jim and Julie couldn’t be more helpful and really make you feel welcome. Looking forward to our next stay
Great location. Very lucky with the weather. Enjoyed our stay very much. Nice to show our friends some of the places we have visited in the past. Hope to return sometime.
Had a great stay here. Very spacious caravan (a little older than the other models but very comfy. Had everything we needed and more. The owners were lovely and very helpful. Beautiful spot on tbe loch - I would stay again.
Arrived to find the cabin fresh and tidy. Some coffee, tea, hot chocolate, few biscuits and few milk pods were welcomed after a long journey. Would be even better if we have found a small loaf bread and some ham or eggs to welcome us too. Tastefully decorated. Quite basic but very pleasant. Any children would have found the site great to do outdoor adventure activities with a rope swing and a start of a shelter built on the edge of the woods. Would visit again even though for just 2 of us it was quite pricey.
We have stayed at Appin Holiday Homes for the last 5 years and have always had a fantastic time. The lodges and caravans are ideal for short stays and the location is excellent for trips around the West Coast of Scotland.
We have stayed in both their lodges and caravans at Appin Holiday Homes for over 5 years now and have never been disappointed. Jim and Julie are excellent hostes and always near by for information or assistance. We can not recommend A H H highly enough.
floors not cleaned .oven and pans unusable.mattress in double room so old had to put blanket on bed so no spring marks on skin.door to ensuite didnt shut at all.but the view and quiet made the stay worthwhile.
Lovely location, very friendly owners. Could just do with a ramp as well as a walk in shower for my 92yr old mother.
We spent 3 nights in the Cherry Tree Lodge and loved every minute. The location is stunning and the condition of the lodge is impeccable. Great customer service and was so impressed by the facilities both in the lodge, and also in the grounds of the holiday homes. Can't recommend this place enough! A huge thanks to Jim and Julie for allowing us to have such an awesome start to 2018. Slainte! x
We had a nice stay at Appin Holiday Park. The loch-side location was very picturesque and the owners were friendly. The caravan was generally in good condition although a little dated. The only slight issue was the proximity to a busy road where you could sometimes hear traffic at night and in the mornings. Appin is in a really good spot to visit the Highlands, close to Fort William, Glencoe etc and close to Oban for taking ferries to the islands.
An excellent base to explore from in a beautiful area. The owners are friendly and helpful, and the site is well maintained, we had a very enjoyable week, with excellent weather!
Have been going to Appin Holiday Homes for over 25 years now and it has always been a relaxing and beautiful place. The owners - Jim & Julie always make us feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The Lodges all have beautiful views across Loch Creran. The back of the cabins is the old disused railway line and is great for walks (with or without a dog). Loch Creran is right on the doorstep and is good for fishing (no permit needed). Our 2 children (10&11) have both fallen in love with the place and we can't wait to go back!
We had a lovely holiday in comfortable, well equipped accommodation. The whole site is well kept and maintained. The only minor negative was the mattress on the double bed was too soft for me , but my partner thought it was fine. We found the site quiet well managed and will definitely make a return visit.
